I recently ordered a sub adult male pixie frog and could not be happier. The Backwater Team was very professional helpful and informative throughout the process. The team as well went out of the way to take pictures to show me ensuring I was happy with his size. Again I could not be happier and would highly recommend to anyone in the market

I think this is a great company with fabulous customer service. We’ve bought multiple items from them. The last purchase, the shipper made an error that was no fault the backwater and they went out of their way to track down the animal and ensure that we were updated and understood Where it was and the transaction was completed successfully and the animal arrived safe and 100% OK. I can’t stress enough how they went out of their way to communicate and resolve the issue.

I would never buy from these people.. Sent damaged and mistreated animals.

I have had no issues with backwater reptiles. I hear there is a fraudulent company under there name which I have encountered my self. very easy to tell the two apart if you are experienced with buying reptiles offline many people leave bad reviews because of this most likely.
I have had no issues with customer service they have been really nice and understanding with me. It makes sense to not guarantee something there not sure off such as animals gender sometimes it’s pretty confusing especially when you have over 100 animals your selling it’s hard to stay on top of things. I have had only one animal die from them a couple days after I received them and they instantly were ready to make it right. Your not gonna find another seller that gives you a 7 day guarantee on there animals and will refund you your money. It’s really no hassle and seems to be really nice people. I have ordered from them a couple times and again have had no issues from them.

Backwater reptiles is a wonderful company to work with! They provide super customer service and they hold true to their guarantees! I will be doing business with them again soon!

Everything from the website to customer service and shipping was phenomenal. I ordered 2 White's tree frogs (one blue phase and one blue eyes). The website is easy to navigate, and ordering was a breeze. Package showed up and to my surprise they threw in a 3rd green Australian for free! All showed up happy and healthy. The blue phase has quite the personality and was the only one to not immediately hide. Very happy & thank you!!

The staff at Backwater Reptiles were very helpful and friendly, and even answered late night emails. My three mud turtles and two pixie frogs arrived alive and healthy. I will order from them again in the future! Christy Atkinson

I ordered some (8) Geckos from them and per their information they shipped on Monday and were at my door, in South Carolina, on Tuesday. They were well packaged and all were in good health.

This was my second purchase of Southern toads from Backwater, and I was, once again, a happy customer. Communication about shipping was excellent, and my toads arrived healthy and hungry! Weeks later, they're thriving and are providing plenty of scientific information for my children's books. Thank you, Backwater.

Very well communicating helped me through any questions I had in a very timely manner. Animals came very well packaged and even though FedEx was difficult with delivering my dumby frogs arrived healthy! Will definitely be ordering from this place again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for critters of all types! I wish I could give a higher rating than a 5 cause they deserve it!

I took the chance and was extremely happy with what I got. Originally I was just getting 3 lizards. Was told that normally they do not ship to my location but would fill my order. Well I decided that I was gonna make shipping worth it. Ordered another 3. It is very difficult to have things shipped to my location $$$$. They arrived about a week later. Cold on my end. They look great. They Looked to have been well fed and clean. One was not moving but I figured it would perk up once warm. And that one was the first to eat for me. We went back and forth emailing. Very kind and helpful. I had a really great experience

We purchased a Uromastyx lizard from Backwater Reptiles and the experience was above expectations. The baby Uromastyx is healthy and they supported us until the little guy was eating and on his was to feeling comfortable in his new home.

I ordered a female Green Anole and I got a male Green Anole. You can't put two males together because they fight. I brought this to their attention and they said we can't guarantee the sex although we try. Then why give the option to choose between a male and a female? This is a professional breeder/carrier of animals and they can't tell a male from a female? I have been exposed to the Green Anole by accident about four weeks ago ( A wild one took up with my daughter for some reason) and I can tell a male from a female. So why can't they? Especially with having a more experienced eye. This is not acceptable. What am I suppose to do with the male now?

Great communication. They set clear expectations and instructions for ordering and shipping. I ordered three baby White's Tree Frogs on a Saturday night. They emailed to let me know they were preparing the shipment on Sunday and said it would go out Monday. Frogs arrived Tuesday and they were packed in foam and placed in individually labeled containers. There was a nice surprise inside. The frogs started eating Wednesday night. All are acclimated and look healthy. I would definitely buy from them again.

Backwater Reptiles is absolutely the ONLY reptile company I will ever buy from. Their professionalism is profound. Every animal I have purchased from Backwater comes quickly and in perfect health. In no way could I possibly ask for a better way to buy such a great selection of awesome animals. Everything from Goliath Bird-eaters to Nile Monitors, these people know what they are doing. Thank you, Backwater. Your hard, honest, and efficient work really shows. Keep up the amazing work. I refer everyone to Backwater for the healthiest, most magnificent animals. Many companies could certainly learn a thing or two from you!!

This is the first time I ever dealt with backwater reptiles and could not be happier. First of all, I ordered 2 gopher snakes and they were the only ones that had them. They were shipped immediately and arrived safe and sound. They are two beautiful specimens and I would not hesitate to order from them again. Abbey was also super helpful with advice and answering questions.

In my experience, they (backwater reptiles inc) are a great company! We ordered 2 dumpy tree frogs on Monday and they were delivered this morning via fed ex alive and well packaged. They even through in a free dumpy tree frog. They arrived in a small box, well labeled "live animals", "perishable", "this side up", in well packaged containers that were still moist. These were for my son's birthday and he is so excited they have arrived. Emailed that they were delivered and they responded within minutes thanking me for my purchase and instructions on what to feed and care basics for our new pets.

Backwater Reptiles is a fraudulent company. Do not order from them. Support your local breeders that care about the ethical well being of the animal.

Amazing love them wish I could post a picture of my beautiful snake ❤️ she is soo happy and friendly she’s become part of our family. They shipped her fast and do over night she was kept warm with a heating thing. Very chunky girl. I never wanted a snake before and decided suddenly I wanted one and now the entire family adores her. Beware there is a site that’s pretending to be them it’s backwatersandlizards that site is a scam but backwatersreptiles.com is the one you want to go to.

Never buy from this company, have taken our money without sending the lizard we ordered and have now stopped replying
