Packaged with great care!
I have just received my second order from BakeryBits of some Gilchester Organics Rye Flour for home bread baking and was delighted when I opened the box... each pair of flour bags were neatly wrapped together as though it was a gift. Sure it was just brown packaging paper but the bags were perfectly wrapped and stacked in the box. Unwrapping an online order suddenly became a real treat!
No customer service - refuse to take complaints seriously
My first observation is that the company bakerybits does not want people to know who they are on Trustpilot! The company is not called "Patrick"! They obviously hope that nobody will find negative reviews of bakerybits, so use a pseudonym!
I have been using this company for a while. I previously ordered some Italian Einkorn Flour and it was brilliant. Then I ordered some more and it simply did not work. The bread refused to rise. We tried everything: different yeast; altering water amount; different proportions of Einkorn to white bread flour. Nothing worked so we are left with 5 bags we cannot use.
I contacted "customer service" and the reply I got was appalling! They were simply not interested and denied that the current batch they sent us could possibly be any different in quality to the previous batch.
Get your flour somewhere else!
DPD did not attempt delovery
DPD delivered to the post office instead of the address. Did not attempt to show up at all (I have a camera on the porch).
Maybe DPD should refund part of the shipping fee if they don’t actually deliver the package, or the seller should keep them accountable for the service.
Next day delivery, no issues!
Ordered a Challenger Bread Pan (dutch oven) and a proofing basket. They promptly arrived the next day with no issues. Trying it out now, works great other than my technique which needs a little improvement! ;)
I had an issued with my sourdough home
I had an issued with my sourdough home. I sent it back to bakery bits team to be checked. Now I’m waiting for a replacement. Very satisfied with customer service.
Not a reliable seller.
An order was made for flour and three types of yeast. The parcel arrived undamaged and unopened. 1 kg of Bioreal yeast was missing in the parcel. All attempts to communicate with the support service within 3 days led to nothing. I received only formal answers that they did everything right. Please check if they did not have a surplus in the warehouse, they were ignored. It was said that the weight corresponds to the required one, despite the fact that they indicated the weight incorrectly both for the presence of this kilogram in the parcel and for the absence of this kilogram. The fact of losing 9 pounds is not as important as the disrupted event for which the yeast was ordered. Therefore, it is possible, in case the order is important to you, to order from another supplier. At least do a thorough video of unpacking the package (as for AliExpress). I do not recommend using this seller.
Update. You just didn't send 1 kg of yeast, disrupting the planned event. That's why I asked about the exact weight of the package. You took the money, but did not send it. I call it something other than a mistake. Because I sent several letters about it. I am glad that your company has become richer by 9 pounds.

Great company with excellent customer service
Great company, quality products, great packaging, fast delivery. I placed several orders with them and I was very pleased with my purchases. Fantastic range of flours. I’m particularly pleased with my vanilla powder tin. The smell is amazing!
A outstanding company which values its customers
This company has provided excellent service. The kimchi/ferment pot is exquisite! We are so looking forward to using it. Thank you for caring about your customers not just sales as other companies do. We can see customers are part of your wider 'family' and are cared for both before and after sales.
Superb company
Superb company. Ordered yesterday afternoon and parcel was delivered the next day. What more could you ask for.
Zero customer service
A shame I've had to give this review.
Usually have such a good service from them and great range of products, maybe not the best priced but the range they have makes up for it. Unfortunately had an issue with a loaf tin I purchased that had scratches all over after a few uses, even had the non stick coating coming away despite only cleaning with soft cloths.
2 emails sent with zero response in 2 weeks! Customer service is non existent it seems. A shame.
Faultless service on my first order
I ordered 6 bags of Marriages flour, very reasonably priced, great comms, speedy delivery but most impressive of all was the care taken in packaging the flour, beautifully wrapped and sealed in recyclable brown paper inside a sturdy box with plenty of recyclable cardboard packaging. I never imagined it was possible to get excited about unwrapping bread flour! Thank you for caring, Bakery Bits :)
Flour power
Wonderful range of things - trying out the Cotswold Pizza Flour tonight as a head to head comparison with Shipton Mill. Nice company, nice communication and all arrived fast.
Great company
Great company, quality products, great packaging, fast delivery. I placed several orders with them and I was always impressed.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service from Bakery Bits, there was an issue with my pizza oven, I contacted them in the afternoon and they sent out a replacement & arranged the collection by the following morning. A refreshing change to have such excellent, prompt service. I would recommend them & wouldn't hesitate to order again from them.
Bought a Mockmill flour mill last week…
Bought a Mockmill flour mill last week with three free bags of wheat, cheapest in the UK.
The delivery was very fast.
On opening the box one of the bags of wheat went everywhere as one of the bags had burst probably through rough treatment by the carrier company.
I contacted Bakerybits the day after and without any hesitation they sent me another bag.
Excellent service thank you.
Hopeless customer service
Having bought an expensive, for me, item, I wasn’t getting quite the results I was hoping for so emailed them asking for advice. I wasn’t complaining or wanting a refund - I just needed some help. The result, nothing, except an automated reply saying they normally respond in two working days, but after two weeks they are too ignorant to even reply. This has really annoyed me. As has been mentioned before, once they have your money they don’t want to know. I have bought from them before and this is the first time I have asked for help, but I will buy my baking supplies elsewhere in future.
Exceptional Care and communication!
I had questions for a very large and costly oven purchase and my questions were answered very patiently and thoroughly! Am ordering other baking products that I had not been able to find elsewhere. Lovely store and Exceptional Service. Highly recommend!! : ) Thank you.
I had excellent service and a good price from BakeryBits.
I wanted some large baking tins and BakeryBits sell branded tins 20% cheaper than Amazon so I checked them out here on Trust Pilot. Reviews are very mixed but I placed my order online on Monday. I discovered I had missed part of my address off the order - I phoned customer service and a pleasant lady immediately fixed my order. I received update emails from BakeryBits and DPD - the excellent goods were delivered this morning just two days after ordering!
L.I.B. Lost in Brexit
Good and some unique products but isn't delivering to EU anymore because of Brexit. Unfortunately we had to switch (and split) all our orders to several EU suppliers.
Very tasty flours, well packed, fast delivery ...
Was looking for Marriages wholemeal flour that wasn't available from a supermarket, any longer (during the first Covid lockdown).
And along came Bakerybits... online!
Delighted to find this company, their ethics, provenance and variety is great too; selling produce from small holdings, especially good for bread makers.
Mine is for roti's.
Bought Organic wholemeal Enkir flour to try, and some others, (one of the older wheat grains grown on this earth), and it made wonderful, fluffy blueberry muffins. Enkir flour has a sweetness, so the next time round, I added just a pinch of sugar. Delicious!
Many types of flours at really affordable prices, to buy for the heavy duty bakers, who get a great workout. And for delicate brioches too.
Packed and delivered carefully, and within a few days. Very happy :-))
