ANNOYING HAND HOLDING

Stop making the potential house buyers hold hands. They look pathetic and it’s sickening to watch.
What is the matter with these people that agree to hold hands constantly even walking up stairs.
What do they look like..? A bunch of numptys..

I used to like A place in the sun as it…

I used to like A place in the sun as it gave good ideas. I do watch it sometimes but when Jean is on presenting I have to turn it off. I find her very uncomfortable to watch. She asks for potential buyers budgets then asks their wiggle room. She proceeds to show them dumps for their budget! Then always goes into their wiggle room. Most time people have a wiggle room to do a bit work to their tastes but the presenters seem to think its to use to buy a property. Whats the point of asking for their budget to then take them out the budget!
Jean is very Patronising to customers showing them dumps of properties that dont even meet their brief then has ordasity to call them fussy customers! How rude to put your customers down and slag them off to the camera when they've walked out the room to look about. Listen to what the customers want. Customers are paying for the property not you Jean!! She puts people down and is condescending and oh my god how many times can you cram the word space into the 1 hour slot! It's her buzz word its almost like she is on commission for how many times she can say "space".
She also ego seeks and likes to have her ego stroked by saying do I get a 10 out of 10 or have I cracked it. It's all about her. When they also walk around the properties she says things like this is the lounge/diner and its open plan! As if the clients can't see its a lounge/diner and open plan. Just stupidity and talking to them like children. Also that James labels his clients, very rude he is on show on 4th March saying on camera that his clients are "difficult to please" just horrible labelling people like he does. They aren't difficult its a big commitment in a different country they are obviously going to be careful about their purchase.
Place in the sun needs to change their presenters to ones that are not patronising and belittling.

A place In The Sun is losing it’s appeal

I have watched APITS for many years. Really enjoyed it and lovely to see people buying property in interesting places. Jasmine Harmine has always been interested in the buyers as does Ben Hillman since he joined the show. Numerous other presenters, mostly relatively new, are very artificial and playing solely to the camera. They do not take on board what people are asking for or within their price. Wiggle room, want 2 bedrooms at least and then show them 1 bedroom & surprised not “a contender” . Say that the buyers really like a property when clearly do not. Sadly it is not the programme it used to be. Why does Lee Juggurnauth have to come half dressed to the programme, if he had his shirt buttons undone any more they would be down to waist. Know he is keen on clothes, but this is supposed to be a programme about buying property, not on a catwalk. Jasmine appears sadly far less often now, she is still being authentic and helpful to buyers, in my mind still is the best presenter. Possibly the directors should look at all the presenters and decide if there are too many and cull. Sadly I now never record the programme, and only occasionally watch it, though keep looking in case either Jasmine or Ben presenting.

It's very samey

This TV programme should be renamed '£80K house in southern Spain'. Because that is what pretty much every episode is. They even keep going back to the same areas in the same countries. It would be far more interesting to see other places for a change.

You are left alone after investing

I invested in A Place in the Sun to promote a development I’m working on. From the start, I was contacted almost daily until I agreed to invest around €1,000. Over the course of a year, I received only two leads, and neither converted.

The team had committed to supporting lead generation through advertising and newsletters. However, despite months of follow-ups, the newsletter never materialized. Recently, after a long period of silence, they responded only to say that the marketing manager “will be back on Monday.”

Overall, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The lack of follow-through and poor communication made this partnership extremely unsatisfactory.

Just watched a 2024 episode presented…

Just watched a 2024 episode presented by Lee with guests Carol and David Allen who wanted a holiday home in the Valencia region for around £225k. My goodness, what a miserable entitled couple, especially her!! It was actually painful to watch.

I have watched this programme for years…

I have watched this programme for years but am now fed up with it. It is repetitive and patronising.
Jasmine Harman is smug and false.
Leah Charles King is the worst.
Lee Juggernaut is more interested in showing off his chest
Ben Hillman has like Jasmine become smug & patronising.
Change the format and the presenters!!!

Crete visit

The presenter, Craig, mispronounced most of the Greek villages, which were not difficult to say, especially Elounda, which is well known and easy to pronounce, but he repeatedly called it Elouda. Ignorant.

I have watched this how for many years....

I have watched this how for many years, but now find it almost unbearable to watch due to the terrible way the presenters speak. For instance, using the wrong grammar, saying 'f' instead of 'th' (Ben Hillman worst one for that). As for Jean - her voice grates on my nerves so much, I cannot even watch the episodes that she is on. With her wrong grammar - 'give' instead of 'gave' and saying the letter 'e' instead of 'i' in words, it makes it so difficult to know what she's going on about. Don't get me started on them all using the word "SPACE" for everything, instead of "ROOM" or "AREA". Dining SPACE, Living SPACE, outside SPACE - arggghh. Some of the contestants are annoying too, especially the ones who say they've never even visited the place they want to buy a holiday home/permanent home in. Also, the ones who are obviously only there for a free holiday and to get on TV, can usually tell those ones just by the look on their faces as they walk round and why do they all expect a mansion or palace on their £60K budget!!

So false ... complete rip off

How can you have a presenter who cannot even pronounce the name of the town he is presenting? Also, as the properties advertised are paying to be shown, you get to see a load of crap

Show other Countries

Too many spain , more of italyfof one and other countries , im sure people would want to see , how about a programme showing potential of other countries without buyers , eg: whats on offer .
Also big bug bear is when yhe buyer puts in an offer and the presenter gives a look or opinion of it being. either , a cheeky offer or worse a really cheeky offer , all they are there for is yo put the offer forward end of. And some of the spanish properties ard just awful , Also terrible when presnters get dissspointed that the buyers arent falling over themselves to buy a gawd awful property , Jasmine and Ben are by far the most empathetic .
Also what is the point of the million pound property , with the exception of a few , they are awful too . Show needs a revamp .. starts turning into "This Morning" im off

When buying tickets the write up was…misleading

When buying tickets the write up was misleading I.e that you could get Visa advice for the whole of Europe, that the exhibition also covered more European countries when in fact it mainly covered Spain some Italian and Cyprus.

We also feel that there would be several presenters each day not just the one.

The ticket price is very reasonable but if you are travelling a distance it wasn’t worth the travel
