Still ignore their terrible customer service. I am submitting this complaint regarding misleading subscription practices and BODi’s failure to provide meaningful customer support.
I purchased a BODi membership. During the purchase process, I was not clearly informed that a protein shake subscription would also be activated. I was subsequently charged approximately $70 and received 14 bags of protein powder without my clear knowledge or consent.
After receiving the unexpected shipment, I contacted BODi to request a return. I was given two options:
1. Use BODi’s prepaid UPS return label for a $12 fee, or
2. Use my own preferred carrier.
I initially selected my own carrier but later decided to switch to BODi’s UPS option. There is no way to make this change online, so I contacted customer service for assistance.
During 1–2 hours of communication with customer service, my questions were never directly answered. Instead, representatives repeatedly copied or restated company policy in what felt like automated or scripted responses, without addressing my specific request or offering any practical solution. Requests for clarification or escalation were ignored. No effort was made to resolve the issue.
This behavior effectively prevents customers from resolving problems and appears designed to discourage returns. Combined with the unclear disclosure of the protein subscription, this experience feels misleading and unfair.

There is no way to actually contact to company to cancel or discuss issues and charges continue to come after cancellation.

They keep charging my credit card every December, even though I canceled my subscription in May of 2021. I have disputed every charge with my credit card company and the charge somehow keeps coming back. I have no way to contact Beachbody as I no longer have a subscription with them at all. They have stolen $895 from me. Stay far far away.
Their response is not helpful. I don't have an account with them to sign in with so telling me to sign in doesn't fix the problem.

These guys are crooks. They have the shady practice of setting you automatically up on autorenew, and then when you miss their notification email and they automatically renew you, even though you haven't used their service in over a year, they are totally unwilling to give you a refund. So not only did you pay for nothing with your initial subscription if you didn't like the service, you get to pay for another year for nothing because they absolutely will not give you a refund. Great business model, have people forget they have a subscription and charge them for nothing. Highly ethical company.Not.

We cancelled, but got charged again and arent sure why. There is no way to contact them either that works

Great app but you will get scammed out of $ directly applied to your credit card with no hope of resolution from the company to be refunded. If you’re a customer, REMOVE your credit card from their platform if you purchased anything from them as they will charge you regardless of any form of an agreement. SCAM. My full name is Suzanne Jones.
- never agreed to a subscription. I percent 1 get 1 through a coach and have received no proof that is was a subscription.
- never received an email stating I was going to be charged. No proof of email provided and has been requested.
- used my new credit card number without authorization.
Buy NOTHING from these scammers

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I’m sure you will see a heartless bot AI comment down below after I make this comment. They have essentially stolen 700 dollars from my family since 2022 when life got crazy and I thought I had cancelled with them. I was sick and in the hospital the week this year they had sent me an email about renewal, my husband then got an alert the day after about the 189.00 charge and I was like bodi? I haven’t used them in years and thought I had cancelled. I reached out to them and explained that I was sick and literally in the hospital the day the renewal email would have come in and that I have a health condition that makes it difficult to look at computer screens to begin with. Anyways this heartless company stole my money and refuses to give it back. There is no way to call a human being or to be treated like one. They are the absolute worst! If they actually cared about their customers they would take health problems into consideration. I will be fighting them on this dispute because the distress of this experience has impacted my health even further at a time when I was most vulnerable and frankly very sick.

Disgusting customer service and don't want to refund a one year subscription on DAY ONE

Scam. I bought a pass with promo package. They said they are not doing the promo package anymore so I cancelled my subscription. They did not refund me and then charged the FOLLOWING YEAR $179 and still will not refund. They charged me for something they did not even give me. I don't even have the bike. Also, there classes are a joke and they cant play music in them because they did not buy rights or something. They are the only company i have ever dealt with that will straight up lie and then their policy does not offer any returns automatic subscriptions. I sent in a report to BBB as well.

I've been a BODi member for years and really love some of the instructors. My financial situation has unfortunately changed and I have had health issues that have prevented me from exercising. I received one email on the 25th September with a cryptic message as a subject heading telling me my membership was up for renewal and then preceded to take £179 out of my account without further notification - I appealed it only to be met with AI messages. Went through a formal appeals process after a struggle and have now also been unsuccessful. Deceitful and disappointing.

Awful experience! Inaccessible website, no customer support other than AI and email (which is hidden and can only be accessed during the week).
No option for monthly payments even if you have completed years membership.
The website designed in a poor inaccessible way. This is clearly to ensure that you can’t unsubscribe and you can’t get support.
If you sign up, I suggest you cancel the membership after 31 days to ensure they don’t just take the funds direct from your bank without a reminder 12 months later.
please be warned, before joining, you are signing up to a company that state body care being their top priority but it’s not! Your money is! Mental and financial wellbeing- clearly not important!
No support, poorly laid out website and no communication and zero customer care- no human contact. The website states 24/7 support. However reality is no support at the weekends, and during the week it is AI or email! No phone line exists! Therefore no human contact to empathise with situation or troubleshoot navigation difficulties!
I have asked for a refund 3 days after money left my account (£179) and they will not give me any form of a refund! Not one penny! I’m signed up regardless of my situation for another year.
The company are after one thing- your money.
My best advice- Do not sign up!
BODi response does not answer the fact there is no option for monthly payment even though the marketing gives monthly amounts. No time to pull out of rolling membership (31 day money back guarantee) and no telephone line to help with troubleshooting or navigating the poorly laid out website. It’s difficult to find subscriptions and that is for one reason!
BODi- you are not there for customer satisfaction and your response shows that! Shame real shame as some of the workouts are class!

The workout programs are great, but they continued my subscription to their "Shakeology" autoship despite my canceling it. The shake mix is terrible. It not only tastes bad, but it doesn't mix well at all. I was told I would get a FULL refund, but instead I ended up having to pay a $12 shipping fee. Very disappointing.
EDIT: in response to BODI's claim that I didn't cancel my subscription. As you can see, them ignoring cancelations is not at all uncommon.
"BODi (formerly Beachbody) complaints focus on difficulty canceling subscriptions, including being charged for renewals after attempting to cancel and being denied refunds. Customers report being charged for services they no longer use, with the company often citing its terms and conditions and claims of sending renewal notice emails (which customers sometimes say they never received). Many users find the cancellation process confusing or ineffective and complain about a lack of accessible customer service beyond online forms or chat options that are sometimes unavailable.
Common complaints
Difficulty canceling: Customers report that even after they try to cancel, the subscription sometimes continues to renew.
Auto-renewal charges: Many complaints stem from being charged for automatic renewals that customers did not expect or notice, sometimes for high amounts and without a clear notification.
Denied refunds: After canceling, customers report being denied refunds for the new subscription period, often due to the company stating their policy allows charging for future services even after cancellation.
Lack of communication: Customers claim they never received a notification for the renewal charge, or that the emails were so disguised as promotional material that they were missed or filtered into spam folders.
Poor customer service: Many users complain about the difficulty in reaching a customer service representative by phone. Issues are often directed to online forms that may deny refunds, with little recourse for appeal, say Reddit users. "

Absolutely terrible experience when it came to canceling, or attempting to. For two months, I tried once a week to cancel starting before and after my renewal date. Many times, the site would not allow me to log on. When I could, if I hit the cancel tab, it kicked me off and back to a Google search. There is no contact phone number. The chat service just told me to log on, and we already know how that went. After my 31-day cancellation period was over, miraculously, I could log on again, but still could only text with someone who would not give me a refund. Hopefully my credit card company can help. DON'T DO IT!

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! DO NOT USE THEM. They say they send emails on renewals, and they are LIARS!!!! They "say" they can see when an email is read...that is also a lie. If they can "supposedly" see this, then they can see that I have not used the service for 3 years. HORRIBLE. Choose ANYONE but them.

Horrible company and even worse customer service! DO NOT sign up. I missed my cancelation window by 1 day and they refused to reimburse me! I cannot believe that I just wasted nearly $200 on BODi. They could care less about their customers. When I complained about the high cost they suggested that I sign up for another one of their "schemes" to reduce the cost. NO THANKS!

Scam company. I cancelled my subscription last year. I took out my credit card information. I still got charged and I can not get a refund. I experienced what other negative reviews are saying.

I feel I have been truly scammed by BODI. I signed up for a free trial with the expectation it would then run in to a monthly fee as they clearly advertise. I was then billed for a full year and they refuse to refund me despite me not wanting the service.
Update: BODI's response is comical. I made a one-off purchase to buy a workout plan. You then added a free trial to your monthly plan to my cart during checkout. You advertise all over your site a 30 day money-back guarantee but hide in the T&Cs that its not even true.
I have not had an experience as a customer like this in many years. Your organization is completely unethical. Its smokes and mirrors to scam people of their hard earned money. Shame on you.

I was not notified of my membership renewal and only found out it had been renewed when the money left my account. I no longer wished to continue with my membership so I contacted them to ask for a refund. They refused and claimed they had emailed me with a renewal notification, however, their 'proof' of this was a generic screenshot of the typical renewal email with no proof of who it was sent to or the date on which it was sent. They have done this three times and said their decision to refuse a refund is final, even though they did not hold up their end of the deal by sending out a notification email. Their customer service has been shocking and trying to get in contact with anyone higher than their customer service team has been virtually impossible. The money doesn't matter really, it's now the principal of the matter that they think they can take advantage of their customers in this way. I have asked 3 times now to be put in touch with a member of their management team but they are refusing to give me this information. I am now seeking legal advice to hopefully ensure this does not happen to any of their other customers. Clearly this is a greedy company who cares about money and nothing else
Edit - YOUR RESPONSE IS THE SAME GENERIC MISINFORMATION YOU'VE GIVEN ME ALREADY. HOWEVER, I WILL REPEAT ONCE AGAIN, YOU DID NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION THEREFORE YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT TO TAKE MY MONEY. IT IS ESSENTIALLY STEALING AND YOU NEED TO SUBMIT A REFUND BEFORE I TAKE THIS FURTHER AS YOU ARE CLEARLY DOING THIS TO MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS

I bought the bike and the include one year membership for my wife a little over a year ago. It took forever to ship and there is literally no way to contact them. Customer service is non-existent, the subscription is buggy, and the tablet looses connectivity all the time. Now that the subscription has run out I'm stuck with a bike and screen that requires an overpriced subscription to be useful. What a racket.

Horrible company. They steal your money. I cancelled in advance but apparently you have to send the items back and it was never mentioned to me nor did I get an email. Worst customer service and no phone line available. Stealers and on top of that the girl who I did the subscription through made commission. LOL!

And, of course they reply they’re usual reply to their reviews, which is unoriginal. People make mistakes and you take advantage of that. Not everyone is rich, money is hard to come by and so is taking care of yourself sometimes. Have more empathy. Have a good day :).
