If there was an option for zero stars I would've chosen that. Terrible terrible claim experience with this company. They've replaced my broken phone that was brand new (well, 6 weeks old) and had a 10... See more

so happy I chose to use back me up
so happy I chose to use back me up! I signed up in April and then in June I managed to loose my phone. Back me up were happy to help and had deposited the whole £450 into my account once i had sent over a few things all within the space of a week. I was impressed that they had sent over the money which would be needed to replace my phone from the apple store its self. They could have been stingy and give me just enough for a second-hand phone. anyway, very impressed and so happy to have my new phone all sorted :).

first impressions
setup and was easy and transparent, i decided to cover 2 of my devices for the added discount. uploading images was a breeze to the website only thing stopping this from getting 5 stars is a form of notification to signify your devices are backed up after the inquiry on your account. i have not claimed yes so i can not review that side of the service.

Not good for extended young travellers and hidden away in the t&cs
Seems like the best option for my travel insurance as I was needing more cover for gadgets then anything else and the travel insurance came under the umbrella insurance, however it was very hard to find that the travel insurance only covers for 31 days which isn't what I had needed and only found the small print weeks after purchasing.

Flexible, Easy, Fun!
Back Me Up is really easy to get signed up for, reasonably priced and has an awesome community in the forum! Certainly the most fun I've had when getting insurance! :D
Another benefit is the flexibility of the product- change the item you're covering or add another at any time. I definitely plan to keep this on my phone and will look to add other items as the need arises!

Back me up review
Very quick and easy to get insurance! No hassle at all.
Would recommend
Simple to sign up, good value relative to what it would cost to insure my phone with someone else

Great idea and good value
Really like being able to take pictures of my gadgets and being able to swipe in and out what is insured. Nice to only pay each month as well!
Flexible/convenient insurance
I find Back Me Up quite good overall. You can insure your items quite easily and turn on/off your cover at your convenience.
Also, if you participate in their community you can earn points/cash as with giffgaff. Worth a try if you are interested in a new/convenient/ flexible way of insurance.
Unique product ahead of its time.
An insurance to trust and with all the plusses that you can think of.
It is one of the few (to not say none) that allows to insure for example my laptop that isn't brand new. That was big a problem because no other company would accept my laptop so it was very stressing whenever I was traveling since any problem with it would be a total disaster. Now everything is covered and I can relax.
The community forum is very helpful as one can find all the answers to their questions with nice people who are always very friendly and up for helping. Plus, there are rewards every so often and one can have some cash back to use in anything, even as a little help for the monthly payment.
In addition, there are very positive aspects of the insurance such as repair of the screen of the phone if by accident it breaks etc.
In general BackMeUp is a very complete insurance, easy and one doesn't have to get a mortgage for it!
New to Insurance !
I recently had a device stolen and i realised how important it is to have insurance so i went on Google to research.
I finally settled on BackMeUp but had LOADS and ---LOADS--- of question.
I emailed their support and a lady called Louisa Best, (and she really was the BEST !!!) picked up my emailed and dealt with every single question, one at a time. I was so happy that i was confident to sign up.
I also look forward to their help should i ever be unlucky enough again to have something lost or stolen and i even get cover for any broken screen on my smartphone. So far i can highly recommend these people. They seem honest and willing to help. Also, i was scared that if something bad happens they wont pay out as i have heard terrible stories from other people about other insured companies giving some excuses why the policy wont pay out for this or that reason but i feel BackMeUp is not one of those, shady, insured companies.
Regards,
Newly insured Cathren!
Brilliant Buy!
Brilliant idea! Recommended by a friend, I haven't had to claim yet thankfully but really reassuring knowing my important possessions are covered...it's really cheap too for the amount of cover you get.
Love that I can change the items I insure during the year which will be ideal as festival season approaches...wouldn't be without it now.
Insurance that's really for me
I've been looking for an insurance brand that fits around my life and Back Me Up is it!! Flexible, value for money and I can swap things around whenever I like with no extra charge. Great stuff!
The best insurance policy I've ever …
The best insurance policy I've ever bought!
I claimed for my phone and it was sorted so quickly - they really went the extra mile. (I have been with other providers before and it has taken so long - we're all glued to our phones these days so that wasn't going to cut it for me anymore!)
They just seem to "get it" at Back Me Up it's easy & suits my needs - especially as I'm so busy!
Definitely recommend :)
