AVEDA IS A SCAM

Before I went to this school, there were multiple people telling me to not go to this school. They told me the teachers are not helpful and they are racist. I didn’t agree with them because the teachers were so sweet to me at the tour.. one month in, the teachers pulled me to the side and told me that they are dropping me because I don’t speak perfect English, and they believe I am not a good fit for their classes. During the tour, I asked them so many times if they think my English is good enough to be in their classes since I did not go to school here or grow up here! They told me oh don’t worry!!! Your English is great!!! They took my confidence away. They took away my dreams. I do not recommend this school to anyone. I should have listened to the people that warned me! They want me to pay 7k for them dropping me because my English was not good enough for them.

I've been using Aveda over 15 years…

I've been using Aveda over 15 years managed to earn 200 hu dred thousands points to take the trip
I go to redeem them today and was told they expired. I can only get them back if I make a purchase
Which I would but I'm so pissed off . And they call it Lolaty reward. I call that crap keep your points I earned them by spending thousands. Time to shop elsewhere.

Awful first visit as I was told my…

Awful first visit as I was told my appointment was on Wednesday and not today (Monday 14th August). I confirmed date and time upon phone booking yet they got it wrong. Can’t book again incase same issue occurs again. Just disappointed.

Very unreliable shipping

Very unreliable shipping. They take the money but it takes over 7 days to get your products...if you get them. Shipping UPS should never take this long. The postal service is faster. Definitely will stop purchasing online. Horrible customer focus and order staus information on the website is highly suspect. Beware of ordering online!!!

Had an amazing experience with Desiree…

Had an amazing experience with Desiree and Benjamin at Easton Aveda this Sunday.
Aveda prices increase constantly but their well educated staff it’s what makes me go back to the store. I learned so much from Desiree and Benjamin this time. They’re both very friendly and genuine people. Just educating me on my skin care and not pushy at all about purchasing their products.

I love Aveda, BUT way too expensive

I love Aveda, but their prices are too expensive for the small amount of product. WHY can't we get bigger containers???.. The containers do not increase in size and in fact, have decreased, yet the prices continuously increase. Awards and free samples do not compensate for the massive amount being charged. Aveda is a multi-million dollar company, so when will they stop being greedy and become more customer enlightened? Why can't they make 12 or 16-oz containers? They're charging $40 for 4 oz...WTH!! It's called gouging, just in case you didn't know the terminology. Shame on you Aveda for using lame excuses for your high prices.

Great customer service

Had nothing but great experience with Aveda on my most recent order. Usually go by a local Aveda salon to pick up products but have been busy lately and decided to make an online order. Got a notification from UPS that my order was damaged and wouldn’t be delivered. Contacted Aveda as soon as I got this news and the customer service rep was very kind and sent out a replacement order immediately, and upgraded to overnight shipping. Fast forward to today and I got the replacement order and ended up getting the original package after all from UPS after I guess repackaging into a new box. Contacted Aveda and they told me to keep both and not to worry about it. Long story short, great customer service and helpful, even when they didn’t have to be.

I just went to the Aveda in Davie

I just went to the Aveda in Davie, FL for an updo for prom. The first hairstylist didn’t know how to do her job, burned my ear while curling my hair and had to redo the og bun she did. Then her instructor was rude causs I needed to get going since they took longer then they should’ve. All of this for my hair to look whatever with a bump left in my hair. Fine for haircuts but don’t come for actually getting your hair done

I logged on to look at rebooking the…

I logged on to look at rebooking the 50k rewards trip to Antigua. I have saved points all my adulthood as a faithful Aveda user and the trip was booked in the pandemic and had to be cancelled. Apparently my account has expired without any notification. If my reward points have been wiped as described by others Aveda will have lost in me a huge advocate and buyer

I just left the Aveda experience store…

I just left the Aveda experience store in Frisco, TX. They have advertising and marketing materials that show people of color, but when you go into the store and the associate insults your 4A hair because it’s doing what curly hair does - y’all can keep all that weird smelling garbage. I will go to the neighborhood beauty supply store and fish around for something similar, where I’m not insulted. Aveda can go to hell.

Aveda lost a long time customer today…

Aveda lost a long time customer today because they wiped out my reward points without notice. I receive multiple emails from Aveda rewards to buy items; however, nothing that my rewards are expiring. I was saving up for the big trip to London. Wow! So disappointed. I called customer service. Nothing. Not one more product will I purchase of Aveda. Sad:(

I have been using Aveda products since 1996

I have been using Aveda products since 1995. I have accumulated 53, 221 Aveda points to which I was saving for the trip. Since they don't off anything worth the money I've spent on products I decided to wait and see. I learned today that after one year of inactivity I lost them all. I didn't receive any notice. I'm so disappointed in Aveda, and the company they've become.

Never again!

Ordered once from Aveda.com, and will never make that mistake again. I purchased and returned two products. Aveda sent an email saying that they had refunded me, and of course they never had. Tried to resolve the problem in chat a few times, and that got me nowhere. I finally put in an online complaint to State Attorney General. So disappointed in this company!

Recently, I starting going to the Denver location of the Aveda Institude Denver. I am disabled and some health related problems they do t seem to understand. It the teachers. They are rude unhelpful unprofessional and very demanding to me and to the students. I have gotten calls to change times and appointments and person doing my hair. They called me at the last minute. Just before I was leaving my home or while I am on my way. So, than I have to change my time, the person etc. I have gotten use to the person etc. Than, I get a person who dint know what they are doing and used up my hair. Last minute changes once I can understand but all the time no. Teachers are rude to me and staff. Which causes stress to the student and me. Parking lot is small and hard to get into. Plus, they don’t accept cash. Only credit card. You only get a discount when you book in advance. If you don’t and change your time or date you lose your discount. This will be the last time. Plus, during Covid sone staff and students did not take Covid serious. Yes, I believe in helping student but not at hurting students or customers. I have heard other customer ps complaint on line too. They ask you to go online to review their services. This should be up to the customer not the teach asking the customer. I will go some where else. Plus, staff including students and staff do a hard sell of their products. It’s the customer that give the students to work on their skills.

I have Been a loyal Aveda customer for 10 Years

I have Been a loyal Aveda customer for last 10 Years. Since due to pandemic i wasn't able to go to a store and purchase any products. One day while visiting the store they stated that points are all gone and need to call customer service and she re-instated the account with points from that day. When i called customer service they cannot do anything and they are saying no rewards account found. Clear gap between store and online / customer service. During pandemic all major companies allowed the points to not expire but Aveda doesn't care about customers, all they care about is money. Yes the product is great but without customer service its not worth going there are always other products with good reviews

AVEDA remove my Reward because of no purchase in the last 12 months!

When I logged into AVEDA, a popup message told me that my reward was gone and forced me to click on a link that disassociates my reward program from my account. So after more than 20 years' worth of points is gone now because I have not purchased anything in the last 12 months.

This is a scam. Also, the quality of the products has gone down over the past few years.

I will not be an AVEDA customer from now on.
