Two issues. 1. These are seriously expensive; 2. I didnt get folding instructions with the boxes and the 6-bottle-pack are not obvious or straightforward to put together with inserts

Unfortunately due to a series of circumstances since lock down last year the whole industry, like many others, has experienced numerous raw material price increases. Like all businesses we need to maintain a certain margin and although we have had to pass the price increases on, we have shared these increases with our customers as we understand how these impact on their businesses too. If you have seen a similar box with the same quality board and can share this with us we would be happy to look at our costs again to see if they can be tweaked.
Our standard practice with all new orders is to send folding instructions out and if you haven't received these I will raise the oversight with the warehouse....please accept our apologies. You can also find the instructions on our website by navigating to the product page where you purchased these, or if you would like us to post you a copy out please get in touch.

Boxes were supplied quickly, and they are decent quality. But delivery of £38 to the highlands of Scotland is shocking

We are pleased that you are happy with the quality of product and speed of service which is entirely within our control. Unfortunately the cost of shipping products to the Highlands, (which is a lot higher than the rest of the UK), is not within our control, and your review score seems to be for DPD and not ourselves.
We do not include any shipping costs within the price of our products and this is therefore passed onto the customer at cost, based on the weight of the delivery and postcode. The cost of shipping is clearly shown before checkout so that our customers can make an informed decision on whether the total cost of the order is competitive against other suppliers. We also offer the option for our customers to arrange collection through their own courier if they are able to achieve better costs.
