"Friendly" af conductor

Ich weiß nicht was haben die Menschen in Belgien aber so unfassbar unfreundliche Menschen in Deutschland auch hab nie getroffen.

In germany we can buy the ticket on the train. We was already late and the "friendly" conductor taked so much money from us I just can't believe it. If you see someone is a tourist why the hell you can't explain here is not like in Germany and finish next time I know and do better... No they want always money I hate it, Hope now is better for him he stole so much money for 8 minutes wth. It was really bad. 👎 If someone ask how was my holiday in Belgium my answer will be terrible. Do you really want that people talk like that about your country? Do something.

The worst train company …

The worst train company …
No strikes, no special weather conditions, jus a normal regular day, and the train going from Brussels midi to Zottegem, the train kept being delayed and changing tracks.
Not the first time, but this is the worst organisation ever !

Not Received any tickets

On New Years 2023 I bought 2 tickets from Paris to Brussels. I paid for the tickets and $121.00 NZ was taken out of my account which included your $4.00 booking fee. A few minutes later I received an email to say I could print tickets on the button below or copy and paste Url to see tickets. There was no button or Url to copy and paste on the email.
As I had set up a login to view and keep my tickets I checked to see if they were there under MY TICKETS on their site. When I logged in the Reference No. they gave me did not work.
Today I received an email to say they had processed my request for the refund of $4.00.
Not only did I not request a refund, I have no tickets. On the refund they have used the reference that I can't login with and why are they only refunding my $4.00. Not happy has anyone else experienced this problem. As I live in New Zealand there is no email address to contact them and I do not want to ring a Belgium phone number as the cost will be huge.

Great Customer Service!

We are grateful to have the customer service officer (Jarno at SNCB Brugge Station) serving us patiently explaining to us the ticket options, the schedule for our train to London and advising us to reach at least 30 minutes earlier for checkpoint clearance. Great job!

Customer service URL not working

Customer service page not working, impossible to send the form (already tested with Chrome, Safari and Firefox).
Impossible to pay with Visa or Mastercard (Worldline payment can't show the iframe with Visa Secure payment) and they show a popup with a phone number to call when nobody works at this hour (please at least put in the popup the working hours, to avoid clients to pay for a useless call).
I have screenshots and console errors to share, but it is impossible to send it through the page:
b-europe dot com/EN/Contact/Client-Service
"Technical error
Unfortunately, an error has occured (Errorcode: b.e.)."

*2 years after review:
They improved the payment system and looks like now works better with other browsers. Still not sure 100% because now depends on the language (in French works but in english doesn't). So, I need to keep testing to be sure of the improvement.

Unreliable app

I thought the SNCB had finally set foot in the 21st century with their app that informs you of the delays in real time, but their incompetence ruins it. If your train is put as being a few minutes late, don't think you can necessary slow down your pace, as they regularly are still displayed on time in the station, and will be gone if you show up at the time indicated by the app. It's so weird and annoying for them to invent delays that don't exist...

No refund despite strikes

SNCB sold me tickets from London to Luxembourg, via Brussels. Belgian railways went on strike, at short notice, making the entire journey impossible. I had to rebook through another provider, via Paris, at great expense (twice the original ticket).

Because only their Belgian train was cancelled (Brussels to Luxembourg) they will only refund me this part of the journey, and not the much more expensive Eurostar ticket which they sold me. It has taken them 6 months (!!) to offer this pitiful refund.

Overall I have spent 3x the original amount to reach my destination, and SNCB international will not even refund the first part of this.

They claim they are not responsible because they merely redistribute the Eurostar tickets. This is not obvious during booking. How can you sell me a ticket for a journey and then not take responsibility when the journey is not possible?

Outrageous and shady business. There are much better international train booking sites which I will use from now on.

Refund due to strike on 15.03.2023

How can we get our refund of a train which has been cancelled due to strikes? The notification of cancellation of the train has been sent 4 days !!! before trip had to take place and the T&C say : no refund if cancellation is 7 days before departure!!!
When cancelling online, there is no refund!!!
Why refusing the refund?

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Katja.

We're sorry that Thalys was forced to cancel your train. Of course, if your train was cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund of your tickets.

When cancelling your ticket online, our system will automatically apply the usual refund conditions of your tickets. This is why the email sent by Thalys suggested to cancel your tickets by phone.

If you already cancelled your ticket online (following the usual fare conditions), you can still apply for a full refund using the contact form on www.b-europe.com/EN/Contact/Client-Service.

Fee for changing Eurostar reservation and…

I’ve booked a Eurostar reservation and now there is a Uk strike on that day and general advice is to avoid travel - will I even get to St Pancras?? So, I thought, no problem, I’ll take advantage of free flexibility to change widely advertised on Eurostar and explore changing my ticket. Now I’ve learned sncb don’t respect this - they charge 20euros to change each 30euro reservation. So I am stuck. I tried messaging sncb and reply was that I have to call a premium rate no. In Brussels!! Due to lack of practical international service support and unfair fee I would avoid them in future. Book direct with Eurostar to avoid this.

I would give it a zero!!!

I would give it a zero but apparently I can't...I'm talking now about their site, not about their app which I didn't install. I simply cannot select the departure point I need!!!! Bonn-Cologne airport! It DOES appear in the list, but when I click on it, it just dissapears!!!! What the hell!!! The situation lasts already for months and they don't do anything about it!!!! So guys!!! Helloooo!!! Check up your site as well...now and then maybe????

Misleading Price Display

The seat reservation price was displayed as 30€ at the beginning of the booking process. The only delivery method for the ticket I could choose was e-ticket, which comes at an additional compulsory fee of 4€. Therefore, the ticket price displayed was not the final price, which is not in line with consumer protection regulation in the EU.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Kilian.

Unlike most other retailers of international rail products, we do offer the possibility to book high speed train tickets at the special Interrail/Eurail pass fare online.

As a matter of fact, the sales commissions we earn on these special-fare bookings do not cover the development and system costs that go along with them. This is why most companies have decided not to sell them online at all, and why we are forced to charge a fee of €4 on these specific bookings.

Charging a fee may be unpopular but is common practice in various domains (and perfectly legal as long as the fee is displayed before the payment in a transparent way).

We are pleased to have facilitated the booking of your trip across Europe and will be pleased to provide any further information about international rail travel.

Have a pleasant journey!
