This is so bad. Why do I still use it? It has only worked intermittently at best. The only reason I continue is I have 2 laptops which I want to keep synched but I also back them up using a profession... See more

Do not buy this
GUI is confusing and up/downloadspeed is...... maybe it had impressed someone in 1995.
My intention was to backup dronepictures and movie-files but it is just not possible.
I can´t belive that ASUS, a company that makes good products, can, and will, stand for this crap.
It's a shocker keep away like a Great White!
I just installed this 'service' onto my Asus desktop and it is just a shocker. So counter-intuitive, leaves you wondering what the heck is going on and it is truly perplexing to use. I am uninstalling much to my own delight as it a pain and fails to live up to any kind of expectation of a reasonable computer user who needs to backup their pc on a daily basis. Run don't walk!
Horribly un-intuitive
Horribly un-intuitive. Vital parts of an explanation on what each of the apps do are on a site that is not in English. Barely does anything it claims to do.
Does not register files added to the backup folder. Does not auto backup - or does so in an adhoc and wholly mysterious manner.
Pick just about any other service and you will be better off, because I refuse to believe something worse than this exists.
I did like everybody else I didn't read…
I did like everybody else I didn't read the reviews first I usually do. I think the exceptionally low price was really caught my attention. We've always had Asus products so I think that was another reason. Downloading and setting it up was a bit confusing. Also I didnt realize I needed to learn Chinese to be able to use it. I thought there would be a way to change the language in settings somewhere but I wasn't able to find that. I decided to give up and try again later. Then I thought about reviews. So it's something like you can't cancel or get a refund?
A big mistake
A big mistake. It's terrible. It does no work, Unfortunally I did read the other prvious comments only after the payment. Totally bad.
OMG...I was attracted to the low price…
OMG...I was attracted to the low price and took a bit of a gamble. This has got to be the worse cloud service in the past few decades: sloth slow up/down and occasionally you get the "hey...we're like...uh...down for m a i n t e n a n c e " though the bandwidth never seems to improve one bit. I'm telling you....just DON'T waste your time and money. It's not even worth $5. e.g. I attempted to upload a 500mb file over multiple days and the file either aborts, stalls, or would appear to be loading for well over an hour. I felt like poking a chopstick in my eye.
Asus Webstorage reviews from to normies
Asus Webstorage that everyone should remember is dirt cheap and for many of us we got it from email discount for my case almost 10x cheaper than Gdrive, but their performance also let's say 'bare bone'. their transfer speed is like old sata. i think they still using old HDD in their data centre. i'm only using for their somewhat useful sync folder and cloud storage. their 'personal device' is unregisterable. their backup feature is unusable, rather the backup feature false registered. A quick summary : for private use, yes. for important use, a big no.
Unfortunately I've just signed up…
Unfortunately I've just signed up before I read the reviews. So far I gave it 3 stars just because. Hopefully ASUS can turn this around and actually make it better.
Agree with the other reviews... terrible!
Agree with the other reviews, slow and useless, I'll have to remember to get out of renewing it. I had intended this as an alternate storage to my personal OneDrive storage to use for company files, as I am working as a consultant. Another "feature" it doesn't have: no way to save directly from the file menu to "ASUS storage" which I thought I would have - instead you have to open the App and upload everything manually (which means, unless I have missed something, you have to download to your machine first anyway). Awful.
Waste of money waste, of time
This service is useless, uploading files from the PC with the sync service just hangs stops, and you can only have one sync folder. Same problem with direct upload in the Webstorage web interface. The app for the ASUS NAS cannot be customized: not possible to select which folder to sync, so if you have 20tb of data and only 1 tb in the cloud... and it doesn't work.
Just terrible!
Don't even think about it
Don't even think about it! Total waste of money but more importantly your time. Doesn't work AT ALL. Shame on you ASUS.
Thank you for your non-service.
I was hoping that ASUS Web Storage was going to be the backup solution for me. Sadly, this is not the case.
I liked the fact that you could upload folders as well as files. My problem with your service is that the folders upload ok, but many, if not all, of the files do not, and after an inordinate amount of time "uploading" (I use the term loosely) end up containing 0 bytes. I don't know what that's about. Why you would offer an upload service that isn't an upload service? I have no idea. On top, the upload speed is dire; that is, worse than useless.
It's just that objectively, and by any standards, your service does not work. Unless you can a) fix the non-upload upload problem, and b) quit throttling the upload speed to unacceptable levels in this the 22nd century A.D., then I am done with your "service" that has thankfully expired. Also, I guess the Chinese UI is another added no-extra-charge bonus for western customers.
I sorely regret not having read these reviews of your storage solution before signing up and paying a yearly subscription for a service that I have literally not been able to use.
Here's a tip though. If you're going to charge for a service, saying that you provide the service, then it should actually be a service; otherwise, I consider it fraudulent.
Doing what your company is doing is actually bad for your business. Because I feel ripped off, that is the reason I am piling on like the rest of the litany of dis-satisfied customers here.
Last question: what is the reason that you do not provide the service you claim you do?
Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish, won't sync my Asustor NAS even with the Asustor Webstorage application from the app centre . Send emails for support and no response. Waste of money!
Wanted automated backup cloud storage for my NAS made by the same group of companies but dont work
Very bad interface and very messy.
Dreadful service - Maybe OK if you're Chinese!
I purchased Asus Webstorage at $16.99 for 1 year giving me 1TB space. Sounds good?
Now try login and download the desktop App'
The whole site seems to be in Chinese.
A couple of headers and icons have English, but don't expect anything useful.
After a few hours I gave up and popped an email off to support.
I ain't heard anything back and I don't hold my breath.
Simple waste of money!
Good Computers.....useless cloud storage
Waste of money and ZERO customer support. I'm chalking this up to a loss and looking for another cloud based solution. AVOID THIS IF YOU WANT CLOUD BACKUP!
in love with their rog products
Boy do I wish I'd seen these reviews…
Boy do I wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought into this. I am NO expert, not even close, to moving files around. So all this time I've been going crazy thinking I didn't know what I was doing! Been trying to move photos from Google Photos and One Drive to ASUS web storage for MONTHS!!! Literally going out of my mind......At least now I know it's not me!
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Looks like it completed only the first back up. No successful back up after that even for tiny folders. I bought 500GB back up, but have tried only < 1 GB backup so far. But every time I open the web page they keep advertising for bigger storage space. I have registered a dispute with Paypal and am trying to get my money back. Their service is a joke.
