The staff are friendly and the centre is very cleaned and organised.
The library is a great place for reading and seeing what books are available to learn things in situations.

My child had their first swimming session at Arcadia Library & Leisure Centre and it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The teachers were extremely helpful, patient, and friendly, which made my child feel comfortable and confident in the water. The session was well organised and the staff created a welcoming environment for both children and parents. My child really enjoyed the lesson and is already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for swimming lessons for children.

I have been asked by email to leave a review of my customer service experience. I have in fact cancelled my membership and I told customer service why. In the confirmation email it states cancellation reason - unknown. I stated clearly why I was cancelling. At an appointment for a weights induction I got a £60 parking fine. I have a blue badge. But there is a new system where I was supposed to inform reception my reg. I didn't know that and Better customer service didn't care. I asked for him to cancel my membership and he kept telling me I could do it more quickly on the app. I had to insist he do it. Why would he want me to end the call, pick up the app to do a job he could do?
At the appointment I was told to wait in the library. 20 mins after my time I went to reception and asked if I had been forgotten? They sent someone up to the guy I was meeting. He asked why I didn't just come straight up stairs. But I said was was told to wait down here. Is Better a complete mess?
Now I am left appealing the parking company. That day and my experience with Better customer service has just left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I have now had another 2 parking fines which total £300 I cannot afford to pay these as I am living on disability payments. I have no idea of who to turn to and I notice Better say nothing of this in their response.

Its a great place to train but the gym equipment is a bit lacking in variety and overall weight capacity.. does feel very crowded at times

The place is an absolute scam with 'managers' who don't have a clue. They are taking my elderly mother for a ride - who has been a loyal customer for a long time. She has accrued several parking tickets for sessions where she was entitled to park (which can be proven and will be proven to a court).
They keep saying they'll rescind the violation but the parking company say they have received no such request. Every time we go in to resolve this there is a different manager on shift and that manager is never available. They are literally lying to a 70 year told women repeatedly, convincing her they will help her, while allowing the parking agency to refer her to a debt collection agency. DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR CYCLE OF SCAMMING

Half an hour a week for a kid is not enough to learn how to swim plus keep changing the swimming teacher not helping either
Last session my little boy almost got drown by heading toward deep water that was his second lesson so the ppl who’s in charge they need to be more focus sometimes they put young ppl to teach which is wrong no experience they don’t know how to speak with kids

Honestly, this is one of the worst-managed gyms I’ve used. There aren’t enough machines, everything feels overcrowded, and the changing rooms constantly smell of urine. It’s disgusting and shows a real lack of care for members. The place seriously needs a deep clean and better maintenance.

I joined my 13 year old to gym and swim, started on the 14th September. It baffles me that he cannot come to the gym till and induction is done, which is not the problem. The problem is that there is no one available to do induction with my son for a week or 2. You happily take my money but now I have to wait and waste 2 weeks before my son can come to gym? I expect a reimbursement for the time/days my son waits to start gym. I would have given 0 starts but that was not an option 😡
