Undisclosed MoT failure
Looked at low mileage VW Golf. It looked good, although I queried why it was showing it needed a service. I was told it probably hadn't been reset after last service. Had been serviced at 9k, 13k, 15k and 17k and current mileage was 19000. All very good.
What I wasn't told was that it had failed its MoT on 02/06/2023 and it had no MoT, which I discovered when I checked online.

AVOID AUTOPARK Meadowfield LIKE THE PLAGUE! Car wouldn't start, no oil in engine. Very unprofessional service. - March 2024.
I went to see a car in February 2024 and had a test drive. Car started normally, no warning lights, car seemed fine. I'm not a car expert at all so decided to try to get a professional inspection.
I phoned a few weeks later and asked a member of the sales team if I could arrange for a vehicle inspeciton by a well-known third party. Sales person said yes, that was fine.
DO NOT BUY the 2016 sky blue Citroen C4 Grand Picasso license plate KW** ***.
Their Sales Manager was present when the inspector arrived at AutoPark, and the Sales Manager said he could not remember that the inspector would be insepcting the car today despite the inspection company calling on the previous working say (Friday) to confirm the inspection on Monday. Autopark had positioned the vehicle at the very rear of all the parked cars. The inspector asked for the cars to be moved out of the way to carry out the inspection and take the car on a test drive, at no point was this done. It did not matter anyway as the car WOULD NOT START as there was NO OIL in the engine, and the car had two obvious serious oil leaks. No oil present on the dipstick. The inspector asked Sales Manager about this and his reply was that they had not prepared the vehicle for inspection. The inspector was not able to do the test drive or start the engine and the inspection was not fully completed.
The car has FIVE other red flags against buying this vehicle.

The service when we viewed the car was great, there were 1 or 2 minor jobs that were completed before we collected our new car. They kept us up to date all the way, and we are super chuffed with our new car and the excellent service we received!

Update: Dealership is now threatening me with a defamation lawsuit becuase of this negative review and is no longer willing to repair or refund the car, despite their obligation to do so under the consumer rights act 2015. I think that says all you need to know about this place, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!
Avoid this place like the plague. If the car you purchase develops an issue on day 1 they are hopeless to help.
The complaint process is useless and just leads to a manager belittling you about how hard they're trying to help, but offers no real assistance.
It's now nearly 2 months since I purchased a car at a cost in excess of 10k and it's still not fixed..
