Great customer service along with helping complete the payment, guitar was packaged very well and went through the 250km journey without any damage/scratches etc

Never been here before but was recommended to do so by friend as I was looking to buy a Gibson or Martin acoustic guitar. I was greeted warmly like an old friend, nothing was too much trouble and I had a great choice of models to try out. Made a decision over night and went back the next day to pick up my latest toy, a beautiful Hummingbird fully set up with new strings freshly fed fingerboard ready to enjoy. Jamie and the team were awesome, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy they seem happy to ensure you get exactly what you are looking for. That was two weeks ago and every time I pick it up I get a huge grin and feeling of satisfaction. Highly recommended.

I have bought quite a few items over the past 5 years. Great purchases include an Epiphone Casino, Gibson Les Paul Tribute and a Fender Jaguar Johnny Marr signature. Whatever I ask Jamie to get in stock, he duly obliges. Apollo carries an amazing range of guitars, amplifiers and pedals. The only issue for me is that I can't get there as often as I would like. Jamie is a really helpful guy, and very knowledgeable. He is a very experienced musician and understands the needs of guitar players. I prefer to shop on the high street as there is nothing like holding a guitar and knowing immediately that it is 'the one'. Keep on keeping on...

This shop is incredible!
Firstly the effort that has gone into the display of the shop windows is sublime.
Startling backdrop display of the famous cavern walls matched with complete itinerary of beatles backline and instruments stemming from please please me to let it be.

Think Denmark street London in the early 90’s and it’s all here in one place.
I dont think ive been hit with this much excitement since I was 16 years old and that was many moons ago.
Think of a guitar and it’s there .. from the most budget friendly guitars through the mid rangers right up to the wallet busters of your Fenders and Gibsons .
I honestly didn’t know what to feast my eyes on first.

These guys have everything and I mean everything!
Most importantly though, what they have is time, understanding, and a willingness to help. A deep rooted sense of responsibility to their guitar community.
This brother and sister combo are cool as f#ck !
So so helpful, not only about the instruments but as a tourist up from London they suggested a few places to visit for some good nights out in and around Liverpool.

I used to come this store back when I llived locally and always found them to be helpful and offer great advice on purchases.

Recently made an order and had a misunderstanding, they addressed it briefly, in an understanding manner and sorted me out. For that I am truly grateful.

As a local business ran by musicians they will do more to support a customer than certain large chain stores and that is all you can ask for. For that reason I'll continue to make purchases and support their brand!

At first.To be totally honest,I wasnt too sure after I placed my order because I came here and read the reviews for apollo music, 'My Bad.'
I had read of getting no replies, delayed deliveries,and none arrivals yes indeed I panicked.
I had just ordered my son a quite expensive Christmas present (expensive for me and not the price of what I had bought) and now I wasn't sure if I was going to get it,what condition it was going to be, or if I was going to get any answers to my questions.My gut was telling me it was all fine. I should have listened to my gut!
Jamie responded to my persistent emails with compassion, understanding, politely and completely, answering every fear and doubt I had. He told me when it was going to arrive ,which was surprisingly quite quick.As soon as I got the tracking from DHL (a company I'm not fond of)
I was tracking it's every move Tuesday came and dhl hadn't updated it from being in delivery depot. Next I Get an email saying they had attempted a delivery at 12pm but couldn't get it well that was a untruth as there are a lot of people around my app was saying still at delivery depot I tried frantically to get to talk to someone at dhl 'but you know how that goes' I contacted Jamie (as late as it was Jamie still replied) Jamie contacted dhl the next day and dhl delivered my sons present earlier than the alloted time slot given.
Was dhl lying about their attempted deliver ? probably?
Would I buy from Apollo music again? "Hell yeah"

I love buying from independent music shops and deliberately avoided ordering an item which I could have ordered cheaper from amazon to support an independent shop. When the item had not arrived after a fortnight following their email promising your order "will be processed as soon as possible", I rang and was assured over the phone by a very nice sounding gentleman that the item had already been sent but that they would send another one to replace the item which had not arrived, but that it was currently awaiting delivery from overseas and would be sent as soon as it was available again, but the promised 'replacement' never arrived either. I sent 4 emails to them querying it and did not receive a single reply. It makes me really sad to write this as I always like to give sellers the benefit of the doubt, but I have not had an experience like this before, and I will sadly not be taking things on trust again from a seller.

Absolute excellent service, I ordered a rg550 and within the same day it arrived 2hr 30mins later in brand spanking new condition, it was also set up exactly how i wanted it close action, everything you could imagine jampacked into an amazing set of gear. I 100% recommend this company and will be looking forward to purchase from them in the future.

Contacted to confirm availability of a guitar I couldn't find elsewhere. Received response quickly and delivery was speedy

after an email and two phone calls, communicating with Jamie, asking for a Certificate of Authentication (COA) from a purchase made at Apollo Music, Birkenhead (the original COA being incorrect for the item purchased) and being told by Jamie (phone call recorded and kept), yes, yes, i'll sort this, but due to Covid there are delays bla, bla, bla, but i'll call you back later today and, yes, i'll keep you updated, bla bla bla .... nothing, got no further phone call, no help, no assistance and that's now over three months. So I found an address in USA for Fender and got in touch, they re-directed me back to the UK and I got in touch, and the wonderful guy there asked me to send photo of front, back and serial number of item, and this morning, two weeks later, I have received Certificate of Authentication .... and the moral of this story is, (a) avoid trusting Jamie's 'i'll ring you back and keep you updated' baloni, and 'I'll get this done for you' .. (especially if you're a woman, because he'd possibly have acted upon his words for a man - you know how it is in this patriachal world) ... and (b) do it yourself !! Fender were/are great ... Apollo Music, not so.

I woke up wanting a new acoustic guitar to get back into learning again during lockdown. My old one was tired and battered after being abused by little fingers that have come along twanging the strings and bashing it on the floor and walls over the years.

After a quick search on the web and coming across Apollo I exchanged a few emails back and forth with Jamie who was prompt, friendly and very helpful and I was back home with a brand new guitar strumming away by lunchtime.

Great communication and I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys in the future. I also bought a wall hanging hook to keep it away from further temptation from the little fingers !!

I look forward to being able to pop into the shop when it’s safe to do so and having a look around and a chat , great local business 👍🏻.

A great shop with really helpful staff. I recently bought a Vintage VSA540 Dave Grohl edition semi hollow electric guitar from here. Fantastic price..... this guitar punches well above its weight. It plays and sounds like a more expensive guitar than it actually is. I am really happy with my purchase and will use Apollo Music in the future.
