Good price, easy to book. Overall the move went well and was efficient. Driver was friendly when loading/driving. While we were driving someone called him about another job on that day which he accepted. As a result he was rushing me when unloading because he needed to get to his next job — even if we still had an hour of time for which I had paid. Completely unprofessional in my opinion.
Overall great experience. The removal men were polite and careful with my things. The work was also fairly priced.
However an extra charge spoiled the experience a bit and I ended up having to call Steve the owner to get it removed, which he did without hestitation.
Ask about these extra charges and price them in before committing. It seemed they charge a suppliment on top of their hourly rate for:
1) each extra floor they have to move things.
2) moving things not included in the move eg. dumping old furniture on the street.
3) long distances between the unloading point and the delivery address eg. if your flat is at the end of a long corridoor in a big block.
Personally I think these extra charges make things confusing. I'd get the need for them if they quoted a flat rate but as they charge by the hour, surely the extra work will be priced in anyway?
