Don’t fly this airline, is simple as that. Even the most economical airline to travel with is better than this. The flight was delayed and the check in crew was not friendly at all. Have much travel experience from many different airlines and from all the airlines this is definitely the worst experience ever.
WARNING! NO Customer Service & POOR Website Functionalities
I wanted to reschedule a flight I booked. There is no option to do this via their website/App. I wrote to them twice to get instructions how to get this done. No reply from Bangkok Airways since 12 x days. So, if you book with them and you need to reschedule a flight you're screwed.

Great customer service
Had to change flight times a couple of times and customer service was excellent. Quick response and very helpful.
Both flights were on time and despite being just over a hour long, was served dinner. Check in was easy at both airports.
Expensive and disappointing
I recently flew with Bangkok Airways from Siem Reap to Bangkok, and the experience was, frankly, very disappointing — especially considering the airline proudly brands itself as “Asia’s Boutique Airline.”
Our flight departed 50 minutes late from Siem Reap International Airport, with no meaningful communication or service recovery. For a journey that’s only about 1 hour and 20 minutes, delays of that magnitude already take the shine off — but what followed onboard didn’t help their case.
The seat was uncomfortable, the cabin felt worn, the air was stuffy, and the service from staff was noticeably indifferent. In many ways, the experience had all the hallmarks of a typical low-cost carrier:
* Tight seating
* Underwhelming onboard atmosphere
* Poor air quality / temperature control
* Lack of attentiveness from crew
* Operational delay
Except this wasn’t low-cost.
My one-way ticket cost €190— an eye-watering price for such a short regional hop. At that fare level, you expect a tangible step up in comfort and professionalism. Instead, the product felt misaligned with the premium branding the airline leans so heavily on.
All in all, this was a poor value-for-money experience that failed to deliver anything resembling a “boutique” feel. I would avoid Bangkok Airways if at all possible in the future — and would have chosen an alternative this time had circumstances and regional tensions not limited the available options.
Troublesome website - high prices - stagnant quality
I am flying with them for more than 12 years. I used to fly because I enjoyed their service, now I do because I have no alternative to get to Koh Samui. Their website has frequent malfunctions and the user interface is problematic. Sometimes I need to call to book and pay, which is a hassle. Their planes are the same in the last 12 years since I first travelled. The staff are polite and the business lounge modest, but given the extraorbitant fees to fly to Koh Samui, their service has remained stagnant and quality is declining.
Discrimination & Greedy against FAT people
It took us over 4days to organise an extra seat for my tried whom is a large guy and we have never experienced such discrimination and greed on us booking this extra seat! - What i DO not understand why the extra seat would cost double that of what we originally paid the day before! the call center staff, lovely as thai's are but was totally useless!
Amazing customer service
I booked the wrong date to return to Bangkok but turned up at the right time.
I was so distressed when the service desk told me as I had no idea.
My partner and I waited in the standby line for 20 minutes and then got called up.
They were able to put us on the flight! Thank you Bangkok Airways 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Nice and quick response agent
Was the first time I booked with them and it was very smooth and rapid. Then I realised that I booked a flight where I'm not sure to have time to reached on time for the flight I booked today. Aakkaradet Saengnuan helped me to change my flight without any costs and advise that I have more time than not so much to not to miss the next flight

A fantastic, welcoming airline. Staff are friendly and the planes clean. Can’t fault them from start to finish. Flew to Bangkok on Emirates and Bangkok airlines is a better airline than them
No customer service at all
Terrible company with no customer service. Unreachable by email and useless chat support. If you have any issues, they won’t lift a finger. No compensation or assistance was offered following the Thailand-Cambodia conflict over the red zones

Had a great experience fly from bangkok to krabi. The service was great and fash never seen them work so quick. Short hall had full meal and drink which was great. I thought price was good 80 return pp with 25kg bag each
Bangkok Airwars add 44% to the price in hidden fees
Note that Bangkok Airwars add 50% to the price in hidden fees for flights to Koh Samui. The 50% are hidden in small links and never added to the price until invoicing. We just paid 724 USD for two return tickets to Koh Samui, but when we received the invoice, the amount was increased by 45% to 1.049 USD. So they are charging us 327 USD in fees without adding it to the price. So two return tickets to Samui cost more than 1.000 doller for a 1 hour domestic flight

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service we have received regarding our previously booked tickets. We booked our flights well in advance, but since december a red (do not travel) advisory has been issued for our destination. Under this advisory, traveling is not allowed — and if we were to travel, we would not be insured.
Despite these serious circumstances, we have been told that Bangkok Airways is unable to assist us unless we pay additional fees. We find it unreasonable and unfair that we are being asked to bear extra costs for a situation completely beyond our control.
We expected flexibility, understanding, and support — especially given that safety advisories and insurance restrictions make travel impossible. Instead, we have been left with no workable solution other than paying more.
This has been the worst customer service experience we have ever had.
Excellent
Despite the fight we took was just a short 1 hour flight and in economy class, the crew members brought a top quality complex and satiating fish meal to us, it was delicious to eat (so good that even my brother, who doesn't generally like fish, liked this meal a lot) and we felt we were exploring the thai cuisine even before landing to our destination. The plane was an Airbus and was very comfortable both about the materials of the seats and about the legroom which was very large. The crew members were very kind at us and that was the anticipation of the kindness of the people we met after landing to Phuket. Thank you very much for your kindness, guys. The travel was impeccable, all excellent.

It is always a delight to fly with an airline where the cabin crew are constantly smiling and genuinely friendly. We regularly use Bangkok Airways for flights between the islands and Bangkok, and the experience is consistently positive.
The service is excellent, the aircraft are clean and well maintained, and the onboard food is good for short-haul regional flights.
Bangkok Airways continues to set a high standard for regional travel in Thailand and remains one of our preferred airlines in the region.
