Initial thoughts on gym
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Monthly off peak rate is not too bad but facilities need updating as many things are quite old especially the resistance machines. I know some new machines are being added so this might help. The shower rooms also need modernization. I have off peak use but I would imagine that the gym room and shower room would struggle to accommodate people at peak times and therefore I suggest enlarging these rooms. To be honest there is a lack of decent gyms in West Cornwall (and close to my home in St Erth) which is why I chose St Ives since choice is limited. I would be prepared to pay much more for a better quality gym nearby.
