Fantastic

Outstanding experience for my daughter and her friend who did the junior zookeeper experience. The zookeeper was fantastic made their experience memorable, fun and exciting. They had the time of their lives. Budding zookeepers of the future. We were also blessed to see the tiger cubs, sloth and leopards. Amazing animals show was also a highlight.

There is a lot of closed areas

There is a lot of closed areas, the areas open have minimal animals to see, they looked sad couped up in the enclosures. Glad we found a discount and saves £44. Expensive, little to see, animals looked sad. Food was way too expensive. £3.75 for a latte!!! We didn't buy any food or drinks due to cost.

Would not recommend a visit

Poor shabby needs renovation and money spending on it

Poor. Shabby. Needs some serious renovations. Lots of exhibits closed, broken or just empty.
They need to invest some of the money and profits if there is any in their zoo maybe instead of sending the money abroad to other countries if they wish to keep their customers coming back. I used to visit here as a child, and now as a 33 year old parent to a 2 year old myself it looks the same and when you walk round the paths are all rough and uneven not great for buggies or wheelchairs only some areas are good and accessible.
Lots of dead end that just have cones and it just looks derelict really disappointing.

Horrendous workplace and manager

Horrendous workplace.
Staff get treated badly and don't
get given breaks or lunch
and if you do speak up for
yourself you will face further repercussions such as
reduced hours or being
underpaid or sometimes just
being sacked.

The Catering Manager doesn't have a single clue what he’s doing and has 0 training
If you bring a problem to them such as when a young girl was feeling uncomfortable in the workplace due to the manager getting too close and touchy they will just push it under the rug with a long list of excuses.

They call themselves a charity but are actually greedy.
A problem that's existed ever since we started was being paid wrong over and over again. If you don't stay on top
of what hours you've done they'll try and catch you out

Their hygiene levels are shocking, i've seen a dropped pizza be picked back up off the floor, rearranged and then served
Workers don't keep their tips.
If you get tipped the manager hides it, we get told that they will gather it all up and give it to a charity of our choice but none of us have ever seen a penny of it.
Overall the manager is a horrible person with no experience of running anything other than a cheap cafe. he had workers working for months over summer in 30 degrees indoors because all the heaters were on full blast he didn’t know how to turn them off and refused to turn on a/c

And anyone that prances around at comic-con in superhero outfits is a bit of a wrongen anyway let’s be honest.

Overall the workers get treated worse than animals do and the management is rubbish.

Search greg and anch on youtube for a good watch of our embarrassment of a manager.

shocking zoo

I worked at Bahnam for 2 years roughly.
The animals are lovely but the people who run the zoo are greedy, nasty people. Hygiene levels are reasonably shocking in the shacks and pizzeria.
They charge family’s £11 for a pizza made from cheap frozen ingredients. Staff don’t get given breaks and lunch. They make staff clean and disinfect the main office without PPE after an outbreak of covid in the office. They make excuses for and play down a manager being too touchy with the girls. Their organisation is shocking and unorganised. The Current Ceo is a nasty piece of work and is driving the zoo into the ground by spending all the money on new uniforms and branding rather than fixing the dirty mess that is the zoo, not that the customer would see how bad it is ofcourse.

The worst zoo you will ever visit.

The worst zoo you will ever visit.
We visited as a family of 4 (2 children under 5) and like most zoo’s they rip you off a small fortune to get in, no big deal it’s expected, and it’s nice to contribute to the animals anyways..
That’s the problem, a zoo is supposed to have animals! 15 out of the 17 cages we visited were empty! We see 2 zebras about 100meters away hiding in the shade and some giraffes chewing a bare log hungry for food! I was so disgusted I wrote a formal letter to complain (which I never do) to be told that’s normal
So I am sorry Banaham but I hope people see this and choose another zoo as yours certainly doesn’t deserve to be open.
