Fab centre!
Would love to see more women only swim sessions - especially that don’t clash with rush hour.
Fantastic disabled facilities- just maybe needs a bit of upkeep, otherwise great.
Some small maintenance of gym equipment needed.
Would also love some beginner classes for women- they look pretty intimidating!
Otherwise it’s a great experience!

Just when you think this place can't…
Based on below response it's £45 a month membership at this place so it isn't cheap (30% increase in 2 years) and everything is falling apart, instead of fixing things they just remove stuff.
They had around 10 floor mats now down to 4! A third of gym is closed off because of water leaks for past few months. It's a joke of a place, do yourselves a favour join somewhere else because you'll be facing 15% increases every year for a big fat ZERO!
Just when you think this place can't get any worse, after a 30% increase in prices the gym flooded 3 weeks ago leaving a third of the gym off limits.
They keep promising they are going to improve/replace equipment but nothing is ever done.
They won't even spend £50 on getting some rollers, which is beyond belief as these are cheap and basic gym items and especially bad after increasing prices by almost 50% in 2 years, making it one of the most expensive gyms in the area.
This place is an absolute disgrace, old broken equipment, parts falling off, nothing ever fixed, very poor management.

Atherton gym is nothing "better"
Atherton gym is nothing "better", bad odors, dirty equipment, no music most of the days due to "contractors issues". Just sad place to be in and nothing healthy abiut it. Mold in the deinking fountains.. just bad, not better

Quick swift response to my query
I contacted Better via Facebook Messenger to request a one-month freeze for swimming lessons at Atherton leisure centre for my children due to Ramadan. I received a response within the hour, my request was accepted, and my account was credited accordingly. I was also reassured that my children would not lose their place when they resume lessons after Ramadan.
Rachel was extremely helpful. Thank you to all the staff who dealt with my query so swiftly and efficiently.

About the gym
The scan to enter the gym does not work all the time.
Several equipments do not work in the gym.
The gym is extremely dirty does not appear like it has been cleaned.
The work out matts are all damaged.
Bins are never emptied. There are never staff around if you need assistance.

The family changing room has one toilet and it was very dirty. Urine over the toilet seat, tissue blocked in the toilet, unable to use.
