Honestly, their sales team are absolutely terrible, unless you agree to a) your husband also attending the sales meeting , because the ‘wife’ clearly isn’t a decision maker and b) to a minimum of 3 to 4 hours for the sales meeting then they are extremely rude to you. They pay their designers for just one meeting and work in the principle that if they stay long enough you will give in and agree to buy there and then. That sort of pressure sales is what gave double glazing salesmen a bad reputation in the 80’s and I thought things had moved on but clearly in Apples case not. However good or otherwise the product is they won’t be getting our business.
Rude sales team who won’t let you get a word in when you talk to them I was only making a general enquiry but they just don’t listen when they do let you speak. Will not be going any further with them at all.
We had a bungalow completely refitted with new windows and doors. The fitters were excellent, prompt, polite and good workmanship. However, that cannot be said for higher management. Surveyor ordered wrong windows for kitchen, did not include under sill brackets and when questioned he stated we should hav3 made it clear on survey.WHICH WE DID.
When front door side panels were fitted they were black lead not silver as the rest of the house, guttering not completed ,chrome handles not supplied as requested and clear glass in kitchen windows not leaded.
The kitchen panels had to be refitted THREE times to them not alining correctly. On hearing that the side panels for the door could not be delivered due to no bubble wrap, that certainly took the biscuit. The side corner for gutter took three attempts before it was put right and after an overflow from guttering that was fixed running upwards all now appears correct.
It has taken nearly 5 months to complete the contract to our satisfaction.
When asked to speak to higher management re compensation for our time and harassment,we were told we could go no higher than a site manager
We were informed thatApple did not recompense as they employed staff to correct errors that inevitable went wrong when dealing with building works. After some hesitation we were offered£200 which we took and were told that the site manager would be hauled over the coals for offering such an amount.
We are thoroughly disgusted and fed up with Apple and would definately not use them or recommend them at all
The Company has no networking system amongst departments, telephone calling is a joke and although, through utter exhaustion and frustration we have accepted the £200 payment on speaking to friends who are solicitors and businessmen they feel it is a shoddy jester.
Thank good ness for the Company who recently installed our new patio doors. One price given at survey. No haggling. Fitted perfectly within two weeks. Paid in full with complete satisfaction. Phone calls answered promptly and were able to speak to top management if required.
Copied from my Google review:
"Product is passable, however the fitters were very professional (I believe they're sub-contractors) and the fitters' after sales service is a lot more professional than their sales people's.
I advise you use a false phone number if you buy here as you will be bombarded with nuisance phone calls forever afterwards. Despite numerous requests to cease, and two complaints to the TPS, they still persist in phoning me up trying to sell me more kit more than two years after my initial purchase."
The builders/ fitter /plasterer where 5 stars but what let Apple down was at the beginning the lack of communication.
Other than the above I would highly recommend Apple.

Waste of time. Arrogant sales man and a price of £18k for a £7k job of replacement of conservatory roof. Also had the audacity to say "Well why do you need any more quotes??" Would not use or recommend the company.
Similar experience to previous reviewer.
They insisted that my wife was also at home as a condition of providing a quote. Quite bizarre in this day and age.
Further, the surveyor gave me a verbal quote without discussing materials, showing samples etc.
The next day I get a phone-call asking if I have accepted the quote.
When I request the quote in writing I'm told that "providing quotations in writing is not Apple's policy."
Probably not illegal, but suspect practice. Best avoided.
Those who have this company 5 stars may well have had a different experience or simply agreed immediately without considering other quotes?

I would like to be writing this review as a customer of Apple Home improvements but sadly I didn’t get as far as having a quote from them. I requested a quote online and was called by a representative and after establishing what I was interested in and how I had found them (a personal recommendation and knowing they have been around for 20 years) I was told that it was company policy only to visit my home if my husband was present! Do they seriously think in this day and age that a woman can only decide on the design, cost and payment of doors with her husband being present? It wasn’t that they wouldn’t come if I was the only one in the house, as I told them my sister was here with me, but specifically that my husband had to be in the house (not even in the same room). Seriously Apple, you need to get into the 21st Century with these outdated and clearly confused values. I’ll be spending MY hard earned cash somewhere else!

Over the moon with the finish on my new door looks fantastic. Makes the front of the house very tidy and opens so much better instead of it sticking as it was a very old wooden door. The work man I had was very tidy and a nice man. I would highly recommend to Apple..

Having just moved and our new home in desperate need of new windows I contacted Apple Home Improvements and they came out within a couple of days. We had previously used them to replace the windows in our old house and were very happy with the service and quality of the product. We had no problems whatsoever throughout the process. Installing of the windows was very smooth and the windows look fantastic. We are very pleased and glad we went with Apple Home Improvements again.

Very pleased with our driveway. The workmen were very polite, efficient and worked hard and left the site very tidy. We have had many complimentary comments from friends, neighbours and passers-by. An excellent job well done.

From initial visit to the showroom, the visit to the property to give a quotation, the surveyor, and the fitting we found no faults in any of the above aspects of the purchase of our door and side panel. I would have no reservations in recommending this company to anyone.

I wrote a review on the 8th March after having boiler fitted. Was told it would be looked into, but still not heard any thing .
By coincidence, a representative from Apple Home Improvements called at our door on the day that we moved into our new house. We were new to the area so did not know of any local tradespeople but we knew that we were going to have to price up having a new front and back door fitted.
I informed the representative that he could give us a quote for some new doors and he made us an appointment for someone to come round and speak with us about this. The appointment was kept as were all other arrangements that were agreed with Apple. We found everyone to be friendly and professional. We liked the product, especially when compared to others on the market but at that time we had not had any other quotes and we were reluctant to commit on the day.
We were not pressured and we decided to get other quotes before we made a decision. When we were happy with the product and the price we decided to go ahead. We were very happy with the people that came to fit the doors. They were pleasant, friendly and efficient. They did not make any mess and were clean and tidy throughout.
We are very happy with our new doors and would recommend this company based on our personal experiences of their product, their efficiency, tidiness and general pleasantness to deal with.

This review is for the replacement of a plastic roof on my conservatory with a solid insulated roof. I am very happy with the results - the room is much cosier and quieter. It now feels part of the house and conforming to building regulations.
The fitters were skilled professionals, completing the project in four days. I installed the wiring myself, the plasterers making good to a very high standard.
I only have two quibbles.
The price of £12000 for a 3m x 3m roof seemed a little high even with a 'December to February' discount of 25% from £16000, but after signing the contract I saw tv adverts promising 33% discounts, which seems to indicate that it would be expected for buyers to barter with the salesman. I would prefer it if the company was more open and transparent on this issue. The second quibble is that there was a perhaps understandably high level of dust carried throughout the house and my nice oak floor has suffered somewhat.
Overall however I am still very pleased with the results.

We bought an Apple conservatory about 2and a half years ago. The fitters were great but the roof company made a complete bodge up and the place was flooded.Apple sent the people back at 8pm to stop the flood.
Since then we have had many service calls - broken door, leaking roof, panels not properly fitted, dripping condensation etc etc.
At present the leaking roof has been looked at; attempted repair and now long wait since january. As self employed workers we have lost several hundred pounds in work waiting in for the repairers. This is just a farce now and I would never recommend this product to anybody. April 5th is now the earliest yet another set of workers can call to attempt to stop the leaks. This is Crap!!
