Donyngs team are great but customer service not so good
The team at the Donyngs have always been really curious and welcoming, happy to help when one of our badminton rackets broke so cannot fault the onsite team.
But when I setup the account I had the wrong facility selected and this meant that the wrong home centre was used but this has been fixed by the customer services team, the web site is kind of confusing.

I dislike the group showers
I dislike the group showers, all the other clubs have individual shower cubicles this isn’t hygienic & there’s no privacy. Women bring their male children in with them to shower after swimming too this is totally wrong some kids are over 5 years old. I strongly think you should install some separate shower cubicles in the changing rooms surely there must be some money in budget to upgrade this old fashioned shower system. Gym is good very modern equipment , good classes & sporting facilities. I would not have joined the club if I’d been shown the group shower facilities this lets the club down.

I have received a penalty fine after…
I have received a penalty fine after apparently missing a class I was in.
No response after emailing customer services.
Facilities are not great, no windows in Gym and feels very crowded with machines and equipment.
Fitness classes are very good.

I am very sorry to hear that you received a penalty for a fitness class you attended. Penalty charges are only issued if you do not swipe into your class, do not attend the class or turn up late for the class. If you attended but the gate was open and you forget to swipe your membership card they system will not acknowledge your presence and you will get a penalty charge.
I have now removed this on your behalf so you can now continue with your bookings. Please be aware that all future penalty charges will be required to be removed by staff at the centre.

The Aqua Aerobics class
The Aqua Aerobics class was great. The only downside was the changing area. There were no individual cubicles or space in the general changing area. I had to wait for a space to change out of my wet gear.

Learner pool too cold for children, showers poor.
We visited the learner pool today, but it was unusually cold. Our 18 month old was shivering and did not enjoy himself! Also, the showers are very poor. You have to stand so close to the wall to get to the little stream of water they are putting out. Have been to the pool many times before, even when I was a baby! Very different experience these days, we will be trying somewhere else next time.

Clean pool. Easy booking system. No queues as you simply scan in with subscription. Not overly chlorinated, as in it’s not so overpowering that it makes your eyes hit. Friendly staff. Good value swimming subscription. Plenty of parking spaces when I attend after work on weekdays
