AVS Fencing & Landscaping Supplies - Bishop's Stortford Reviews 

I have ordered from AVS before and had no problems, although this time, there was no stock in for the products I needed. I asked when they would likely be in stock and have not received a reply 10 days later, I did receive a reply to my follow up and they informed me that stock was due in. hoping they arrive next week.

Timber is not cheap but the service and delivery was excellent with progress updates at every stage. The delivery man was polite and more than helpful - have already recommended AVS to other people - just to add the quality of the timber was very good.

It seems I can't give a review without writing something here which is a pain. Service very good. IT for reviewing not very good.

The product quality was excellent and the service spot on. I checked delivery times with them as I had plans to go out and they were happy to get to me earlier which was very helpful and considerate. The guy who delivered was also helpful and friendly too. Would use again and no hesitation in recommending them.

Extremely poor quality Wood and poor quality manufacture. Centre posts were not properly nailed to the fence. Had to repair to make good. Should have had them returned really.

Was kept well informed on delivery, excellent throughout, very happy with the service, would highly recommend.

Quick, easy delivery

We've used AVS before, back when they were called Howe and had reasonably good experiences.

More recently when ordering, nobody answers the phones or responds to voicemails (and that's even when asking a sales question as we wanted to purchase something).

On two separate occasions, we had to purchase through the website and just hope that we were ordering the right product without any assistance as all calls and voicemails went unanswered.

The order process was basically; order through the website, then radio silence and then a delivery email on the morning of delivery when I was already at work. Called and left a message to relay to the driver, or reschedule but heard nothing back.

The driver was very helpful and understanding as he waited for me to drive back from work to help take the product off the truck.

I ordered fence posts and gravel boards on a Sunday evening, they arrived the next morning. Delighted. Thank you.

All suppliers having long lead times for european panels (8 wks). AVS branch out of stock but over phone located another branch with required two panels and they arranged for the two panels to be added to the transport lorry that afternoon for next morning delivery and collection by myself at Bishop Stortford branch. Good teamwork between Aylesbury and Stortford and only for a small order. Great quality panels.

I received a prompt delivery of ten concrete gravel boards that had arrived, nearly stacked, by the time I woke up. The timber that I occasionally buy at AVS has always been of high quality and is considerably cheaper than that supplied by DIY stores. Well recommended.

Not very friendly in store and both times that I have used the bishops stortford branch they have had trouble finding my online order, even though I could give them the order number.

Good price, good quality for 2No. Slatted fence panels

The 6 foot gravel boards I ordered were all cut to 5'11" or even less. This has now been rectified and the correct sized boards delivered. Thanks very much.
