Thamesmere Leisure centre is the best…
Thamesmere Leisure centre is the best place to be. The management and staff are so helpful and polite. Always ready to help. That's the only place I know that if you are a regular customer and you don't attend for some time, they will actually call you to find out if you are alright. A very caring atmosphere. They put up the best classes with the best instructors
It's my second home, and I love it there.
I will recommend Thamesmere to anyone who wants to connect to some of the most beautiful people in London. I will repeat myself again, 'It's the best place to be'

Lovely reception on arrival.
Lovely reception on arrival, was shown how to scan in. Gym looked fantastic had not used Centre for over a year. Gym was clean and equipment in good order. Had a good workout.

The staff I met called Dermalo was so…great worker
The staff I met called Dermalo was so wonderful. Full of smile as if she has been expecting me to come.
She attended to me in a very nice way.
Very calm.
She explained everything to me in a clear simple English.
She took me round showed me around and how to navigate my ways to get to the gym section.

I don’t like that it’s very cold in the changing room. I use the gym and after when i go there it’s very cold . I don’t want to be sick .

Poorly maintained gym equipment
Poorly maintained gym equipment. Dumbbells frequently fall off the broken racks and cause injuries. Broken machines take weeks or months to be replaced. Not worth the money paid.

Joined as a member a few weeks ago. Before joining, I asked for a tour around the leisure centre and the lady who showed me round was great, really informative and friendly and gave me lots of information on the different types of memberships. I decided to join and have had a good experience every time I have visited. I’ve used all the facilities, the classes are great, the teachers are really friendly and the other people in the class are friendly (A lot of other classes I’ve been too, run by other companies, I’ve found the classes can be quite clicky). The swimming pool is great, I go during the day and never had any issues with it being to busy. The gym is good and a variety of machines, but it does need some TLC as looks a bit rundown, but the machines are always clean. The staff are what makes this place great, always friendly, helpful and ask how I’m doing. I would highly recommend using Better Gym Thamesmere.

This gym met all my expectations:
1. Excellent customer service, very helpful, kind and smiling lady.
2. My Induction Trainer was very helpful, understanding and explains safety procedures of each machine and how to use them in order to have a fitness outcome desired.
3. Environment clean, spacious, good lighting and other users were friendly.
Tried all the cardio and some resistance machines, which are all I needed to build up my muscles, strengthen my ligaments, tendons and improve my bone density for my cardiovascular fitness needs.

Not an impressive first visit
It was my first visit and it wasnt a great first experience. I booked to attend a pilates class but it didn't hold as the instructor didn't turn up and couldn't be reached. I decided to use the machines so as not to waste the whole time.

Had us sign up for a membership, didn't mentioned need for induction for a child. Second visit, refused entry, appointment booked for following Tuesday for induction. Arrived Tuesday, no one on site to do induction. Told to come Wednesday, went Wednesday, no one one site for induction. Manager promised a call back to arrange induction, now a week on, and no phone call

Thamesmead gym
The gym is completely run down hardly any machine working especially the treadmill. I would not recommend at all.
