An amazing Community gym
An amazing Community gym. I have been a member of numerous gyms over the years but this Better Health gym is super friendly and you get so much for your reasonably priced membership. Definitely recommend.

I have checked through our Customer Service inbox and we have not received any emails from the email address registered to your membership.
Also, your membership is not just a swimming membership, it covers gym, swimming and group fitness classes at Helston.
I have also checked and the pool at Helston is open every day this week.

Very poor app accuracy and customer service from call centre
We booked using the better app to go swimming at Helston swimming pool at 9:50am today, called and asked if ok to arrive earlier for an earlier session at 9:30am, as it was showing spaces on the app, was told this was fine by the better agent on the phone. We therefore travelled to helston centre to arrive and find it closed! The original cost to swim was £8.50 for myself and 2 children. But being forced to rebook for the 10am session having waited outside the centre for it to open the price was increased to £15.50! Raised this as a complaint with better explaining we had been misled and our time wasted and asking simply for delta between the original cost and revised price to be refunded but there was no interest from Better in resolving their error with the online system or misinformation on the phone. Very disappointed

During some holidays we offer swim for all sessions before 10 am and children only pay £1.
I can see the booking was made for after 10 am, this is where the price increase has occurred.

Incompetent duty manager
Bullying/harassment ongoing in gym/mental health user
For some time now myself&other m/h users have suffered stigma from the duty manager&his sidekick (red t.shirt pool attendant) from refusing to operate air con properly!! Turning it off when we train heavy,you need a good supply of air at all times,you have to open a window or door slightly to breath or a panic attack may happen(contacted h&s executive) by law..
The doors/windows are SLAMMED SHUT by these two fools very aggressively followed by insults&mocking/laughing at you!!.clowning around also in disabled shower some saturdays when no manager is present!!
I have had a General manager "chris;" overide these problems before "air con in heavyweights area" but he has left?? No one at reception knows who the g/manager is!!? ..after legal advice yesterday,a serious complaint will follow to head office @bettergym..
A new duty manager is needed ASAP with common sense&sense of humor!!
Better gyms advocate against m/h harassment dont they????

My dad and I went swimming today and we haven't been in the pool long, we get told to get out which is extremely unacceptable everyone should have longer swim if they want to not just the swim learners. I have learning disabilities autism and anxiety which this set me of big time. Apart from that it's a good swimming pool just a shame about stuck up life guards

We do have time limits on all of our swim sessions to allow everyone to enjoy the facilities. If you would like to stay longer, you can purchase an additional session to follow your initial session.
