Today attended Kateys Pilates lesson at ironmonger row. She is absolutely excellent , taking time to explain everything and observing all the class and helping anyone with adaptations if necessary. Good Body Conditioning class
Good body conditioning class with Katy. Good energy and workout and real sense of community.
Also use the pool and like the distance and that it’s not too busy when I go. Enjoy the spa treatments.
However the pool drain smell and changing rooms are not great!!

Pilates Sunday Ironmonger Row
I always really enjoy Katy's Pilates class on a Sunday. She is a great instructor, really knowledgeable and patient and it's always good fun in her class. Katy takes the time to make sure people understand the exercises and I always feel like I've had a good workout in her class. Her classes are popular for a reason and book up quickly. I'd go to more of her classes but I can't make the weekday ones due to work. Will continue to look forward to her class each Sunday.

They clearly oversell their memberships…
They clearly oversell their memberships as it's almost impossible to get into most of the classes. If you don't book within 1 minute past 10pm of opening of new bookings, they you have no chance! Then you get put on waiting list (if you are lucky as even waiting lists get full) and notified when place becomes available so you have to book again, but of course by then, the place usually gets snapped up by someone else.
It's actually quite a stressful experience trying to get into a class, quite the opposite to what I have signed up for. And this is a shared opinion amongst other members I spoke to.
Better, please get more fitness classes in, the studio is empty most of the time so it's not like you have no space for new classes. There must be many members paying their monthly memberships regularly and not going to classes because they are full. You are happy to deduct money from our accounts so please deliver the so much needed services.
PS: INSTRUCTORS (Alexandra / yoga & Demos / body con & cycle) ARE AMAZING! Years ago I used to exercise with Katy / pilates, body con, legs bums tums but I have not had the chance of getting into her classes!

Unsupervised Children in Gym
I am a new gym member and I was using the gym equipment. There were children under 13 using the wight machines without any supervision and smashing the weights down as they released, along with riding a scooter in the gym. I did report it to the front desk who informed me children are allowed in between 4-6. I went back upstairs to find one on a scooter on the treadmill machine. Not an environment that I think is safe for them or me. Not an environment I want to exercise in. Where were their guardians or someone from Better?

Lovely pool, staff nice. The Better website is good for booking sessions. Unfortunate aroma in the changing rooms. Seems at the moment to have sporadic opening times, but I see they are carrying out repairs….. let’s hope it is on the drainage?

The staff are friendly and helpful.
In particular one of the members of the reception staff- a young lady called UMMA
She was so helpful and kind. We had problems logging in and setting up our membership apps and she sorted the issue quickly and in s very kind, professional manner.
