De Vere \Beaumont Estate Windsor

We stayed for 1 night at the windsor site, the room at £249 was tiny, the gap between the bed and the desk was 150mm, there was no air conditioning and just a tiny fan, only good point was that the breakfast was good.

Poor EV protocol

I was there as a disability party on the weekend of 6th June 2026. the hotel was a very nice hotel with very nice staff, the food was outstanding and the facilities for the disabled were more than adequate.
my one and only complaint, and the same complaint was had from other guests in my position was, their were only two EV chargers on the whole site, and there were two none ev card parked on those spaces all weekend. when we asked about the owners. the response from the staff was not very constructive. those vehicles did not move all weekend, and therefore we had to go off site to recharge our cars.

Shocking customer service

When you need to speak to someone it is never possible. It takes days to get an answer out of office hours no help from anyone.
Service is so poor it really is not worth it.
De Vere reception said they had had numerous clients arrive with same issue and just needed to telephone the number on booking. No answer.
De Vere Estate Windsor are just as bad has taken 7 days for a reply, hotel staff are obnoxious, they claim to have no contacts at booking.com and will not assist with booking as should book direct rather than with a 3rd party
Have now lost £120.00 as neither willing to assist with a refund or change of date. Shocking customer service. Would certainly not recommend a De Vere Hotel to anyone

Once again we had an amazing time at The Beaumont!
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special.
Kayla on Reception who was very polite, friendly and professional.
We had the most delicious Afternoon Tea served perfectly by Nicolae.
Jacque in the 1705 Restaurant was very helpful with our takeaway Pizza order.
Alex at breakfast was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Che does a great job at breakfast too.
All of the staff go above and beyond to create the best Guest experience.
The grounds are incredible, so well maintained. We find something new each time we come.
Inside the hotel everywhere is immaculately clean with so many interesting things to discover, we loved the Sculptures from the Resident Artist.
Thank you! We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Shocking experience with the receptionist Andrew

Shocking experience! The reception guy his name is Andrew shocking experience with him!

Arrived at the hotel went to the room the bed
was not ready and tried to call to the reception and there was a number on the phone for assistance and I tried to call that that number wasn’t exist so I couldn’t make a contact. Tried to find the number through the booking and I tried to call the number to contact the property Owner and nobody answered the phone so had to walk from other side of the hotel to the reception and went to the complain I tried to call you but nobody answer the phone and the guy name wwas Andrew. He was so rude and he’s just blaming to the dayshift people and he saying it’s not his fault. The bed is not ready for you and I ask why you don’t answer your phone and heeling in a very bad telling me I’m standing here nobody called and I tried to show the numbers I’m tried to call and he has been very rude and I was very disappointed the way he talk back to me and I wasn’t expecting that as a four star hotel really really disappointed
I will add some photo that showed I tried to contact them so many times as my kids need to be sleep at that time
I hope the manager fixed the issue and I hope nobody has the same experience of that and I would never ever recommend anybody come to this place and this place supposed to be a Forster hotel specially the customer service reception

Terrible experience, freezing cold as heating not working!

A family afternoon tea this weekend was spoilt by the fact we were seated in the bar area which was freezing cold, with the wind whistling through the corridor and open plan space. On enquiring if the heating was on I was told "I am not sure ot is working?!", expressing how appalling this was with outside temperatures at -4, the bar man tried to help by bringing a plug in 4 bar oil heater. Other areas like the reception where heated.
A terrible experience had by us and a shocking customer experience offered by the estate. We took a large part of the tea home and would not visit again.

AVOID Coeliac contamination on first night 😡

This was supposed to be a very special break for us, our 30th wedding anniversary, so I researched thoroughly to make sure where we stayed would be safe. I was informed when I phoned that it wasn't a problem, I reiterated that I am coeliac, not just gluten intolerant and also dairy intolerant and was reassured.

On check-in, this information was on our details, but when we went to the restaurant in the evening this information had not been passed on. I informed the waitress of my dietary requirements, who then sent another waitress to our table, who then informed the kitchen and came back again to check. I am not a fussy eater and informed them that I didn't care what I was given as long as it's safe to eat (this I know makes the chef's life easier), but was not reassured by all the tooing and froing which happened for a third time 😕

I was given a luke warm soup and no bread, a dry rotisserie chicken, salad and chips, no dressings or coleslaw. Although I had informed them weeks ago, surely something more interesting could have been organised. I was initially told that I couldn't have the chips, but checked with the waiter that brought them and he said they were fine.

An hour after my meal I started to feel unwell and realised I had indeed been contaminated. The following morning I obviously couldn't have breakfast ( good job really as my husband said there were crumbs all over the table and lodged in the grooves. I went to reception to speak to the manager, they weren't available and I was given an email to write to guest liason. This I did immediately as we had already paid in advance for two breakfasts and two evening meals for two days. We didn't risk eating at the hotel again, although I wasn't hungry, so we went into town to an accredited restaurant, although I wasn't really up to eating.

Although we were given an upgrade for our room to a suite, which was wonderful, this doesn't make up for the upsetting time that we had. I didn't receive a reply to my email that I sent the morning of our second day, I wrote again a week later and also copied in the De Vere head office and I still have had no reply a month on and I was told I would hear within 24 hours.

The surroundings of the hotel are stunning and the Georgian building that we stayed in was gorgeous, but I will never stay there again and anyone who has a food allergy should stay clear. The staff obviously need training in allergies and for the chef to ask if a coeliac is OK with traces certainly doesn't understand.

Totally ruined what should have been a wonderful celebration.

Beautiful wedding venue

My partner and I had our wedding ceremony at Beaumont just a few days ago on the 7th of August. The event manager Helen is incredible! She helped me organise such a lovely and intimate wedding during Covid 19 which wasn’t only safe but also magical!! Staff were so friendly and professional, I would highly recommend

Worst hotel I have ever been too! Cannot ever recommend.

We booked a special occasion wanted to go with the Beaumont due to its long history and great scenes or exterior and interior. A huge amount of history and what's known as one of the better hotels in the area.

For a first time experience I can only review that this is by far the worst hotel I have been in and had the disprivilage to stay with.
The hotel had a double room booked. When I arrived and checked I was put into a room that can only be described as lower than the average travel lodge. The facilities were in a terrible state. The bed tatty and torn, the room items not working, telephone, extractor fan. The room was also seemingly made up for one person. One towel, one cup, water glass, one set of pillows.
Upon going down to management. I raised these issues and was told to take a seat. I say in the lobby waiting for 20 minutes for a issue that was not of my doing at 10:30 in the evening !
When the manager finally came over I was told that the room booked was a double and he would arrange some more cups.
I advised the room would be changed as it is unacceptable. He said there is no more rooms.
I said to him that that's not my issue if your company has over subscribed and now I have no room so you put me in a single room.
Eventually after another 20 mins I went back to my room with the understanding that someone was coming to get me and give me another room, apparently their last room of the hotel with 414 rooms?
So we proceeded to the next room suggested which by all accounts was the same room. Besides now haven't a base sheet on the bed. Everything else was 100% the same.
The fact that we have now paid for a double room, been pushed in a single room due to over subscription and then told here were no more, only then to be put in another meager room by the manager is of a very very poor standard by all accounts of any hotel, let alone one of this historical legacy.
We proceeded back to this manager now with all bags in tow to discuss why this was the case and if he thought this was a solution.
In this case it wasnt, and his lies by telling me there is no rooms only then to get a different single room is completely unacceptable.
The room should have been upgraded as such due to their inability to control their bookings and amount of custom being allowed in. £200 per night for a lower than travel lodge standard. Thank god it was one night.
