Will, Aweber customer support representative is awesome!

My customer support representative from Aweber is awesome. Will guided me to upload a digital offering and supported my process of linking my offering to a payment platform. He helped my business communications look professional.

AWeber is great and keeps improving!

I have been using AWeber for a few years now, and it is remarkable how progressive they are in making continuous, valuable improvements all the time! The AI newsletter assistant is invaluable and helps me easily create and send regular communications to my tribe. Today, I accidentally deleted a subscriber. I couldn't remember all the details of the subscriber to recreate it, and I turned to AWeber support for help. Amber to the rescue! She was kind, helpful, and worked with the tech team to get the subscriber restored. Every one of my tribe is important to me, and I am so grateful to Amber and AWeber for helping me from A-Z.

Worst email marketing software you could use.

My friend warned me with using aweber. He said they removed his account because of someone complaining about receiving an email, when all of his leads were from FB marketing. Deleted his entire list and did not have the courtesy to reply back to him. I tried them anyway as it is a straightforward platform to use.

Worked okay for a few days and then emails stopped sending. I emailed them. no reply. A few days later I told them not to worry, I have moved to Constant Contact. Aweber email me back straight away trying to keep my business. I told them don't bother. Then emailed them 2 days ago about how to downgrade my account so I am not billed as i would like to keep it as a backup. No reply. Just deactivated my account and deleted all the content.

Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. Buggy software. Keep away from this company, They're a total joke, only after your money. After they have your money they dont care. They dont even reply back or try to justify the overwhelming bad reviews on Truestpilot which is telling.

If you’re considering AWeber, stay away.

I signed up for AWeber and paid $250 for their service. I have been email marketing for over 7 years without any issues, using a clean, well-maintained list built over time.

Within less than 24 hours, AWeber suspended and permanently closed my account, falsely claiming I was sending “unsolicited emails” despite my extremely low complaint rate of just 0.01% (1 complaint).

I immediately contacted support, explaining that:
✅ My email list is 100% opt-in, collected over the years.
✅ I have been mailing the same list with another service for years without any compliance issues.
✅ I was not given a warning or chance to address any concerns.

AWeber refused to provide proof of any violation and denied a refund, even though I I never got to use what I paid for. This is a clear case of unfair business practices and theft.

Because of their unfair treatment, I have filed formal complaints with:
🔹 Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
🔹 Better Business Bureau (BBB)

I strongly advise against using AWeber. They can shut down your account without proof, keep your money, and provide no real appeal process.
If you're considering AWeber, stay away! They take your money, close accounts without justification, and refuse refunds.

I will continue to fight for my refund, including taking legal action and reporting them further. If you’re considering AWeber, stay away – they are an unreliable and untrustworthy service provider.

SCAM!!

SCAM!!! I have been with Aweber for more than 10 years, and since December 2024 they have increased there prices, and suddently in Juanuary 2025, they have deleted all my lists without notice!!!!! And they respond that there is no way to restore it !!!! What is going on here ? This is an absolute scam, thieves, this company is no longer to be trusted, years and years of work just vanished in a matter of seconds!!! Please please don't trust this company, they are not what they used to be, I'v just lost my life's work. Absolutely disgusting. Always remember this : Your data is only your data if you have it in your own server. For your own sake, never use this scam company, and if you are using them, run away. High costs and deleting lists. Should be shut down permanently.

A disaster

Customer support takes ages to reply. Import list does not work properly.
Features are outdated. I can't believe I signed up for this.
Thankfully I just subscribed for 1 month.

I don't suggest Aweber

I don't suggest Aweber, thier behavior to me was unprofessional, they took advantage of me and I felt robbed. They increased enormously ther prices wuthout notice.
I completely lost faith in Aweber pricing policy and ethical behavior .
Thier behavior was unethical.

A Leading and the Best Email Marketing and Autoresponder Since 1998

I have been using AWeber since 2001, and in my experience, they are the best and most trusted autoresponder and mailing list management system available. Their platform is highly advanced, incredibly well-developed, yet remains user-friendly even for those who take the time to learn and use it properly.

Many of the negative and one-star reviews come from individuals who simply do not know how to use a sophisticated and powerful system like AWeber. Instead of unfairly blaming the platform, I encourage those users to first improve their computer and internet skills before criticizing a service that has been a leader in the industry for decades. AWeber provides top-notch tools and services for serious marketers, and I will happily continue using and paying for their service as long as I work online.

Another important point that must be addressed is how misleading online reviews can be. Negative reviews often come from frustrated individuals who have failed due to their own mistakes, and they vent their frustrations by leaving poor ratings. Unfortunately, most of those who are satisfied and successfully using AWeber rarely take the time to leave positive feedback. This is a challenge I have personally faced in my own online business as well—those who are happy rarely support with reviews, while those who are dissatisfied are often the most vocal, sometimes even posting multiple negative reviews under different accounts.

For over two decades, AWeber has consistently provided excellent service, and I stand by them 100%. Long live AWeber!

I have asked a simple task, but got scammed

I have asked a simple task. Delete subscribers. Which they only let you do unsubscribe 100 at a time, then do another step to delete. Then they question, why I want to delete subs? I write 4 emails, and they say they can't. In the end, they didnt do what I asked, and as a result, my account got pushed to a higher bill. COMPLETE SCAM!

So hurt by aweber. Unsafe to use credit card. Class Action Coming

So hurt and disappointed with aweber now. Unsafe to put you credit card with them because they just make up invoices with increase cost. it's sad because I have used them for over 2 decades. It started when business slowed for me I inquired why am I paying for unsubscribes. My bills were $1200 a month. After inquiring they said "oh we don't charge for them anymore but only stopped when I asked about it. (class action suit coming) I paid for years.

Then now they are charging for sends. They also upcharge you when your list grows but don't downgrade you when you have less subscribers.

Here is the kicker, I was only aloud to manually delete subscribers 100 at a time which took me hours. And not they made it so I can only delete 20 at a time now. (class action)

Extremely unprofessional and unfair…

Extremely unprofessional and unfair treatment! I paid for a monthly subscription, started e-mail campaigns and in the course of them I suddenly received an e-mail that my business account was closed, with no right to object and the inability to log in and download the information you have achieved in the course of the campaign. In an attempt to contact their live chat staff I was blocked directly! I highly do NOT recommend the platform - your service is ridiculous, extremely unprofessional and in breach of data protection! Scammers

What a Fraud

What a Fraud, I tried to sign up for the $39.99 monthly payment instead of the yearly full payment. they automatically charged my account over $200.00
This is Pure Fraud. I am now going to immediately cancel this form these disgusting Lieing cheating Peaces of deceptive crap

One of the worst email marketing…

One of the worst email marketing platforms. In my experience: They have yet to fix any of the bugs I've reported. They make no attempt to fix the usability issues. They take no responsibility for site downtime. They have no media modification capabilities - not even crop. And their customer service agents are absolutely no help, if they respond at all. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for.

They banned my inactive account

They banned my inactive account. I stopped using the service a couple of months ago and even asked, as I was ending my subscription if I could come back to it at a later time. They said that I could and all was good. Today I tried logging in just to see that my account has been closed. No warnings, no email to let me know, nothing. I'd understand if I did something wrong while using the account but this was pretty much a quiet closure behind my back.
