Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 2,542 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers encountered issues with their orders, frequently receiving incomplete deliveries, incorrect items, or substitutions that were not suitable. The delivery service itself was often criticized for being unreliable, with orders arriving late, at the wrong address, or not at all. Reviewers also expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing staff as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to communicate with, especially when trying to resolve problems or obtain refunds for missing products. Some people were dissatisfied with the products themselves, citing quality issues or design flaws. Additionally, a few customers mentioned negative experiences with in-store staff, describing them as unfriendly or sarcastic. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with the helpfulness of some delivery drivers and specific in-store colleagues, praising their exceptional service and positive attitudes.

Asda are allowing the greedy cretins…

Asda are allowing the greedy cretins that are "Jaffa cakes" to pass off 30 packs as 36 packs(the original, 3x12) under a family pack name! Absolute disgrace, nothing but pure greed. Jaffa as a company didn't even have the decency to downgrade the size of the cardboard pack or internal plastic pack size, leaving them a standard 12 pack size but with only 10 cakes in each sleeve. Making it obvious. Insulting as a consumer.
Never again, asda and jaffa can fook off.

Ongoing website issues.

What a shambles Asda is becoming with its ongoing website issues. I am amazed they have t got a handle on this yet - it’s been going on for months. The collateral damage must be enormous.
Get you act together Asda, you ought to be embarassed.

Price increases for sub standard produce.

£1.79 for a pack of small peppers. They were in the salad drawer for two days and spoilt.

AI based customer service means that they can now get away with selling us substandard produce with no comeback. Yet another level of disappointment besides the economical crushing we are subjected to.

Selling food not fit for putpose

I had a delivery from Asda but the fruit. Veg were all bad I it had to be throned away . I contacted the manager but heard nothing back.from them So I sent two letters two the chief Executive of Asda but they have not had the Decency to answer my letters .
There food is not fit for purpose I will be letting trading standards know that Asda is selling fruit and veg not fit for purpose .and Asda do not care .no wonder they said they are struggling .
Thank goodness for Aldi
Their food is always fresh .I am disgusted to think that Asda have not been in touch with me .
All I can think is they Know that there food is rubbish .
Yet they have the cheek to charge pick pack and delivery .
The pick and packers should be ashamed of them selfs picking bad veg and fruit . People be aware if you complain they do not want to know
But quick to take your money .so it serves them right if they fold under
They deserve it .

Don't use Asda delivery service.

Complete lack of & disregard for customer service. Order cancelled because delivery driver did not want to deliver. Cancelled during delivery slot. Tried to rebook but Customer Services were uncooperative, unhelpful & basically useless. Shall never use Asda again, awful service, poor App & unreliable. They do not deserve to be successful!

I appreciate Asda stores for launching…

I appreciate Asda stores for launching their own brand, oats, chocolate milk, mini cartons, a pack of six. The price is good as well. It did start at the beginning at £ seen1 .19 £ has gone up to £2.10 however, still cheaper than the higher brands and the taste is really good also.As I have two children with cows milk allergy. It was difficult to find small cartons of milk for me to send to the nurseries in their pack lunches. The kids enjoy drinking this milk and it’s made it really easy for me also. They also stock a wide range of free from items which really help.
Thank you

Shocking, wont be using asda anymore

Ordered my weekly shopping to be delivered. Nothing turned up. Rang Asda to be told its not coming, it will be cancelled. I told the customer service agent that they've left me with no food and no money until the refund is processed. She responded by saying "yeah". No care at all for customers! Shocking service.

Purchased two packs of Lurpak at Asda…

Purchased two packs of Lurpak at Asda clearly advertised as “2 for £5”, but was charged £4 each at checkout.
Had to contact customer services myself to resolve it and provide evidence. While they refunded the £3 overcharge, they refused any goodwill gesture and told me to go back to the store in person to take it further.
Disappointing experience — misleading pricing and poor customer service. Customers shouldn’t have to chase errors or be inconvenienced to fix mistakes made by the store.
Expected better from Asda.

Consistently poor service

Well done Asda! You've done it again. You messed up my order and delivered the wrong size.
Still better than last time with 4 of the 5 bins ordered were delivered after failing a few deliveries. And to make your point, they were all dented and scuffed. But luckily for me, when I spoke to customer service and returned them, I was reimbursed for 3 items.

Asda opticians - Naz

I bought my new glasses from their Optitions in High Wycombe. The lady who served me was absolutely lovely. Very helpful, friendly, personable and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Naz's customer service, or the glasses. Very happy all round

There is never a week where they dont balls up my order. If you buy 3 item For £12.00 and on is not availble then you dont get 3 for £12.00 you pay full price for the other 2 item thats not fair. I think the pickers are a bit clueless. If one lot of prawns arent avalible there has to be another option?

Worst ever customer service

Worst ever customer service . My little boys bed broke and it has been less than a year so I payed over £100 for a bed to not even last a year at first Asda refused point blank to help me as the “item was out of its 30 day warranty “ I’m not sure why a bed would only have 30 days warranty as it’s an item that should be lasting years . Finally told that actually they can help as the warranty on Asda beds is one year and was told I can’t receive the refund untill the old bed is collected bit pointless but whatever so I booked the collection where the courier then refused to take to the bed as it needed to be “packaged” not one person from Asda customer service told me this so this delayed the collection by a day then today the courier has went to the complete wrong address not sure how when they where at the right address yesterday so the miscommunication between Asda and their courier is absolutely awful . This is my toddler sons bed it’s completely ruined his routine as he’s having to sleep on a makeshift bed on the floor as my bed is only a single and won’t go to bed without me in it . Asda don’t won’t to help and won’t process the refund untill the broken bed is collected and now the collection isn’t untill Monday and the refund won’t hit my bank for 3-5 days so we’re talking nearly another 2 weeks before my son has a bed . Absolute joke I’ve never had such a problem with customer service before over something so simple . ASDA HAVE LEFT MY CHILD TO SLEEP ON A MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR DUE TO THEIR OWN FAULTY ITEMS AND POOR COMMUNICATION
