Joe that I dealt with was very helpful, pleasant and advised me of things that I should do to benefit me and protect monies I had already paid/earned
I was a member for years
I was a member for years, I've had numerous interesting beers for a fair subscription cost.
I've had to cancel due to a change in personal circumstances, bit of a faff to have to call during office hours (some of us aren't free during these times) instead of being able cancel online.
But Kaye was very polite and professional. I may be back in the future if my circumstances change again.
Quick efficient
Quick, efficient, and helpful customer service. Ellie was able to outline all my options should I wish to use all my vouchers etc. Very good experience.

great customer service
customer service experience was very high quality, and Joe's knowledge and authenticity were very evident in his handling of my call.
Average overpriced products, awful cancellation process
I signed up to Beer52 through an introductory offer that appeared in my Sky Deals. I thought it was worth trying - if I liked it, I'd stay subscribed; if not, I'd just cancel.
The beers / wines / whisky / coffee were okay, but nothing particularly special. For the price, I didn't think they offered good value, which is why I decided not to continue my subscription.
The biggest issue, however, was the cancellation process. The website gives the impression that you can cancel online, but instead you're taken through multiple pages asking why you're leaving and repeatedly trying to persuade you to stay with various offers. After spending time answering all of those questions, you're then told that you HAVE TO PHONE to complete the cancellation.
After waiting in a queue, you're asked many of the same questions again before you can finally cancel. It feels like the online process is deliberately designed to wear you down rather than let you manage your subscription.
I've cancelled plenty of subscriptions over the years, and this is the first one where I wasn't actually able to complete the cancellation online despite it initially appearing that I could. I struggle to believe the reviews claiming the cancellation process is "easy", as that certainly wasn't my experience.
If Beer52 genuinely wanted former customers to come back in the future, they'd make leaving as easy as signing up. Instead, the frustrating cancellation process has meant that I won't be subscribing again. Ever.

Subscription Cancellation
The guy I spoke with to cancel my subscription was lovely, though I do find the idea of not being able to cancel online irritating. It’s a great marketing tactic, but does not address those customers who may be averse to speaking to companies via phone and therefore I wouldn’t say it’s entirely consumer friendly and putting customers first.

Brilliant customer service
Brilliant customer service from Mikhaila!
Couldn’t be more helpful to help me out & take feedback onboard.
Great product spoiled by aggressive sales
The product and concept is excellent. Reliable delivery, interesting beers, great offers. Why I've knocked off 2 stars is for the aggressive sell when trying to cancel, I'd be much more likely to dip in an out of a subscription if the cancellation was much easier. I don't want to be offered coffee or wine subscriptions as an alternative, I just wanted to cancel.

Excellent
Customer service was polite, professional and so straightforward. Lewis was a pleasure to deal with.
Good Customer Service and Good Beer
I've used Beer52 and Wine 52 a couple of times. And the beers are always good choices and I like how random the beers are. I cancelled but it was nothing that Beer 52 done which caused me to do it. Quick delivery. Good chat with customer services. Will join again in the future
