Very impressed by Bensons. Instore experience was extremely positive, knowledgeable staff. We actually ordered (rather than compare elsewhere) as the lady who helped us was so good. Hypnos 04 Mattress is gorgeous, it was expensive, but appears like a great investment so far! Arrived on the date agreed, delivery team friendly and efficient, wore shoe covers without being asked, tracking given and a call 30 mins beforehand. Made a refreshing change. Keep it up Bensons! Would highly recommend.

The manager, Scott, of the Colchester branch, treated us with great care even though the store was very busy we couldn’t have asked for more help, the beds that we were interested in were fully explained and my wife and I both got individual mattresses to suit our needs, we fully recommend purchasing from them, many thanks.

Lee was really helpful from the moment we walked through the door. She was friendly, patient and never pushy, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable.

She recommended using the SleepPro machine to help find the right mattress firmness for us, and then pointed us towards several mattresses that suited our needs. She gave us plenty of time to properly try them out and decide what felt best for us, without rushing us at all.

After listening to the fact that we were both side sleepers, Lee also gave us side sleeper pillows to use while trying the mattresses, which was such a thoughtful touch and really helped us get a proper feel for what suited us best. We ended up loving the pillows so much that we bought them too, and Lee even managed to get us a great deal on them.

We really appreciated her knowledge, patience and friendly approach, and we’re very much looking forward to receiving our new mattress that we chose. Thank you, Lee!

The service was excellent from start to finish. In the store Scott was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. From ordering to delivery I was kept fully informed. The delivery team, John and Brian, worked seamlessly to assemble the new bed.

So we have managed to get through three beds in the last six years or so. Endlessly buying 'cheap' frames online just to get by as we couldn't afford to splash out on something better. A week or two ago I woke from a night of pain; my back was in tatters. As I gently eased myself off the bed one limb at a time, the daggers of pain making their way down my spine were punctuated only by a dawning realisation that my backside was significantly closer to the floor than it should be. Alas, dear reader, yet another bed had gone. Fed up with useless slats held on by flimsy plastic, we decided to hot foot it to Bensons for Beds. There we were greeted by the lovely Liliana, who frankly was a breath of fresh air. She was FANTASTIC. She guided us onto the clever mattress tester thing and helped us choose our ideal type of mattress, before taking us through all the options available to us. She really, genuinely knew her stuff and was so patient while we took our time choosing (we *had* to make a better bed-decision this time). We chose a bed that she kindly reassured us would outlive the last two (RIP, stupid slat beds), and showed us how our brand new shiny bed would look after our poorly aging backs. We have since learned that Liliana is new to the company which was a genuine surprise; she seriously knew her stuff.

We visited Bensons for beds in Colchester and was very happy with our experience! We had a gentleman called Scott approach us to see of We needed any help... we knew we wanted a TV bed so he took us over to the TV beds and took the time to explain all the beds and offers/prices. Knew everything about the beds and answered any questions we had with ease!
Once we had chosen our bed frame he then showed us our mattress options that were in our desired firmness and price range. Gave us each a different pillow to try as to our sleeping positions and allowed us time to try all the mattresses. Overall was a brilliant shopping experience from start to finish (including delivery!) and we are very happy with our purchase! Would definitely recommend 💯

Firstly there is no pressure when you enter the shop, you are greeted with a smile, asked if you need any help, then left to look around. The staff don't hover over you but are close enough to ask if you need anything. My assistant was a lovely lady, she was very helpful & patient especially as it took me two trips to the shop to make up my mind! She gave me good advice on purchasing a mattress & waited patiently while I debated over which wardrobe I liked best. The shop had some very good discounts on when I shopped & I will definitely be recommending them to my family & friends.
