Beatport has lost its way.

Beatport has gone from being a relatively decent and useful platform to a poorly managed, greedy enterprise that clearly doesn't listen to, or give a **** about its customers. Between the dreadful 'upgrade' of an already terrible user interface, to increasing the price of tracks to the point that they're now beyond garnering interest or investment. This started with having to pay to download your own purchase history and went from bad to worse. This platform is done for me. If I can't get it on Bandcamp or Amazon (both of whom retain free access to your own purchased back catalogue), I'll simply move onto some other producer and platform that works. I say this as someone who would have spent a considerable amount every month at Beatport, however no more.

Incompetent website

Everything used to work just fine. Now Missing tracks from shopping folder I took months to assemble just vanished Serous djs find alternative, more reliable sites. Beatport.com just died.

I would have rated by 1-star

I am tempted to give 1-star, because of totally unmonitored website for years. bunch of functionalities have been broken, I have reported all support persons multiple times for about 10+ bugs, and they never ever fixed even simple things. Re-authorization issue for years unfixed. totally ignorant service to users needs

The most important music store for DJ's! AAAA++++

Beatport is without doubt the most important place for DJ's to discover and get the hottest and latest tracks, the curated playlists and charts are a great guide the quality of the audio is excellent, yes the search speed could be quicker but I get that the site is huge and has a tremendous amount of music which is actually very well organised. I have just subscribed to their streaming service too that works well with Traktor - thanks guys! AAAA++++

Poor Value, Sluggish to a Standstill

The site has always been sluggish, but since recent updates, this has worsened tenfold.
Links are broken, or inactive and there seems to be loads of coding issues. 106 errors, 28 warnings on one page alone.
It takes several minutes for a single page to load, and tracks don't play when clicked.
I can't even access my shopping cart to make a purchase.
It is almost completely unusable. I consider the site, broken and in need of urgent repair. As a subscriber, I am considering putting my money elsewhere. I am not getting anywhere near value for money.

Duplicated Hype releases

They need to change their system that is running the hype services. Every week they are constantly duplicating same releases for sometimes more than 3 weeks. Hype seem like a scam for low budget labels that are just trying to get some recognition. Please fix this issue!

I see nothing has changed with the site…

I see nothing has changed with the site in terms of how it runs. Still very slow with my library not loading right away, which causes the site to freeze until it does. Now trying to buy tracks are a game of 50/50. I can buy tracks some times and the other times my transaction is declined.

I bought a song.

I bought a song. And everything was fine without problems.

I think the bad reviews are because of who subscribes.

In my opinion, if you only want to buy a few songs, especially through PayPal, I don't think there are any problems.

Literally the worst service ever.

Literally the worst service ever.

Even though I cancelled 30-days trial subscription on the first day when I subscribed with the website, they still charged me through Paypal after a month.

Obviously, no contact from them when asked wagwan.

They Keep Everything!!

This website, is in cahoots, with a distribution label, by the name of Octiive/IIP-DDS. The label is a scam, and BeatPort, feels as if, they can keep every dollar, of an artist's revenue, after providing much proof, of a fraudulent music label. I've contacted them using legal(at)beatport.com email address, and no reply. I reported them to the BBB, and now their tryna play nice, but still no resolution.

Unusably slow!!!

Beatport used to be quite good, getting into the DJ thing again a few years later but seriously the website is just pure rubbish! Can't seem to play music for longer than 15secs before is pauses for 20secs, takes up to a minute to load a track, just unusable, cannot get a feel for music with all of the waiting and interruptions, over it! Beatport sucks, they have really screwed it up and currently looking for alternatives. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE if you require a stable and reasonable working website. Drives me MENTAL!

Horrible, just atrociously bad!

I've tried every concievable DJ streamin service outhere and this was BY FAR, one of THE WORSE experiences i've ever had with a site/company/on-line provider etc. This site is a genuine nightmare. Painfully slow, full of buggs, freezes all the time, GUI is terrible, clunky and full of useless banners, menus are really cumbersome. For a company that's supposed to be at the forefront of DJ's streaming platform, and for the money they charge, their total lack of consideration and interest towards their user's exeperience is quite literally disgusting at the very least.
They sleep on their monopoly in the business and just ripp off people, and seem to get away with it.
F you, i'm sticking to Apple Music!

pure pain, don't wast your time

Poor user experience on site, search is the slowest thing imaginable, cant log in with email as username - has to be forgotten username, doesnt remember you even if you click 'remember me' when logging in.

To top it off cant re-download a purchased track after 48hrs unless you sign up to their subscription.

Alternatives (Juno download, bandcamp) are better. I moved from Juno as the player pops out in a new window which was annoying but it doesnt even begin to compare with the pain of using this site. Its 2023 and this site loads like its 1995.

Cant redownload

Cant redownload, site is insanely slow and there are bugs non stop, give yourself a break and don´t use Beatport. Believe me, you'd better be off making the music youself. Or go do some gardening. Don't use Beatport.

Recently subscribed to beatport and on…

Recently subscribed to beatport and on the whole not really impressed. Firstly i subbed to a £14.99 per month sub and my first payment has come out at £17.99 which makes no sense. The app is reasonable but not great. Quite slow and clunky and pretty limited. The sound quality of the tracks seem to differ and finding a lot of tracks are not full mixes like they have being ripped from somewhere else. Haven't really used the website much but I've heard that also has it issues. I'm cancelling my subscription mainly because of the price im being charged and reached put to customer support and yet to hear anything.
