If I could give Belairdirect insurance a ZERO I would. They are the worse company I've ever dealt with. At the moment I have been on hold for over an hour trying to cancel my house insurance policy. They are horrendous. I got cut off on two online chats before this. When we were evacuated due the forest fires last summer they took a week to get back to me and when they did they didn't do anything to. help us. I would recommend that you don't ever get any kind of insurance from these people. Worst customer service in my lifetime.

Poor customer service. They offered me 25% of what my vehicle was worth. Then left the driver who was injured in the accident without a vehicle or way to get to physical therapy.

A BIG Red Flag
MUSICIANS AND AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS ALERT – RED FLAG! Worst insurance company in Canada; I have never seen such an incompetent company in this country. They are good at luring you through their ads, but when you contact them for a quote, they clearly demonstrate that they don't care about their customers (existing AND potential). Called for a quote for a small apartment without risk, without a claim in the past (we've been talking about NEVER a claim since I was born). And they refuse to insure you for a few cameras and a musical instrument used for PERSONAL USE. I will ensure everyone I know does NOT sign-up with this business.
5 months to repair a bumper
I had a minor collision in July, 2023. Five months later my bumper still isn't fixed. First they told me there was a delay, I would have to wait two weeks. Then they sent me to the wrong appraisal centre. Then the adjuster went on vacation for three weeks. Then the garage they approved told me there were no parts. After four months of lies, I went to the dealer. The dealer said there was no lack of parts. The whole thing had been a lie. Belairdirect quarreled with the dealer to use after market parts. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing Belairdirect.
NEVER GO WITH BELAIRDIRECT
YOU WILL BE INFLUENCED BY THEIR SALES REPRESENTATIVES TO REGISTER WITH THEIR SERVICES as they might be a little bit more competitive prices than other auto insurances - This is what has happened to me - I regret it big times for not viewing the reviews on here. I offer pre-authorized payments and 6 weeks prior to the end of my auto insurance, I contact the customer representatives 3 times and I declared to them that I do not wish to renew my auto insurance. They ignored me and they kept withdrawing their monthly payment from my bank account. So the last month, I contact my bank and put a STOP Payments. Belairdirect has charged me $40 banking fees plus taxes. Now I am escalating this issue to the consumer alert at CTV NEWS. It is probably the worst auto insurance in the country - all they care about is obtaining your money
Very poor service
My awful experience started beginning of April when my car was flooded. It's now been more than two month, and my file still hasn't had any update since day one. They started by saying my car was a total lost, then they would repair it, back to a total lost, and last I've heard they would finally repair. No one can give me a precise answer, each person I spoke to from BelairDirect are throwing the ball at each other. They have sent my car to a scrap yard without telling me, my car came back with multiple chips of paint missing, rust from scratches, indents in the car doors, etc. Such a loss of time trying to get answers, all while having to pay for my car which I don't have!

Very poor experience. Had my policy cancelled without notice, leaving me exposed to serious liability. Worst part was spending over an hour on the phone being transferred to every department with nobody being able to assist.

What should have been a quick claim
What should have been a quick claim, took over 3 and a half months. The adjuster was incompetent and never replied to messages until I called the call center and asked to escalate. It took two months of asking for an escalation to finally speak to a manager, who was useless anyhow. I had to constantly call to get the car rental extended and follow up with where things were at. It was only when I called to complain that the claim moved forward one more step. It was a clear total loss situation from the beginning, but they dropped the ball at following up every single step of the way. In the end, I got 'sorry, thank you for bringing this to our attention and it is a great coaching opportunity for us.'... what? Why am I doing their work? It caused me so much stress and anxiety. If you want anything done, you have to yell at them and threaten to go to the insurance board and ombudsman. It's the only way they move things along. I got my settlement finally, but I'm STILL waiting for the rest of my reimbursements almost a week later. In my escalation to customer service, I had requested a steep discount for my next car... they ignored me. They just do not care about the customers, or making things right. I will be changing insurance providers.
