It was my wife's birthday & we went to…

It was my wife's birthday & we went to Bernadette's in Salem, MA to celebrate. Bernadette's is a quasi French style restaurant. We had heard good things about it & thought we'd give it a try. I know there's no guarantee about eating out anywhere & some times it's a crap shoot no matter what the reviews say.
We had cocktails & they were delicious. So far so good. The hors d'oeuvres were ok, but the main reason for this review is regarding our entree's. I ordered Coq au Vin & my wife ordered Sunchoke Risotto. Not only was my entre cold, but my wife's entre was barely warm & there was a hair [yes, a hair!] on the rim of her plate. I explained the situation to our server & she apologized & sent our entree's back to the kitchen. Sometime later our entree's returned & I tasted my wife's' & it was at the right temperature as was mine, but with a slight difference. My original cold entre had two breasts, where now my new warm entre only had one breast. I did have one bite out of the original cold breast, but I thought that ordering & eventually paying for two breasts, I would have what I originally ordered. I was wrong. I almost said something to our server, but thought why should I? Three strikes already & we haven't made it to dessert!! So my wife & I finished our dinner, which was ok. Not the worst, but not the best. We had dessert, got the bill & saw that nothing was comped. Usually when a so called high end restaurant messes up three times with an order, management would make an effort to make things right, because they want you to come back. Management did absolutely nothing. I could of asked to speak with the manager, but decided not to because I was very annoyed & didn't want to make a scene on my wife's birthday. I've had time to reflect on what happened, so I write this review. I know it's long in the tooth, but I've made an effort to be as transparent about what happened as possible & present as factual an account from a customer's point of view.
The service was bad & the food was nothing to right home about!
