Great Company, simple experience!
So I got told about this company by a colleague, but I can't remember who so I didn't get their referral code (my own fault, but also shows how good this place is). This company is amazing from my experience so far. They offer an amazing level of cover for a simple monthly price, allowing bolt-ons and everything. They have a community where you can see other people's experiences and questions, which actually educates you about things for the future. There's no direct phone number, but in my experience this isn't needed nowadays. I just need answers to questions, and the community definately delivers on this so it's all good! This also means they can invest more money into service which is evidently clear! My only bit of feedback is that there's no app. Although the website works great on my phone it would be better with an app I feel personally (I'm lazy!). I've not had to make a claim yet (touch wood) and joined a couple of weeks ago so this is my experience so far :)

Super easy to set up
Super easy to set up. Disappointed there is no app however. Signed up using a referral code, received an email saying I am due a reward, still not showing up on my account. Really like the interface!

Easy and straight forward!
So far I haven’t had to make a claim yet, but setting it up was sooo easy and straight forward that it already deserves loads of stars, however, they no longer have an App, which nowadays makes life so much easier, and this is the only reason I’m not rating 5 starts at this point...

Claim processed in <6 hours!
Been a client for over a year, but only submitted my first claim this week. After a fall in the snow that resulted in a smashed phone, I was able to speak to a member of the claims team, have my claim processed, have the money paid out to me and get my phone repaired in less than 6 hours! Incredible service from Sophie and would highly recommend Back Me Up to everyone!

Average and Flawed!
The price for insurance is certainly reasonable and the monthly by monthly subscription idea is original. I can imagine for one who likes that extra cover it is very handy, however, I personally took out the flexi insurance for its unlimited worldwide cover.
I don’t see the point of taking Insurance for gadgets/stuff whilst in the uk as most home Insurance’s cover content in a very thorough way, with this in mind, when I checked the policy small print after purchasing the cover I noticed that checked baggage wasn’t insured. Since flying is usually the most vulnerable time for one’s belongs I was thoroughly disappointed to find out that they will not cover belongings during that time. This for me effectively made the Insurance pointless as the major reason for the cover was to protect my guitar and computer during travels.
My other nag about this insurance is there doesn’t seem to be an easily accessible call centre which is a nightmare when wanting to enquire over matters of Insurance.
So in conclusion I won’t recommend this company unless you are looking for a localised Insurance that covers the day to day life of your belongings. For any other purpose this Insurance misses the mark for me!

A decent insurer that actually delivers.
I have always had a pleasant experience will call centre staff and the way you can switch items of cover on and off is very helpful.
The website is easy to use and the prices are reasonable for the level of cover.

Signing up was easy I researched …
Signing up was easy I researched different insurance companies after getting my iPhone X and back me up had the best reviews. Also they do not send out refurbished phones as replacements and if claim is approved they give you the cash minus your excess. I cannot give 5 stars as I haven’t made a claim or anything ( and hopefully will never have to)

Who knew it could be so easy?
Phone insurance is a bit of a necessity now they're getting so expensive to repair, but I've been bitten before and steered clear until my recent upgrade. I'm a fitness instructor and use my phone to store all my music and choreography notes, and would really struggle without it.
When I dropped my S8+ I figured I'd have to send it off and be without it for days, so I was really pleased when BackMeUp told me I could just get it fixed and then send them the bill. They recommended the Samsung store, which Impressed me as I had expected to be sent to a budget repair firm. The Samsung store replaced my front glass within 2 hours and in less then 2 days I'd been repaid by BackMeUp.
Great service, no hassle, great staff.

Brilliant!!
I joined back me up some months ago and have had to claim for damage on my Apple Mac. It has been the quickest and most helpful insurance I’ve been with. within 2 days of the start of the claim the sent the money for repair.
I highly recommend this insurance company I will be advising anyone I no who wants gadget insurance about this company!

Simple, Clear and Value for Money
Found the sign up process very simple and clear and liked the fact that there was a person to speak to at the other end to answer any questions before I signed up. The rest of the process was a doddle and the apps are fantastic. I was a Trōv customer but have switched to back me up as it’s better value for money and there’s a person at the other end of the phone when you need them

Awesome Company and brilliant staff
Can I just start by saying this company is awesome. While I have some gripes towards how slow the initial process is, they were kind enough to keep me updated through email and the online portal about the progress of my claim. I had two products on cover but forgot to upload the pictures for one of the items. Needless to say they declined the claims for the item without the pictures(which is my fault) but other than that they have been very professional and personable throughout the process. I see a lot of negative reviews on the webiste. This is primarily because people cant understand how to use the portral properly. Needless to say it worked like a charm for me. Many many thanks. They approved my claim within hours of getting a quotation from me and the money was in my account with in 5 business days. Just like that. Thank God for insurance and Backmeup.

NO CONTACT NUMBER for help or support
On the outset it looks like a great service with an easy to use website..
However it keeps declining my payment - I've tried multiple cards, checked with my bank (no problem there).. still nothing.
Had a referral code which said 'applied' but gave no discount.
Trying to get help on the website puts you in a loop that keeps going back to the 'Community' which seems to be essentially a forum.
No contact number or email to be found.. this leaves me with a bad taste.

If you don't want to waste your time, then use this company!! So far this is the only insurance company who's doing what they are saying.
I rang them up on 04/07/17.as my phone damaged. On 06/07/17 I received my brand new phone even with bigger storage!! A really BIG thanks for this! Also thank you for the replacement service working on behalf of them.

Easy sign up. Good app
Sign up process was super-straightforward. Love how seamless the app is. Had photos of my Inspire 1 drone uploaded in no time. Only feedback I would give would be for a message to be displayed saying "we will now review your photos and confirm that your insurance is valid within 24 hours" or something to that effect. Right now, I'm just hoping the photos I uploaded meet all the guidelines. Cannot comment on claim side of things as I have not filed a claim.
