I am so glad I called A Place for Mom
I am so glad I called A Place for Mom. I was looking for an assisted living facility for diabetics and they were able to send me a list of places. The process was easy and I found a facility within a few days. The representatives were super nice and helpful. I can't say enough good things about A Place for Mom.

I made one phone call (from the airport), and from there on the process was seamless. I spoke with a kind and knowledgeable advisor, who also had a pleasant sense of humor, who directed me to a local specialist. I was a little hesitant at first, as things seemed to move a bit quickly, but the longer we talked, the more at ease I felt. Through the local specialist, I made a series of appointments to tour locations. I interacted with her real time the day of, and she was able to adjust/cancel on the fly. Being able to send just one text message and have those things handled was super helpful during this stressful process. Never has there been any pressure. I would use this service again, and I would recommend it to anyone in the position of needing to find a place for mom or dad in a hurry.

Chef Cindy made the best birthday cake and it made the move in experience for my mother. Very important to me to have some one care.
This is a data mining service. They do not vett facilities and you will be spammed.
I completed a web form at a specific facility website asking for pricing information. I immediately received several calls from an unfamiliar number which turned out to be from this organization. Thinking it was the facility I'd reached out to via the web form I called back.
All I wanted was pricing information for a specific facility and when it (eventually) became clear I was not speaking with that facility, I made my goal abundantly clear.
I was told I had to answer a number of (invasive) personal and financial questions in order to get to the person who could help me with that, so I did. Then the person I was transferred to required more deeply (invasive) personal information "to make sure we were a good fit for the community's services. I was told we did and I would receive an email with the documentation shortly.
All it produced was AI generated texts, emails, and phone spam for over a month that's still coming and none of these communications have had anything to do with the facility I inquired about. Some were even about facilities not even local to our search area, and I never received the basic information I asked for about the local facility I'd reached out to.
It's been non-stop, even though I block the phone #s and email addresses. They just change their contact info, which is very predatory.
The entire 30 minutes I spent on the phone trying to get basic pricing information for a single facility was just "data mining" to promote a number of other facilities they contract with and earn commissions from.
This "service" is not for families, it's to market facilities who pay them for leads (our information).
Instead of helping our family, it's just added more stress, and unwanted complication to what should be a very personal (and is already a difficult choice) and turned it into a greedy numbers game.
The negative reviews here are real.
Do yourself and favor and DO NOT FILL OUT ANY WEB FORMS.
Read facility reviews and check the state website for compliance and violations first, then call the providers that score well, and offer what you're looking for directly, if you have questions or want to do a tour.
Quite honestly, the tactical approach of "A Place for Mom" (and 2 others like it) reminded me of interviewing divorce attorneys. It's really all about the money, and the entire process and resulting AI generated and other spam has left me just as disgusted.
4th time with A Place For Mom
I have used A Place For Mom, now on 4 parents. At first, on this last service with them, we thought for my father in law, the only option was to apply for Medicaid on his behalf. Walking away to the facilities that can't take anymore pre Medicaid.... Then a few days later, Olivia called, from APFM, saying "I saw what you're needs you were looking for in your file. Do you know their are other options!". She them explained about some local owned memory care facilities that might be the way to go". She had Susan call me and within a day or so, we had options we didn't even know about. They were a God send and we thank you.
Kelly made the search process easy
Kelly made the search process easy. I told her exactly what I needed, price range, Medicare requirements, moms memory care needs, and location of where I wad searching. Kelly was so very helpful and found the perfect place for my mom and I have been thrilled! She has checked in with me and is also going to visit the location when she is traveling through town. I just love Kelly and how she shows concern and care for the elder.
Helped Narrow the Choices
Through A Place for Mom, we got connected with the right place to move my mom. The representative I first spoke with collected detailed information about our needs and helped me set up initial tours with several homes that could work. It was the push I needed to actually go see them and start asking the necessary questions. I didn't end up talking to the personal consultant at all since we found a place so quickly, but it was nice to know she was available for me.
They were wonderful

Rebecca has been so wonderful from the start. Always willing to go the extra mile for us. She is great at following up to see if there is anything we need. It is so appreciated at a time when we really didn't know which way to go for our father.

Place for Mom was an invaluable support for finding an appropriate living situation for my mother with ongoing memory loss. The staff was very responsive and listened carefully to understand the types of environments that would work best. As a result we have found a place that both mom and I (her caregiver) feel comfortable with and that supports the time we we'd like to spend together that we cherish.
I wish that there were 10 stars here
I wish that there were 10 stars here. Your company was extremely helpful in my quest for...a place for mom. I loved the fast, simple online questions that within minutes created a simple plan of locations that would fit into my parameters. Incredible follow up by phone with Michelle. I am highly recommending this organization to all friends in similar situations. Can't thank you enough!

Top Notch Service
This is a premier service that I had not known existed. This should be on everyone's list of resources no matter what age they are; everyone will need the information they provide at some time in their lives. They provided dozens of facilities for review, arranged for and scheduled the visits, offered tips for price negotiations, it made my research SO EASY.
Fast & Helpful
We had an emergency situation with our mother and needed to find her a new home within a couple weeks. I called A Place for Mom and they kicked into action immediately - setting up multiple appointments for places to visit. We were able to decide that day after our visits. Our mom is now living in a beautiful new home surrounded with wonderful caregivers. Thank you!

My experience and guidance with Marcus was outstanding. He helped me to navigate the best options for my mom and also guided me in my challenges. He was available when I needed him and so very helpful in the overall process. So glad I got help from A Place for Mom.
A Place For My Dad with Dementia
I reached out to A Place for Mom when we were researching for my Dad. I was looking for Memory Care facilities. James was helpful finding places that fit our needs that we could tour. He followed up after our tours for feedback and searching different options. It helped when making a very difficult situation a little less stressful.
Highly Recommend
I was beginning to search for an assisted living home and was extremely frustrated and did not know where to start. The whole experience was great. I looked at 2 recommended places and we chose the 2nd. The process was smooth. I received referrals of places that met my needs and would probably still be looking had I not had the help I received. Angelique was super sweet and understood our situation. Highly Recommend!
