The bed is beautiful
The bed is beautiful, however we are now on 2 weeks sleeping on it and it’s still harder than the mattress we tried in the store, we were also sold a protection policy which was not discussed at all and we didn’t want, not sure where we stand with that! When the delivery men turned up, one of them was a bit difficult, instantly said it wouldn’t go upstairs, I was trying to explain how to get it up the stairs and he was very dismissive, even though I said me and my husband had brought the same size bed down the stairs that morning, eventually after finally listening to me the bed went upstairs with no issues. I’m sure the mattresses will soften and we will get used to it. I love the storage and the colour of the head board.

Beware, Bensons for beds don’t honour there guarantee. We bought a mattress which had a 10 year warranty. After 5 years The mattress sank and had a big “hill” down the centre of the bed. They sent a “technician” to look at it, and he said it’s because we hadn’t used the centre of the mattress.😂. And the collapse of the foam was normal, and there was nothing wrong with the mattress.

The buying experience was great
The buying experience was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Delivery was by the manufacturer which was on time and with care. In hindsight should have gone for firmer mattress but that was not their fault.

I really liked the fancy machine that recommended the type of mattress and Andre was happy to show various options and styles and was friendly and knowledgeable.
The following day I returned to add a headboard and also met Nigel who was also helpful and cheerful.

No disposal despite being told it was included
We were told the old mattress would be taken away. No charge was discussed when placing the order.
Huddersfield store simply not interested and offered to collect it for £50!
If it's not on the order form it's not their problem even though they omitted it in the first place.
