Ripoff

Today ripped off returning an item. Paid $35 for said item was credited 90 cents for return. Will not do business with Bed Bath and Beyond ever again. Horrible customer service and horrible return policy

This place is a SCAM

This place is a SCAM, I ordered several items for my new home and immediately returned them when I realized they were not going to work. I also had another item severely damaged, so I returned that one as well. Come to find out, they CHARGE their customers for shipping. Example, the $40 rug that I purchased, was refunded $13! Horrific experience. I recommend NOT doing business with this company

I wish I could give them a zero

I wish I could give them a zero. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SHOP, I don't even know what to call them. I ordered a coffee table that was not as pictured and engineered in a way making it impossible to put together. *note: my husband did get it together, he's an engineer, but it took him 5 hours and he had to gerryrig 2 different tools together..I'm relatively sure few would be able to do this. I wrote a review on the product, and BBB actually got back to me. Said the seller is aware of the problem and I needed to contact them...which I did and haven't heard back yet. First of all, they are Aware of the problem and still selling it? Secondly, THEY HAVE TAKEN MY REVIEW OF THIS PRODUCT DOWN! They are still selling it and making sure customers are not aware of the issue that they've admitted is impossible to put together.

No worries, we’ll help you install it, Could you please send us some photos or a video of the details that you could’t install? My husband finally got it together. He had to custom hob knob a tool using 2 of his own tools, screwed together, which made it possible but took hours to screw in the required 24 screws. The whole process took over 5 hours. Terrible design and not worth the effort as an overall cheap ugly piece. The fact that this appears to be a problem that you are ‘Aware’ of means you should not be sending it out. Period. If you’re selling a product that requires assembly and you ‘know’ it’s basically impossible to put together with the janky 1 inch long screwdriver that you’ve thrown in, (I guess that was the ‘fix’) and your customer has figure out a work around to reach inside the leg and try to screw in perpendicular in a 4 inch square column, this is the sellers problem, NOT the buyers issue.

If I could give a minus 5 stars I…

If I could give a minus 5 stars I would. After waiting 30 minutes on hold. I tried to return a rug that was purchased in error - I was quoted $ 54.00 to return the rug. When I refused to pay that and asked to speak to a manager I was told it would be free if I purchased a one year membership. I will never buy anything from BBandB again.

I will never buy anything from this rip-off store!! I ordered a towel set and didn’t like it, so I went to their website to do a return. At the very end, you have to choose how you will send your items back to them. To get a return label from BBB, you will have $20.00 deducted from your refund! Are you kidding me?!? $20.00?!? If you choose to ship it yourself, there is a long worded pop up that basically lets you know you will not end up getting your refund!
$20.00 dollars to return your items back to BBB!!! Ridiculous rip-off!!!

Absolutely lost all my business

Absolutely lost all my business. I ordered bath mats for my daughter's bathroom in our new home. This was going to be a Christmas gift for her. I ordered two vanity mats and one shower mat a few weeks before Christmas. I was told that these would arrive in just a few days. Well, two came a few days later, but completely the wrong items. I called them and they sent me a return label. A few days before Christmas, I received the exact same wrong item and was told the third item would not be delivered in time. I asked to cancel the third item and I wanted to return the two wrong items again. I was told this would take a few day because of the holiday rush. I understood this is a busy time of year. Two weeks later, I get a return label for the two wrong items but no return label for the third item. I called and they told me that I would have to pay for shipping myself because the item was shipped already (2 weeks late). They were very rude via email and so to return the item, I was told I would have to pay $20.05 for the label (Even though they shipped this after the Christmas holiday). There was no budging on this cost for me and I couldn't talk to anyone other than via email. DO NOT BUY FROM BED BATH AND BEYOND if you want any service after the sale. Going online only has DESTROYED this company that was once a decent place to shop.

You won’t get your money back!!

It’s no wonder this company is going out of business. I ordered a duvet cover on their website, described as a heavyweight comforter. When it arrived, the comforter was very thin. I returned the item since it was not as described, and they still have refused to give me a refund. The item was delivered to the return address (with tracking info to verify) on January 13th. On January 20th, I sent an email to customer service, and got an auto reply that they would return my email in 6-7 days. When I got a reply, they asked for the tracking information (and only give you 24 hours to reply or your case is closed) and I provided it. They replied again saying they had to “check with their partner” and would reply in another 4 days.

Seriously, give me the dang money back! What a scam!!! A last ditch effort to keep your money since they are going out of business. Don’t waste your time and energy here.

I bought two high back bar stools to…

I bought two high back bar stools to use at my table in the kitchen. They arrived on September 4th. It is now January and they are such poor quality.. the back leather is surrounded by wood and there are deep gouge chips in the wood. I live alone no children no pets and one chair no one sits on and it's still chipping in the wooded area. I called bb&b and they told me since it's over 30 days nothing they can do. I told them please report this merchandise as poorly made cheap garbage and don't sell anymore of them. I will be looking for new chairs but not at this company. They don't stand behind their goods.

Poor quality, ridiculous and expensive return

I used to love this store back when it had physical locations nationwide. I hadn’t purchased from them in years and was unaware that they had changed their business model.

I recently received a poor-quality Christmas tablecloth set from Villeroy & Boch (or possibly a counterfeit). Three separate items were included in a single order and arrived together in one package. However, the store required that each item be RETURNED INDIVIDUALLY, with return shipping paid separately for all three.

Bottom line: I paid $45 to return an $89 purchase. The items were sent back two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive a refund. Please be aware. This store is not what it used to be.

BUY ELSEWHERE

BUY ELSEWHERE - IGNORE ONLINE SALES AND COUPONS. Purchased three "weighted shower curtains" which I expected to be shower curtains with weights in the bottom hem (google it - it's a thing). Instead received shower curtains made of 120 weight fabric. Not the same thing at all. In order to return you are forced to purchase their return label which costs more than the shower curtain.

I ordered a a 6 ft tall 2 ft wide…

I ordered a a 6 ft tall 2 ft wide two-door multi-storage cabinet. It was advertised as real wood but it was not real wood. It is particle board so it should not be used in a garage although it was advertised to use it in the garage. Because particle board should not be in any room where there is moisture; it will warp. Particle board is just pressed sawdust and wood chips with glue. Step five of the instructions doesn't show the dole rods. The front of the sides needs labeled for the hinge holes. You can't tell if you're going to put the back panel on the front or the back. There should be a note to look for the hinge holes before attaching the back panel. We put the back on where the front should have been and then had to remeasure for all the hinge holes. The little paper stickers are a waste. They don't stick and an allen wrench came, but there are no instructions on where to use it. The instructions say it would take a half hour and that it's medium/hard to put together. I think that's a lie. It took us over 3 hours. The doors and hinges are difficult to put on and I would say that it's a difficult assembly unless you've done it before.

Sent me the wrong item

Sent me the wrong item, nothing even similar to my order. Waited on hold for nearly 40 minutes for a human to be connected.
The agent was fine, did her job, and assured me that they will have the wrong item picked up and the correct item delivered, however, I'm not holding my breath.

I purchased a lamp from Bed Bath and…

I purchased a lamp from Bed Bath and Beyond with a missing piece. I had someone install the lamp. He installed it, then realized a part that was needed was missing. He told me I would need to replace the part. That I should be able to find it at Lowe’s, etc. I went everywhere , no one had the part. It’s a specialty part. They told me to call Bed Bath and Beyond to get the part. I contacted Bed Bath and beyond a couple of months ago to get a replacement part. They 1st said they could send a replacement part. A long time passed before I heard from them again. This time they said the company who they get the part from isn’t responding, so would I prefer a replacement. The next day I received an email taking back their offer to replace the lamp saying it had been too long since it was purchased, so they would not be able to help me. I let them know I’ll now have to buy a new lamp because this lamp is hanging incorrectly because of the missing part. It’s an irreplaceable part. I let them know I won’t be buying anything from them again.

I tried to cancel an order within 60…

I tried to cancel an order within 60 minutes of purchasing it by mistake. They responded that it was already processed and I can return it once received, I received the item and after contacting them, they were very unhelpful and said the return charge would be $28.00. The cost of the item was $60.00. This is the last time I will be doing business with this company. I gave them another chance because the last time I ordered something from them, I never received it and never could get it resolved, So ordering form Bed Bed and Beyond is a roll of the dice with your money.

I returned a lamp to Bed Bath And Beyind they charged me $27.00 to
Ship it back. A good portion of my payment was from a Visa gift card. I unfortunately did not keep the card and do not have the number. BBB wiped out the info on line under my account. They refused to provide me with the number so I could call Visa to get a new gift card with the balance. It was totally a deliberate.
Once again you could not speak to any one from the US and there were never any supervisors available. All the customer service reps were offshore and absolutely had no interest in helping me get some kind of credit. I was for many
Years a BBB customer.
Never again!!!

Spent $600 on a coffee table that was nothing like the online images. Terrible finish splotches of stain everywhere. I’ve never seen anything like it. They refused to return my item. Tried reaching out multiple times. They deleted my review after the fact. They are absolute criminals.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING FROM Bed Bath & Beyond

My wife and I had a very bad experience and feel compelled to warn others.

We were shown a dining table displayed with chairs around it and priced at $1,400, which reasonably led us to believe the chairs were included. Only after the purchase were we told—in very small letters—that the chairs were NOT included.

When I complained, instead of resolving the issue fairly, they picked up the table and then deducted $375 from our refund, causing us both financial loss and emotional distress.

This experience felt misleading and unfair. After reading many reviews, it’s clear there is a reason so many customers are reporting similar problems.

PLEASE BE WARNED — READ THE FINE PRINT. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
