Facilities were clean and instructors…
Facilities were clean and instructors were friendly and helpful, helping with lots of useful advice. The only negative was that when I went to my first class there was nobody at reception and I didn't know where to go.

Not happy with my current experience
We only used the facility for my son swimming lessons. The sessions run on Saturdays by Kelly 3-5 years with adult in a water are great fun, she is also great swimming teacher. Personally wouldn’t recommend class Foundation 4+ which is for school kids beginners or new to swimming if your child doesn’t really have experience. We moved our son and have been told on few occasions that we should move him back despite everyone confirming that this class is for him. Really disappointing. Also the length of notice once you cancel your membership is too long. Even though I have raised it with customer care, I have been told there is nothing they can do and even though I don’t feel like my son will have any progression during this class I am obligated to attend the classes until mid September and can’t get a refund. Luckily I have found for him great swimming school at the different facility with very friendly and supportive staff.

Jackie is amazing
Everyone is friendly and inviting. Classes are very enjoyable with a selection of choices. A huge shout out to Jackie at the Meadway, in a very short time I have found amazing results, not only in weight loss but in strength and agility to do some things I haven't been able to do for a while. Particularly core strength but mainly move my shoulders again, she really does know what she's talking about. Thank you.

Changing rooms,shower and toilets are filthy
On entering the changing room the floor and cubicles filthy, with hair balls in the cubicles and shower, toilets dirty with feaces and a strong smell of urine, the sinks not been cleaned. It felt like the place not been cleaned for weeks, you wouldn't think its just had a refurbishment. Staff are welcoming and friendly.

Excellent Gym, just oversubscribed
I think Better Gym is excellent value in terms of the range of classes available and the use of gym and pool facilities. However, the classes are definitely oversubscribed, so it’s difficult to make full use of the membership if like me, classes are your primary exercise choice. The options for classes and swim slots that are before 9am or after 5pm are limited which means often popular classes become fully booked within hours of becoming available, a week before. I would absolutely love this gym if I could utilise everything it offers, because the sessions themselves are excellent quality and I really enjoy them!

Our Fitness Classes are very popular so get booked up very quickly, however if you are a member you would get 7 days advance bookings so have the option to book in advance. I appreciate that you work outside the standard 9-5 hours but you also have the ability to cancel a booking at least 4 hours before the start time if you are unable to attend the session. I will pass on your feedback for the attention of the centre. Through feedback we can try to provide an even better service.

Fantastic staff, clean, but some equipment a bit tired
Affordable and all you need. Really lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Also the instructors super encouraging and fun. The pool and changing rooms are regularly cleaned and in very good condition. So are the halls. Unfortunately some of the gym machines are a bit tired, broken and could do with a bit of TLC.
