Happy bus driver!

I got the 08.30 bus from Estepona to Malaga airport this morning. Two ladies got on the wrong bus by accident. The bus driver was so professional. He was polite at all times with a big friendly smile on his face at all times! It was a pleasure to see a driver who clearly loves his job!

I must warn you about the l(ack) safety…

I must warn you about the l(ack) safety of your belongings when you use services of this company. Avanza does not care, nor control what happens to your luggage which is placed in hold of the bus. On the way from Algeciras to Malaga somebody took my bag from the hold and it has been over 2 months since that incident and Avanza failed to recover my bag and Avanza has not given any compensation for this. Be careful about Avanza and their horrible customer service!

Debo advertirle sobre la falta de seguridad de sus pertenencias cuando utiliza los servicios de esta empresa. Avanza no se preocupa ni controla lo que ocurre con el equipaje que se coloca en la bodega del autobús. En el camino de Algeciras a Málaga alguien tomó mi bolso de la bodega y han pasado más de 2 meses desde ese incidente y Avanza no pudo recuperar mi bolso y Avanza no me ha dado ninguna compensación por esto. ¡Ten cuidado con Avanza y su horrible servicio al cliente!

What went wrong this time !!should be what happens every day !!!…

What went wrong this time do you mean what goes wrong everytime!!! I get the 79 bus from San Pedro to La Canada and then from La Canada to San Pedro every day except Sunday fir 4 years now and I would like to say it has improved but it has actually gotten worse today as an example of most days bus late waited waited at La Canada for the 79 bus time 10.51 didn’t turn up until 11.15 the bus driver was too busy talking to her colleague to actually take any notice if her passengers had to keep being reminded to open the door and even drove past stops that had been requested she was rude to passengers when they complained and si was her colleague when you are paying for a service you should be able to feel safe and secure and know that you will reach your destination without stress of not being able to reach your required destination and not the destination the driver actually eventually lets you off I had an extra 20 minute walk in heat with asthma to get back to where I wanted to go …..I would not complain but it seems to be happening more and more. I am not sure that Avanza have the policy of the customer is always right it seems more like get on at own risk an if you are able to get off at your destination well done you actually survived an avanza bus journey. I now dread my daily bus trips and would now always recommend not to take a bus get a taxi instead !!!!!

Very bad service

Very bad service. Busses are never on time as scheduled, busses are fully packed as they don’t facilitate more trips especially in the high season. Malaga area (Fuengirola ,Marbella, Puerto Banus, San Pedro Estepona)
Happens to wait 1 hr or more for a buss like no matter the buss line. Buss drivers rude, and lazy. Buss transportation in Marbella area and surroundings is the worst and you have to deal with it if no other way of transportation. Is a shame, when you need to go work daily and have this difficulty of transportation.

Avanza Malaga Marbella

If it wasn’t because the bus was 15 minutes late to arrive, I would have given this company five stars.
We booked a bus to go to Marbella and we were a little bit worried due to the bad reviews on this site , but we were pleasantly surprised. Staff at the station and driver were polite and efficient. The bus was very comfortable too.

M220 bus Fuengirola…

I use the M220 bus between Fuengirola and Marbella. The Avanza app is the worst. It hardly ever works, in the rare event it does, a bus showing to be a few minutes from you can suddenly “vanish”. If you’ve been waiting for this “ghost” bus you’ve wasted your time. Asking a piece of seaweed “when is the next bus due?” Would be more reliable.if you have an important journey never rely on Avanza, and if the app should ever work, don’t beleive what it says.

Website to book tickets unusable

I'm trying to buy bus tickets, for 2 hours now. The website keeps throwing various errors. Eventually, every attempt ends with general error "Ha ocurrido un error. Por favor, inténtelo de nuevo ".

Horrible

Lady can perfectly sell you ticket for the bus you don’t want and when you came back complain she screams at you and don’t give you refund. I had to buy another ticket. NEVER AGAIN

Do Not Try to Travel with a Small Pet in a Carrier!

This review would have been different if I had only ridden on Avanza bus once. The first time I took it, I asked the ticket seller in advance if I could take my small dog onboard with me. She said yes, as long as he is in a pet carrier. I bought a ticket and had no problems on the day of my trip from Estepona to Malaga airport. Since I had a good experience, I decided to take Avanza again from Malaga to Estepona. I specifically chose them because I could take my dog with me on the bus in his carrier. I purchased a ticket and told the ticket seller in Malaga that I was bringing my dog. She gave me the ticket with no further information. I assumed everything would be just as the first ride. When I showed up on the date of my trip with my dog in a carrier, the driver would not let me bring him on board. He told me it was against the rules and that the dog had to ride in the baggage compartment. It was 27C outside and the baggage compartment is not temperature controlled. My dog weighs 6 kg and is very well-behaved and had no trouble on the previous bus ride. Putting him in with the baggage could kill him, either from the heat, or if any of the heavy suitcases toppled over onto his soft carrier. The driver also said that I needed to fill out a special form for the dog that I had to get from the ticket agent inside the station and could not board the bus unless I had this form. This was 2 minutes before boarding. I did not fill out any form the previous time and it was not mentioned when I purchased the second ticket.
I will never take an Avanza bus again, with or without my dog.

Rubbish

Rubbish. Installed app, paid for two C1 tickets which never arrived( credit card charged). Ring this number it says, yea, right, I'm going to send time and (more) money on £3 lost. Email us it said, yea, I want to travel NOW. You can use credit card directly on C1 but you have no way of proving it's been paid unless your card app shows it up immediately so you can find yourself on the train with NO proof you've actually paid

Really bad organization

Really bad organization, I order tickets online from La Linea to Malaga and bus didn't arrive, the driver of next bus which arrived didn't want to agree with my existing tickets so I had buy another ones. Furthermore it's really difficult to get a refund from insurance company where I had these tickets insured. Fully not recommended!

Disappointing

There was a system error that accidentally charged me twice. I told my bank about this and the bank refunded me. Then 2 months later I get a letter in the post saying that this transaction was valid and the bank will be taking the money out of my account. I’ve emailed Avanzabus to tell them that this shouldn’t be happening and I’ve been ignored. It’s a shame because the coach journey was really affordable and me and my friends enjoyed this.

Although the laws in the Spain have changed, they still require a face mask to travel. No masks are offered for sale by the vendor or by the bus office and the driver refuses to wait till you go purchase one from 5 minutes away.

The locals here put the seat back very…

The locals here put the seat back very brisk. There is no seating space at all left. Watch out not to get injured because these seats crush. There is no space to put your legs and no seat. Foreigners are bot very welcome here. The people of color here are evwn worse off. As a tourist you are litterally trapped here. The other people on the bus will always site with the Spanish. Best not to visit Spain at all. You can buy a seat but you can not use it.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AVANZA

We decided to take a bus to go to Segovia for a day. The trip going there was good. We boarded in Moncloa and we’re there 20 minutes before boarding. The driver scanned our ticket QR codes and we boarded. On the way back was a DIFFERENT story, we again got to the Segovia station 20 minutes before leaving. We were expected to leave at 8:15. We showed up at our bus but the driver wouldn’t let us in saying we had the wrong ticket and that we were too early. After looking at the time and noticing that it was already 8:16. I went to the ticket counter and the lady told me that the bus had already left! I explained to her that the bus driver didn’t let us in the bus. They probably OVERBOOKED THE BUS to maximise their profits. Instead of compensating us or at least reimbursing our ticket for their inefficiencies she DIDNT DO ANYTHING and just put her hands up and said”I CANT DO ANYTHING and telling us to book a hotel for a night because there weren’t anymore seats for the next bus out!” WORST service INEFFICIENT employees. The worst company!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN. Do not book with this company.

Bus driver wouldnt let me off bus, closed the door nearly on me!!! I felt scared and worried i am an anxious person this not help. The bus service is awful they only stop some stops but they pick people up but he wouldnt allow me off im pretty sure thats illegal!!
