I’ve used Barclaycard for many years. Very helpful in dispute resolution in suspected fraud.

Application was easy enough, card arrived after a week, but still no pin, and thats needed to set up the app. All in all, pretty good. Just wish it was a little quicker to get up and using.

Probably the worst credit card company I have ever encountered.
Ordered a card in 2025. It never arrived so I forgot about it.
Fast forward to 2026 receive a statement saying 0 usage. Contact them to say I never received could they send out.
Informed me it was a 24months 0% purchase card. Said had 12 months left and refused to put the 24 months back on. I accepted the loss instead of cancelling.
Get the card through and it has no offers on. Call customer services who did their best but said nothing they can do as the offers are gone. But wait.. it wasn't a 0% card but a 0% balance transfer card (not what I ordered through clearscore) and even the credit limit was very low to say my credit score is excellent.
Very strange business practice. Had to raise a formal complaint because it's bee a waste of time, a marker on my credit history for taking out the card and then I'm going to have to cancel because why would I keep a high interest card with no offers.

Haven’t received my card. No email notification or updates regarding delivery. Nothing at all. I have only received the card pin letter. Strange.

Reduced my credit limit without notice just when I needed to use the card in an emergency

So, another update.
Yesterday, I received a call from Paolo Maurini at the Barclays executive complaints office. Unfortunately, around about six months ago or maybe even a bit longer I'd had occasion to speak with the very same person who at that point constantly interrupted me during the call, I asked him on several occasions not to interrupt me as I believed it to be bad manners and showed a complete lack of respect unfortunately, he continued to interrupt. Barclays at that time reviewed the call and agreed with my comments and concerns.
So today, when Paulo introduced himself, I was reminded immediately of our past issues and surprise surprise yet again all Paulo does on five different occasions is interrupt me. I requested that he desist from interrupting my calls, as he did not do so I reminded him of our previous problems and issues in relation to his interruptions, once again he interrupted me whilst I was talking so I took the opportunity of once again asking him not interrupt whilst I am speaking, Paolo in his great wisdom decides to end the conversation (put the phone down). It is without a doubt the blind leading the blind. I would encourage the senior management at Barclays and Barclaycard to review and listen to the call from Paolo of Yesterday. If anybody disagrees with my comments above or believes that I am falsifying what actually happened during the call ( and supplies proof) then I will immediately offer a retraction and an apology for my comments above however, I am confident that that will not be necessary.
Barclaycard app is useless, pretty much like their customer services (or lack of them).
The Barclaycard web access ceases 19th August so you are forced to use the mobile app.
This is a mighty retrograde step as the app doesn't work.
You have difficulty in reviewing what you have spent using the card though I'll bet it's very good at taking payments.
You cannot download your transactions as you can do from the web site so analysis is difficult.
When you try to get answers the FAQ's do not tell you what you want to know.
When you check for a telephone number you get routed to the chat service.
THE CHAT SERVICE DOES NOT WORK.
When you try to make a complaint about anything you get routed to the chat service.
THE CHAT SERVICE DOES NOT WORK.
When on the app you finally get to the "DIRECT CALL" system, it's not direct, it gives you a telephone number to call Barclaycard customer services.
So much for an "improved automated service", Barclaycard do not understand this concept.
When you finally get through to the CS agents on a telephone call, they tell you just go to the Barclays website and login with your Barclaycard credentials.
THIS DOES NOT WORK and the CS agents know this because on the second occasion tonight I was told to do the same thing by the second agent.
When I tried to raise a complaint via this second agent and guess what she cut me off.
Barclaycard will respond here with "this is not the service we aim to provide" and all of the usual blurb but in essence it is the poor service that you are providing.
The CS agents don't care or don't know, I'm not sure which is worse.
The app is not serviceable and nowhere near other banking apps who seem to have it right.
Barclays have a great deal to learn about customer service and stop treating customers so poorly.

Good Credit Cards and Mortgages, excellent 0% long term balance transfers - makes juggling money easier, but online banking needs a bit of a tweak

The application was easy, everything after is a bit outdated and slow. You cant activate without the pin. The pin takes days and you still cant do a balance transfer just get an error code. Other cards have been more efficient.
Update i finally after doing some research on the error code apparently its because the app needs to update once you have activated your card and pin.
Thank you for responding Tom, I dont have an issue with Barclaycard its the only time.i have ever had the delay from activating to being able to use the facility.
I finally achieved what I set out to do. Thank you
