I have cancelled the membership and the company keeps charging me. Every time I dispute their charge and show that the membership is not active under my acct they keep telling my CC that i agreed to charges. So frustrating.

Great until you try to contact customer service or question their billing practices. Then you just get passed off to a generic response. Very sharp practice. Also unimpressed with how frequently (or should I say infrequently) they update their "live" classes. You can find better for free on youtube. I certainly won't be renewing when I can finally get out of my expensive contract.
UK customers beware: they add 20% VAT to any price they quote you, so £99 actually means £119, and you won't be aware of this until your credit card is charged. Does UK consumer law not apply to this company? I'm STILL waiting for a satisfactory response from their "customer service."
EDIT:
The response below is par for the course. I did submit the tax form as requested – even though it misses the point entirely. I'm not objecting to paying VAT. I'm objecting to the fact that your prices don't show the actual amount customers will pay. It's misleading.

Worst business practices I have experienced. If you try to contact someone with their text-only customer service, they send you a link to their FAQ page saying you're not eligible for a refund, and close your conversation. Day 1 of an unwanted auto-renew, I asked my credit card company to help me recover the $179 charge and the merchant contact number BeachBody gave them is inactive. To make sure they do not charge me again, I blocked them as a merchant with my credit card company. I also just asked the BBB to help me recover my $179 for an unwanted, unused membership.
RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY:
****Your reply just proves the scam. Quoting a policy specifically created to squeeze more money out of customers you're losing anyway does not make it fair. It's reprehensible.****

I purchased a subscription for a year and they give you another year for free…
When logging in there’s no subscription and I look ways to contact them through a phone call with a live agent and there’s nothing it’s all through AI text messaging system ..
This is awful customer relationships . It’s a headache dealing with robots and not humans as of right now I still haven’t got a refund.. way to go beach body 2025 losing a lot of customers. Remember there will always be competition waiting on you to fail this is one way.

Super bad customer service!!!! They charged me for the annual subscription and I called them while it was pending. She assured me I would get my money back and I got email back saying denied because I was sent an email before and that I supposedly opened…. Which is a lie!!!
A true scamming company saying “we sent you an email prior and you opened it” I have 2,356 emails in my trash tab and none of them are from Bodi! Lost my money because they keep denying it when I have the exact emails they sent.
Was sent the link for the early renewal and it wouldn't work kept saying my cart was empty or oops looks like you already have that. They wouldn't give it to me after trying 8 times and have pictures of the messages that would pop up. Tried to fight it but they rejected me and my request so instead of $119 for early renewal which I tried almost a week prior to my renewal they wanted me to pay the $215 how convenient. I was a long time customer , 9 years spent thousands on their programs and products plus was a coach for many years to have them not give a crap about the issue that was preventing me to get my discounted renewal on their end. I am extremely disappointed in their policy and how they went about this. I love their programs, they work but they will not get one more penny from me over this!
And to reply to Beachbodys reply I did send additional information with pictures of it not working, conversations with my coach about it not working and what to do and I submitted a policy exception and I was denied. So yes there was additional information sent and I got denied.

Beware of the cancellation policy. I canceled the day before renewal and am still being charged. As others have said they will not give you a refund or prorate.

I was charged for an auto renewal without knowledge. Apparently they sent an email (which I never saw or opened when upon looking back was title year in review not your going to get charged again) to say the renewal period was coming. I caught the charge 2 days after and they are refusing to give a refund! They won’t even give a pro-rate for the one month which I could understand. When I called they basically said “Too bad, you should have read the fine print. “ Terrible way to treat a customer. I put up the huge price hike with the “BODi blocks” which also was a scam(went from new each month to once every 4 months).

They will not give you a refund!!!! Have been changing my card for the last 2 years.

I used to love this company and I also used to be a coach, but I will never shop here again. I’m not sure why the policy changed after Covid, however they won’t even grant a refund for an auto annual membership renewal 3 days after the renewal. I submitted the form requesting a refund. They wrote back saying they are denying it and they sent a notification of auto renewal on 10/1/24 and I opened it 10/2/24. That is complete not true and a false statement. The email they sent is not opened as of today and it is 11/7/24. They simply lied. Furthermore I zoomed in on their screenshot and it says “to me” so it’s a random screenshot of a renewal not even addressed to me. I would love to include a picture and hopefully I can with this review to show they are liars who don’t even care about loyal customers.

This company has a very scammy business model and horrific customer service. It *might* be worth it if they were easier to work with from a customer service stand point but alas their customer service is so terrible it has put me off from the whole program.
They continued to charge me for years after I canceled and then when I called (with dates and order numbers) they claimed that I didn’t actually cancel it, but that they canceled my plan in January only to renew with a *new* plan in October. Since I didn’t save a proof of cancelation email from 3 years ago I guess I’m at fault. $480 in continued auto charges later and a very frustrating customer service experience later and I’m SOL.
This is also apparently a pretty standard experience backed up by the 600+ reports to better business bureau with the same story. All in all it’s not worth it. You would be better off with literally any other fitness/nutrition program cause this one belongs in LAST PLACE.
If you are really set on giving this abysmal company a try I highly suggest you set reminders for auto renewal charges and when you cancel (because you will cancel) save, archive, and screen shot the cancelation email and ensure you have canceled the entire plan then make sure they do not have your billing info anymore. That way when they illegally charge you the next year you will have the proof you need to dispute the charge with your credit card and protect your money.
TL;DR: Don’t do it friend, it’s a waste of money and a scam. Save yourself the headache and pick literally any other fitness program.

Their renewal policy is toxic! I tried to get my money back within hours of their renewal and they did not refund me my money even though I will not be using their products.
Please be aware and don't let them steal your money, they stole close to $200 with a shady renewal policy... I will never recommend them unless they change their policy and return the money to the many people they have stolen from!

Yada yada is all I hear from you guys! Your customer service is absolutely horrible!
I had bought the Beachbody yearly subscription, but then shortly after due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to exercise at all. For that year subscription, I only was able to watch maybe one or two videos because I was not able to exercise. Once I was able to exercise again, I called Beachbody to see if they could extend the subscription and they refused. They said that since there were no technical issues with the account, then it was my fault and not theirs. I found this very heartless and unforgiving. I was hoping to use this service to regain my health but apparently I will not be able to. I would AVOID getting a yearly subscription at ALL COSTS. If anything were to happen to you, they will NOT reimburse you or extend it. It was a lot of money wasted.

Like many others, I requested a refund within 48 hours of my subscription automatically renewing and was denied. After going through the "Policy Exception Request" process, I received the same generic response as others, stating they had "thoroughly reviewed" my case.
I believed I had canceled my subscription, but the cancellation process is overly complicated and, in my view, does not align with FTC guidelines for providing a straightforward cancellation mechanism.
The renewal notice I received resembled a marketing email, lacking clear mention of the renewal in the subject line. This seems intentionally misleading. Given the numerous complaints from customers, perhaps the company should do some self-reflection and reconsider how they communicate subscription renewals to avoid confusion.
In their denial of my request, they stated, "Like all memberships that auto-renew, you will continue to receive access and be billed regardless of usage until you take action to cancel." I understand the auto-renewal policy, but given that my account has been inactive since renewal, I expected a more compassionate response and a refund, which aligns with industry-standard practices.
While they noted that I agreed to the Terms and Conditions, my concern is not that they are violating their Terms and Conditions, it is that these terms are predatory. The abundance of similar reviews on various platforms suggests a systemic issue within Beachbody, not a user issue. The company should acknowledge these concerns and make necessary changes to their policies.
Disgustingly, the final paragraph of my denial included a promotional code for $20 off any item worth $50 or more. Given the company’s financial struggles, a better approach might be to enhance customer experience rather than forcing unwanted subscriptions on people.

Very dodgy billing polices with automatic renewals annually. Website states an email reminder will be sent 30 days prior to renewal. This doesn't happen. So they just lie in black and white. Disgraceful way to do business. Avoid avoid avoid. Customer service couldn't care less. Any other company would refund if you haven't used the product. These guys are different.

This company is a scam. The renewal notice they send is not clearly titled… and u have to scroll all the way down after a whole ass essay about new year goals blah blah blah… and in small print they have the renewal notice. And the title of the email is some bogus bs. You have to go through the plethora of spam emails they send you to find it so no wonder everyone states they never received it. Shady as hell. There was also no explicit email sent stating that membership prices were doubling. I will be reaching out to my states attorney general and local reps to flag this because upon a quick search after I was charged $179 without my explicit authorization of the new fees, i see there are SOOO many with the same issue… and since I couldnt find an email to contact them in the middle of the night, i went to social media to leave a message and comments on IG are turned off. Shady! I will also be reaching out to local media to raise flags. This is beyond unprofessional and deceptive.

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. First of all, you can never find a phone number that works or get a hold of anybody. secondly, I charged my account $196 and refused to refund. I have not used Beachbody in over a year and they charged my account. I do not recommend this company to anybody.. Do not buy their services!!!

I was shocked when I saw a $189 charge for this program. I remember either removing my payment method or attempting to cancel this subscription before it was renewed. I called customer service in a panic because I had not used the program in a very long time AND told them what I mentioned above.
They told me I could not get a refund. I was astounded. What terrible customer service - it had been only THREE days since it renewed - not 6 months. I was not using the program.
I submitted a refund exception form which I think customer service probably does just to appease you. The chances of it getting approved seem very rare.
They denied my refund request and said "Our system shows that we sent you a “Pre-Bill” notification email on 8/22/2024."
The email notification was so cryptic! "Subject Line: Your next year of results with BODi!"
How about instead: "YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS ABOUT TO RENEW." How about that for a subject line?
What bogus and how shameful. This company won't last if they continue to provide such AWFUL customer service. I will not recommend it to anyone.
