Given false information costing additional £40!
After failing my MOT i arranged for new tyres to be fit. I called Runcorn branch ATS and was told that it would be sorted if i booked in for next Saturday free of charge. I re-emphasised that the tyres getting fitted and MOT retest would be in time and was told quite flippantly “yeah, just bring it down and we’ll sort it”.
I was massively disappointed then when I received a phone call on Saturday telling me it had timed out and a full new MOT test would have to be done, costing me another £40. Shocking service from people you rely on to tell you the truth, or at least say they’re not sure and to check.
To be told whilst i was paying, that its not ats’s responsibility to check when it runs out is irrelevant… it is there responsibility to give out accurate information and not false. I would of brought the car down earlier if i had been told that Saturday was too late!
