Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 44 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported issues with payment systems, where machines would confirm payment but not provide receipts, or online systems would decline payments despite available funds. This often led to receiving penalty notices weeks later, even when proof of payment was available. Reviewers also found the appeal process problematic, with appeals being ignored, denied with generic responses, or requiring customers to pay fines to avoid higher charges while waiting for a resolution. Some people were dissatisfied with the pricing, finding charges disproportionate for minor overstays or for parking in locations where they believed they had valid permits. Additionally, customers experienced poor response times from customer service, with calls going unanswered and emails being ghosted, especially when trying to resolve payment or appeal issues.

Avoid their car parks

Parked in Leeds by the Armouries Museum for which I had pre-paid through Citipark. Got a notice of a fine for non-payment so sent through the receipt. Got another email asking for proof so sent receipt again. No further contact despite asking for confirmation that the fine had been cancelled. Quick to falsely accuse but not the guts to accept when they are wrong. I wonder if they try it on just to see how many people will just pay up.

ZERO STARS IF IT LET ME!

ZERO STARS IF IT LET ME!! I am absolutely beyond fuming receiving a £100 fine after parking in a car park in Leeds for 5 hours paying £15 !!! which is steep anyways, I was stuck in a meeting and overstayed by 15 mins or so, youd think giving I have already paid £15 which is absolutely outrageous , they would let me off. They should be ashamed, how they sleep at night is beyond me! Rather work anywhere in the world than a company like this, absolute scum of the earth !!!

Awful company

Awful company. Received a parking fine. Spent 4 weeks trying to pay it but office phone never open despite their automated voicemail stating their opening hours. PCN wasn’t recognised so couldn’t pay fine. Emailed numerous time and when I eventually got a response it was to advise the case had been passed to a debt collection agency where I was charged a further £70.

It’s basically fraud. Never use any of their car parks again,

No discretion

No discretion, no fairness

I’m extremely disappointed with how my appeal was handled for a parking charge at CitiPark Leeds Dock.

I fully acknowledged that I missed making payment on this occasion and explained the context, it was a genuine one-off mistake following an earlier incident that disrupted my usual routine. I am actually a regular user of this car park and consistently pay via the CitiPark app.

Despite this, the response I received was entirely generic, with no consideration of my history, intent, or the circumstances. It gives the impression that appeals are not genuinely reviewed, but simply rejected using a standard template.

A reasonable operator should be able to distinguish between deliberate non-payment and an isolated oversight from a loyal, paying customer. The complete lack of discretion reflects poorly on both BaySentry Solutions and the landowner.

This feels less about fair parking management and more about enforcing penalties. I will pay the charge, but I will also be reporting this process, as it highlights everything wrong with how these systems are run.

Mercenary and Draconian. Awful Company

No one should ever be parking in Baysentry's car parks. We parked here, thinking it was the park we had a ticket for.

And here's where it all goes wrong. They send us a fine of £60. But don't respond to emails or any kind of correspondence. You can see from the reviews that this is a valid tactic to "scare" you into paying.

As it wasn't my car, I've paid the fine. But the lack of customer service is appalling. It's just unfathomable that the Ombudsman hasn't come in and sorted out this mercenary and draconian company.

AVOID.

Bay sentry solutions must be the…

Bay sentry solutions must be the largest scam artists going. Mothers day in Leeds, used their managed car park (last time I was there it was pay by card). Now its an app (I don't do apps) or phone to automated system. This system didn't recognise my spoken responses, tried several times & even got sms to supply information followed by more calls. Finally my wife took over on her phone & still their automated system struggled to understand (we are English). Finally the system recognised the information & she paid the requested fee after 15 minutes of this fiasco & we went to lunch. Some days later I received a penalty notice. When we checked my wife's receipt for parking (emailed to her) it was for a car park in Hull.
I appealed and today these low life scummy extortionist have rejected my genuine appeal & are demanding £60 for not paying for the Leeds carpark. I bet when I request the repayment for the Hull carpark fee that I was no where near, the will refuse. Honestly, anyone working for these scumbags cannot have any self respect.

Pull your pants down

What a set of horrible people to deal with, unreasonable and arrogant. I used the Citipark app in Merrion Centre, Leeds, which is also completely misleading, to pay for parking. I actually paid over the amount I should have, paying £9 instead of £7.50, but because I hadn't used the right app pathway, and because I challenged them, I got hit by a £170 fine and a bayliff recovery order... absolute joke.
For complaints you're asked to speak to International Parking Community, who are also completely useless and ask you to speak with the company issueing the PCN, all a set of crooks.

Disgraceful and total miss management of there own systems.

One of my contractors working in Leeds has been using a car park managed by Baysentry. He religoulsy books in on line the day before to get authorisation and confirmation. Three weeks ago he recieved a notice of fine for illegal use and none payment. He rang and sent them confirmation of the payment that THEY confirmed prior to him entering. They made him fill out an appeal and he is still waiting! Since then he has recieved two more notices for illegal use and again dispite him having booked in advance and having there confirmation notices prior to entry. We have again complained and again they have said "fill out appeal forms". We are taking them to trading standards and the IPC who they are a member of. Absolutley disgraceful failures over and over again. If your thinking of them managing your spaces DONT, If your currently using them get rid!

Big Scammers

I parked my car and did not notice the sign indicating that payment should be made at the end of the parking period, so I paid at the start instead. In the meantime, I had changed my address and therefore did not receive any correspondence from them regarding my appeal. They claimed that they sent me an email.

They also did not refund the payment that was taken at the start of the parking. Furthermore, the matter was passed to debt recovery without at least sending me a second reminder via email. I am unsure whether any letters were sent to my old address.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing and poorly managed parking service.

Issued a parking fine for their faulty system

Issued a parking fine for non payment, with phots of my car entering and leaving the car park. I paid the parking charge and have it in my bank statement. It is now down to me to prove I paid. I’m tempted to let it go to court so they end up paying the legal fees.

Do not park at Church Car Park Watford!

Do not park at Church Car Park Watford!
My daughter and I have never had such a terrible experience from a car park that we have used for many years and until the beginning of this year had no complaints. We paid the price stated on the ticket machine for our parking and about two weeks later received a PCN for £60 saying we had exceeded the duration. We appealed and it was rejected so today we have appealed to the independent body of appeals and will wait to hear their answer. We have read these many reviews and see how this company operated and intimidates customers with Bailiffs if the charge is not paid.
If we don’t have a successful outcome we will be in touch with Citizens Advice and definitely will ask the Watford observer to consider doing a report on the car parks that use BaySentry solutions.

Very disappointed with how this company…

Very disappointed with how this company handled our situation. My daughter paid for her parking but accidentally entered the wrong date. It was a genuine mistake, and there was no attempt to avoid payment or cause financial loss.

Despite explaining the circumstances, they refused to show any discretion or reduce the £100 charge. While I understand rules must be enforced, a complete lack of flexibility or compassion – particularly when dealing with a stressed student doctor – feels unreasonable and unnecessarily harsh.

Customer service should allow for common-sense decisions in genuine cases like this.

Absolute con men

Absolute con men, signage in the car park is very confusing and the app they make you pay by can’t be used to pay for parking if you are in the car park. We paid for the time we spent in the car Park but ended up being charged a fine anyway. If you can avoid parking in their car parks it would’ve wise to do so.

Horrific customer service

Horrific customer service. They issued a parking charge due to an ANPR error, merging two separate visits on different days into one long stay. The charge was paid by my lease company without my knowledge, and when I tried to correct the mistake, I was told the case was “closed” and they refused a review. Customer service was poor, phone lines not operational during working hours, delayed email responses, and a complete waste of my time trying to appeal a charge that was not my fault. The appeal is still ongoing.

Frustrated!

Oh dear, I am very worried now I have read these reviews. I am currently trying to pay a fine but am having no luck. I tried calling them but the message says they can't find my pcn number. I definitely entered the correct number numerous times. The website said it's having some kind of technical problem, and won't let me pay. I get the feeling that they are deliberately blocking my payment so they can increase the charge. I am at a loss as to what I should do. You can't speak to anyone as the office is always closed, when it clearly states it should be open!!!

Scammers.

Unclear payment signage at car park with App only payment. Paid on entry not realising you had to pay on exit.

The App would not then allow a further payment on leaving.

£60 fine or £100 if paid after 2 weeks.

Appeal was denied.
