Bensons For Beds - Edinburgh Straiton Reviews 

We recently visited the Benson for Beds store at Straiton Retail Park in Edinburgh and had an excellent experience from start to finish.

We were helped by Stephen, who struck the perfect balance between being knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. In fact, we'd visited a number of mattress retailers during our search, and some of the more aggressive sales approaches elsewhere actually put us off purchasing. Stephen was different. He took the time to explain the different mattress options, helped us understand what would suit our needs and budget, and then gave us the space to look around and make our own decision without hovering over us.

What we particularly appreciated was that he focused on helping us find the right mattress first, rather than immediately trying to upsell additional products. That made the whole experience feel much more genuine and customer-focused.

We had narrowed our choice down to Benson for Beds and Dreams, but the service we received from Stephen ultimately brought us back to Benson for Beds later that same day, where we purchased our new mattress along with memory foam pillows.

The service didn't stop once we had placed the order. The delivery timeframe was excellent, with only around a week's wait, and we received regular updates throughout the process. We were even given a delivery timeslot several days in advance, which made it easy to plan around.

The delivery team were fantastic as well. They arrived early, delivered everything directly to the room of our choice, and even removed all the plastic packaging afterwards, meaning there was no mess or waste left behind. They were efficient, professional, and courteous throughout.

A huge thank you to Stephen and the wider Benson for Beds team for making what can often be a stressful purchase such a straightforward and positive experience.

I have dealt with Peter (the Manager) previously when I bought my bed and the service was top notch, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I needed to get a mattress for my second bedroom and didn’t hesitate to go back. Peter was understandably busy but came over to say hello and see how he could help. He then had one of his colleagues help me, Hannah, and she was also brilliant. Like Peter, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Once again it was a delight getting a mattress from them knowing we Gow the right one.

Gabriel, the sales assistant was 100% helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and he tailored our visit to a couple who clearly don't enjoy shopping. The experience was manageable and we went through each stage with ease. The beds were varied and the assessment was thorough.

Stephen and Peter in your Edinburgh showroom were very helpful, explained about all the different mattresses, bases and the headboards that they have and gave us plenty of time to choose what we wanted they didn't rush us. Excellent experience. Delivery came on time and they telephoned to let me know what time they would arrive, they took all my bed etc upstairs carefully and put them in the bedroom for me and told me all about the instructions for putting the bed together. Both the delivery guys were really cheerful and polite and very professional. I couldn't fault any part from start to finish would highly recommend Benson's to family and friends as you provide a first class service.

Was recommended to go to Benson’s by my son who had purchased a bed there several months beforehand and we were not disappointed. The staff member Stephen was extremely attentive and gave us plenty of time to consider options, and some really helpful advice when required. All in all a great experience.

Have bought on two previous occasions over the years, from Benson. Recently purchased new mattress (not required in relation to previous puchases). Excellent service from sales representative, Hannah.

Delivery date was met, updates regarding delivery were received and on the day, a call to let us know delivery would be within the hour. Delivery received 15 mins before earliest delivery time quoted (12.43-14.43)! Delivery guys polite and efficient.

On the day delivery went very smoothly - we were contacted prior to delivery with a two hour window, then a call the day before and a text and phone call with exact timing on the actual day. Delivery men were polite and efficient.
