Poor workmanship wheel bolts and hub damage
The Cirencester branch had my car in to change my tyres and unfortunately the technician damaged one of my wheel bolts and the thread in the wheel hub . And just handed me the bolt with stripped threads denying responsibility for the damage. I subsequently took the car home and I was able to repair the bolt and hub with a thread file and a tap for the hub this was a repair that should be able to be carried out by any fully qualified technician. So they let me drive home on 3 bolts and didn’t offer me a repair solution or recovery option so I have asked for them to pay for the two hours labour it took me to repair the damage and they are refusing. I worked for a well known breakdown company for 25 years and one thing they always did was own up to damages and pay for it . I am now considering legal action it’s very disappointing. Terry.
