Great gym! I started with a short membership for a week. I was convinced to get a membership. Great options for cardio and weights on your own, all kinds of classes, pool, sauna, and personal trainers for when you want to up your game. Friendly, not crowded, clean, working equipment. What more could you want?

provide some towels and shower gel or at least notify new clients that you don't provide these items

Awful migraine inducing money saving change to music used during workouts. Some good instructors have left. Urgently review and change the policy so that instructors have the freedom to use music matching their energy/vibes. Disappointed by a social enterprise not being more aware and accommodating inclusivity of a plethora of music types/styles. Considering options for alternative new gym membership.

It is up to Better Gym to contact the Council or whoever to resolve the issue re tents etc. Telling members to do it is buck passing. Stop being so useless.

It is such a shame how bad this leisure centre has become from cancelled classes to limited equipment in the studios for fitness classes and the equipment which is present is so worn and damaged I’m surprised from a health and safety point of view there allowed to be used to a water fountain which has not been working for at least 4 months now all have been repeatedly reported to staff and management and yet still nothing has changed fixed or addressed to now management making the decision to change the music for fitness classes. Instructors are no longer allowed to play the playlist they have spent years creating and perfecting that made each class motivating enjoyable unique and a real pleasure to experience instead we now have a music system that constantly stops working struggles to connect to the internet plays the most strange out of sync music leaves you with a headache by the end of the class and at no point did management think to ask us members what we think especially considering these better centres are meant to be for the community and to find out that to keep the original music being played by instructors would only cost each member £2.50 to £3 per year is quite frankly appalling I would have been more than happy to pay that to keep the amazing playlists the fantastic instructors had put together who are these centres for management or members of the community I thought the idea was to promote wellbeing not cause stress but I suppose it’s about profit not people

It depresses me how so much is broken in this place and never fixed. The lovely light display on the pool wall, the middle shower in in the ladies wet changing room, the silly 30p token rip off and the machines that dispense them don’t even work, the swimsuit spinner…all broken…never fixed. Would be nice if it was maintained and cleaned.

Pancras Square Leisure Centre has a great gym, an excellent swimming pool, and good facilities overall. The staff are always friendly, and you’re greeted with a smile at reception every time. If it weren’t for one major issue, this place would easily be five stars.
Unfortunately, I’m giving it one star because of the sauna and steam room situation, which is completely out of control. These areas are consistently overcrowded with people staying in for hours. Although you’re required to book a slot and collect a wristband from reception, that’s where the control ends.
When you arrive for your booked time, the sauna is often already packed. It’s not a good experience opening the door to find 12 people inside, with some standing because there are no seats, despite a clear sign stating a maximum of 8 people. You then try the steam room, only to find the same situation—completely full, no seating, and no enforcement.
What’s worse is that many people inside aren’t even wearing wristbands. Some have bands from previous sessions, and others don’t have one at all. I’ve been swimming at Pancras Square Leisure Centre for six months and try to use the sauna or steam room twice a week, but I now dread it because there is absolutely no monitoring. I have never once seen a staff member check wristbands, and everyone knows you can simply walk in without booking.
On my most recent visit, the floor was extremely slippery because someone had covered themselves in cocoa butter. This is a serious safety hazard, and it only happens because nobody ever checks or supervises these areas. I genuinely feel sorry for people who book a 45-minute session hoping to relax, only to be met with chaos.
This isn’t the fault of the front-line staff—they work hard and keep the facilities clean, which I see regularly. The issue is poor management. The lack of enforcement and basic safety control in the sauna and steam rooms is unacceptable and dangerous.
I’m writing this review so that when an accident eventually happens due to overcrowding and ignored safety rules, people will understand why. Please go and see for yourself—you’ll immediately understand what I mean. This review is based on six months of regular use, not a single bad visit.
If the sauna and steam rooms were properly managed, this leisure centre would get five stars from me without hesitation.

My son has been attending paddlers swimming lessons with Kayleigh at Pancras Square leisure centre. Even after two weeks his confidence has greatly improved and it’s been a joy to see him walking up to his chin in water!

A pretty well stocked gym with a great pool. The gym floor can get busy but there's generally a good vibe around the place, people being friendly and supportive to each other. People clean benches and machines after themselves too, a rarity with gyms these days.
I just wish the weights room was bigger so the busy times were less congested (Monday evenings).

I am writing this review and giving 5 stars because of the amazing fitness instructor Natasha that does a Power pump n core conditioning classes on Monday and an Aerobics n Power pump classes on Wednesday at this centre she is honestly fantastic her classes are so well thought out from the moves we do to the little stretches in between and the perfectly suited selection of music which is so motivating I just adore her classes and you can work at what ever level that suits you she always gives you a beginner intermediate and advanced so you can go as easy or as intense as you like and she is so friendly and helpful always happy to answer any questions and I can honestly say since finding this fabulous instructor my fitness level has improved tremendously I’m able to increase my weights my squats are getting deeper I can see the changes in my body and though I do ache a little the following day it’s such a nice feeling because you no you worked your body in the right way so a big thank you to Natasha for being such a fabulous fitness instructor

Helpful staff take care of making you feel welcome right away, from your first visit onwards. Gym, swim and spa areas are pretty Clean. Pancras Square has well maintained modern facilities. The gym is equipt with a good variety of machines and free weights too.
I am looking forward to checking out some of the classes they offer - especially as they are free for members!

I don't have a phone and thus a plastic card is necessary. I was told one cannot be given to me, so I was dismissed as having to go elsewhere. Well, I am 74 years old and do my work at the BL. I am dealt with unsimpathetic short-tempered people. As things stand, I now come by the reception, wait 20 minutes in line, then they let me in. By then my workout should be almost complete. This is not a one-day problem. It is an on-going problem.
I did get a prompt response from Better and am grateful for how a solution is being implemented that will make my life so much easier. Thank you Charmaine!
