Atlas Choice Reviews 

We have used Atlas Choice on our last two trips to Cyprus and have had a total of four cars from them. We have found Atlas Choice and their Cypriot partners a treat to deal with and am booking with them again tonight.

The Goldcar office is located about 5 miles from Marseille airport, so after waiting for half an hour we were finally picked up by shuttle . There were no child seats so our 8 month old baby had to sit on our lap! Waited for an hour at the Goldcar offices, sitting through a series of arguments between customers and the Goldcar staff, which by the sound of things, were either car related problems to insurance problems. I was soon to discover the reason for the other customer's anger, as I stepped up to find out that it was going to cost me £180 (€200) to reduce the €1300 excess on the vehicle. AtlasChoice and Goldcar purport to offer low cost car hire, which couldn't be further from the truth. The booking process didn't indicate the location of the office nor did it indicate how much the car hire would ultimately be. Another example of companies misleading customers. Top it off, the boss was rude, as was the lady who finally gave us the keys. Whether AtlasChoice or Goldcar will take any action to change the way they operate or to try to resolve this complaint and the many other complaints is anyone's guess. Someone has even set up a website for Goldcar complains! Customer dissatisfaction doesn't get better. I don't think I'll use them again.

Very impressed by the service offered by Atlas. Our Car was waiting for us when we arrived and our agent was very helpful and friendly.

The car was very clean and new.

Handing the car back at the airport was easy and efficient.

I would definitely recommend Atlas Choice.

used atlas choice many times. Always great value, fuss free rentals. Car pick up is from onsite car park - can be busy at peak times but isn't everywhere.

Very pleased on the whole but had to wait about 40mins for our car at faro when we were told it would only be a few mins.However,the car was fine with a greta boot which is what we needed for 4 sets of golf clubs.The car was fine during our 1 week stay although it was 4 years old.

Car rental at madeira airport was satisfactory but extra charge needed when taking car out and on return despite credit paid back on my card for full tank, this has still not appeared in my account 3 weeks later!

Really easy to book - website it really easy, plenty of option availability and a good price too. The process at Faro was straight forward and very quick. a happy customer

during my holiday it became clear via police I had been given a car with two front tyers under the legal limit. I had to pay for both tyers to be replaced. this company put the lives of both me and my wife in danger. On return I did of course complain but I have never recieved an apology or any compensation. Simply do not hire a car through this copany!!

Used them twice for Iceland and US car hires. Both went smoothly.

On arrival the representative was not anywhere to be seen. After around half an hour we finally found him and all seemed to be smooth until we exited car park and found that the exit ticket had a fee to pay whilst this was not much it was annoying. During our car hire the car brakes became faulty of which we contacted Atlas to advise and were told that they would come to our resort the follwing afternoon which meant we had to stay at the resort until such time. They said this would be at 1pm but it turned out to be 2.30pm!! When they arrived they expected my husband to accompany them to the garage of which he refused and the car was not then returned to us until around 6pm that evening. We have sent 2 emails requesting a refund for the 2 days hire but have not received a response to date which is almost 2 weeks later. The staff were extremely pleeasent and we cannot fault them but the issues we had and and still having are not professional and will prevent us using them again..

I rented a Ford Focus (or similar) through Atlas Choice from 19th July to 2nd August at Verona Airport, initially becuase they were the most reasonably priced.
The rental was with noleggaire. Their representative was extremely courteous, efficient and professional. No hard sells of additional insurance or any of the other scary stories you hear about car hire. We ended up with a Citroen Picasso C4, which was great because we were a family of five.
I will be absolutely using atlaschoice again in the future.

Received an email in December from Noleggiare to say that they hadn't been paid by atlaschoice and that they had taken the payment from my credit card. Luckily I as able to get the original payment back, but there was about £40 difference in the two prices because of changes in the euro exchange rate.
I won't be using atlaschoice again in the future.

I paid £40+ for a 4 day car hire, staff were friendly at the airport however upon getting home I had a further invoice for an additional £50 (!!) for fuel, some taxes, some daily charges which were mentioned at no point during the collection or hand back of the car. Photos of the fuel levels upon collection and drop off have been provided to Atlas however I have still been charged this refuelling charge - really awful service and will not be using again.

this is the 3rd time i have booked through Atlas Choice. they are very easy to book through. the service was easy bothe here in the UK aswell as in the resort. no problems at all. i am very satisfied. thanks.

Great value and service

It is always a guarantee rent through you, efficient services, consistent with the description, always ready to solve any problem (if there ever were).
simply the number one.

I used this car hire company for a week hire in Faro, Portugal. They added charges onto my card insisting that this was just a deposit hold. On my return I found that the second charge was not re-fundable. I went through the complaints procedure. They are very slow to respond. No refund given. The quoted price is not the final price here and they are very dishonest. Please do not use if you don't want to be cheated!

I initially ordered a Seat Alhambra for a party of 4 golfers needing a large boot for 4 sets of clubs + luggage to & from airport.
Before we went it was changed to a Ford S Max which was fine, however, we were met with a Ford C Max, which was not fine.

A C max is based on a Ford Focus & the S Max is based on a Mondeo. The C Max was not what we ordered and unsuited to our requirements.

Neither Atlas Choice nor the local hire company EPI in Estoril are interested in putting right their mistake.

So my advice is to look elsewhere.

I took out a car rental and PLATINUM insurance with Atlas Choice in August for a weeks rental in Sicily. Collected the car drove for 3 hours into central Sicily and broke down. The car would not start and the diagnostics determined a dead battery. Called Atlas Choice who after an hour had arranged a garage to pick up car and solve problem. Garage towed to garage location and called to confirm replacement. Then it all went haywire, we were told the car had to go back to Palermo (3-4 hrs) and a replacement would be sent. The garage said that a battery would cost €70 + fitting, but NO they wanted the car back. Meanwhile we had cancelled an appointment as we were far too late and realised we could not even reach the hotel at this rate. I was then told that if I bought the battery I could claim back from the insurance. So this I did. Off we went and no problems for the rest of the holiday. Once I returned to UK contacted Atlas Choice to 'at least' get my battery money back let alone all the telephone calls and inconvenience caused, I don't know how may emails I have saying they are attending to it, but NOTHING, now they don't even reply to the email, just a generic 'email received'. This company really is unprofessional, devious and in my view should not trade. You cannot treat customers like this especially when I took out your most expensive (PLATINIUM) insurance plan, this insurance means NOTHING, so my advice to others is stay well away.

Picking up the car took nearly an hour which is ridiculous, even at a busy time. The girl at the desk wasn't either very pleasant nor efficient. However all changes and interaction I had with Atlaschoice were fine and the car was perfect for what I needed and the price good
