Helpful customer service, but unhelpful systems

The customer service advisor was very easy to talk to, and very helpful, offering alternatives when multi trip cover wasn't possible for my wife. I am a bit perplexed that every insurance company seems to use the same online system to gather data from prospective customers but there is no way to store and transfer data. It needs to be entered afresh every time. Eventually I was able to secure a single trip policy at an acceptable price, but without my wife's existing conditions being covered.
