Very Poor Experience of Bargainstock.co.uk

BargainStock sold me a cordless phone that I later discovered from the makers (Panasonic) had been withdrawn as it was intrinsically faulty.

Through emails and phone calls Bargainstock insisted that, once I had supplied the correct batteries, the phone would work and that the phones are all tested before despatch. This was despite their own item description stating that the batteries are included with the item.

Exasperated, I bought some additional batteries, which cost me £5.99, the phone came to life but the handset would not connect with the base station.

I started a Paypal dispute. Paypal found in my favour and asked me to send the item back by a traceable method which cost me £7

The original purchase price and p&p was refunded but not the £7 it cost to post the item back nor the wasted £5.99 on the batteries. I had a lot of hassle with these people and received no apology.

I would recommend that any prospective purchaser should avoid this company like the plague.

We did not offer any batteries for this particlaur phone which was advertised as "B" grade(kxtg8220 single handset) as this is the most common reason why they get returned in the first place when sold as brand new.
Item tested and working perfectly when finally returned (after more then 1 month)

(problem)needed to register to the base with some decent rechargeable batteries. batteries were the wrong type or not powerful enough.

This phone has had some very good reviews and they were so popular and have better reviews then the newer models.

Also we sold the same handset to someone else and have not had any complaints from the new purchaser.

We also gave a full refund upon receiving our phone back as we offer a return to base warranty. which included the orginal postage charges but not the returning of the item as it was non defective.
