A place for mom helped me locate a senior living place to start and begin a new life thank you for your service

Communication. The representative stayed in touch through our entire search process. Even reaching out on weekends. She was also knowledgeable about facilities in our area. We ended up choosing one of the facilities she shared with us.

Great and fast service. Making sure that I had all the information that I needed to make a decision on how to help mom.

I liked that a place for mom narrowed down Communities to tour based on the needs of my loved one. Additionally, the touring checklist and Key Questions To Ask was amazing. Without those two resources, I would not have known what to look for or what questions to ask.

I contacted someone from A Place for Mom (APFM), after getting a brochure from a social worker at a nursing home my older brother was in. I called APFM mid afternoon and told the situation I was having with my brother, including that I did not expect this to happen quickly or easily given the resistance of my brother to be anywhere but home. By late that afternoon I received a call back from Joanne in the Lancaster PA area where I was visiting my brother. I explained that I would like to visit several assisted care types of facilities, but was only in town for a few days.
By 9:00 that evening I received a call back from Joanne that she was setting up 3 visits to places that she felt would be appropriate for my brother, all for the next day (perfect!!!). My brother's son and I visited all three facilities the next day and one place clearly stood out for us. Joanne followed up with us to see how things went and was very interested in our reactions and reports. The next day I took my brother to visit the one we chose and he was interested. He actually wanted to tour the facility twice! We made arrangements with the facility we chosen and had him admitted and physically transferred within one week. I can't adequately express how helpful and respectful the process was working with A Place for Mom was. I know that we couldn't have accomplished what we did, particularly in such a short time with out their help. In the end we identified a placement that was excellent within two days. Everything as it turned out went much faster than I expected, I returned to Pennsylvania a week later to support the transition from nursing home to assisted care and all turned out extremely well.

Robin was so helpful and understanding and gave me really good advice on making my sisters transition easier. I was so confused and trying to find a place on my on was a night mare . Please use A Place For Mom and don't stress yourself out.I hesitated because I am not great using my computer and phone but Robin kept in contact with me. She worked with me for quite a few months. Final decision was made yesterday .Much to my relief .

A Place for Mom is just that, exactly a place for a mom like me. As a planner, I decided it was time for me to move on to the next step, independent senior living in a community that offers what I need most at this point in my life. The ladies who helped me find my new community were extremely helpful, especially when I became overwhelmed with making my final choice. A Place for Mom guided me from start to finish. This new chapter would not have been possible without A Place for Mom. I live exactly where I need to right now.

They arranged 6 different assisted livings in the area requested. I was rather surprised at how much money A place for Mom earned for a successful referral - several thousand dollars. I truly don’t feel the minimal work they performed for me was worth the price. I could easily have looked up the Assisted Livings within the zip code desired and read the reviews myself. It is my understanding that the chosen Assisted Living owes a Place for Mom the referral money.
