Worst Bank in Oman from experience.

Worst Bank in Oman from experience.
They will not help you at all.
I tried contacting a live agent to help me with something as I am stuck in the UK. I couldn’t receive my OTP. After waiting for more than an hour to find an agent…he asked a stupid question then disappeared. Really disappointed in this bank as it is one of the top banks in Oman. Everything from the app all the way to customer service is bad.
Im changing my bank as soon as i land in Oman.

Outstanding service

Outstanding service, excellent corporate online transaction portal. This allowed me to be anywhere and be able to approve transactions. It’s definitely a leader in customer service.

Very worst staff and very worst…

Very worst staff and very worst services by whole staff not just one . I got my token ticket and i wait for 45 minutes my number didn’t came then i went to washroom suddenly they pass my number i could wait at that time but my token series was not on LED disply when i said my number pass can you just please give me my card because it was my first time in Bank Muscat so i was there to just received my card they said your number is not on this counter please chk another counter they were just shuffling me for more 1 hour i don’t know where they hired this kind of illiterate staff they don’t know how to deal customers even this is was my first time to open account in Bnk Msct but very worst . (. OMAN AVENUES MALL MUSCAT).

Bank Muscat is overrated

Bank Muscat is overrated. I have been using bank Muscat for a while now and the bad customer service experience keeps increasing. Lake of concern, attention and need to assist staffs who visit their branches to seek help is a measure problem and even managers don't care to assist staffs

Lack of Etiquette and Discipline…

I was a previous customer many years ago and it was a good bank, went in today at the Al Mouj branch to inquirer about setting up a new account. took my number and waited only to see the staff let a woman walk in and straight to one of the desks, not even taking a number. leaving me waiting. Even though management saw this they all seemed happy letting someone jump the que. I know people pushing in is common in the middle east, but most places ask people to wait their turn. Seems to be a lack in discipline and etiquette.

This bank is probably one of the worst…

This bank is probably one of the worst banks I ever dealt in regards to their online banking services their mobile application their customer service everything is extremely basic.

I have been trying to reactivate my account with this bank for months bow I gave up 2 months Ago and ended up using WISE which is by far better than any bank in Oman just a personal opinion,

You know why this frustration?

#1 your fraud monitoring team is using tactics from 2001 when you falsely deactivate one of your clients cards when he is traveling abroad while he has his last CASH 15$ that he spent on a taxi to get to a specific ATM that works with BM cards as not all international atms work with it. They end up blocking the card while I have no cash and the only way to contact them is through their OMANI NUMBER which is Extremely expensive when calling oversees …
Imagine not having cash and not being able to refill phone credit or unable to buy water from the supermarket because your card is blocked ! And the only way you can contact the team is through an international phone call which sometimes costs 2$ per minute while roaming and it takes around 4 minutes to reach the representative you know how much of a difficult situation you have put me in when I had no cash and was in desperate need of my cash that’s in MY account ?

#28 I have traveled abroad for a while and my account got deactivated when I came back to Oman I have came to multiple branches multiple types same thing happened the employee takes my Information and ids etc … waste 15 minutes and ALLL of them reply the same oh sorry the system went offline when trying to reactivate your account….
On the phone as well wasting valuable minutes everyday on the phone trying to reactivate my account .. same result ….

we are in 2023 guys not 2005… this bank would be okay if it was 2005 currently

Worst customer care in Musanna and Muladha branches where I have visited multiple times. Discrimination based on Nationality.

The customer service is very bad…

The customer service is very bad especially Falaj Al qabail branch the service ambassador on the desk, its shocking that this era also discrimination on customers on their nationality. this may seriously leads bank to failure in future. I had a visit on 26.04.2022 and the service person behavior was very rude on the desk treating expats like animals and he himself acting busy over the counter and roming, i left the branch asap

Worst service

So, i got debit Visa from them.
They dont allow you to use paypal, ebay, and many other famous online shopping sites. Even they dont allow you to purchase crypto via your card.

Bank muscat have worst customer service.

I dont recommend any resident of oman using bank muscat.

please use alternative like Nbo.
