The swimming teacher was hopeless
The swimming teacher was hopeless, not at all proactive with teaching and using the limited time efficiently. My child even commented afterwards that “the teacher looked like she was bored and didn’t really want to be there”, this is comment from a child.

joined Walthamstow FeelGood Centre (London) and had a very good induction trainer (Liam) who showed me which equipment to use for my purposes and how to build resistance/get results quicker. Equipment is plentiful and in good condition and I am able to access whatever I need without a long wait. A lovely coffee in the cafe is my reward. Would recommend. (I have the gym and swim but not yet used the swim so cannot comment.)

Could be better!
Hi, its a great facility but I do think you need to invest in your customer service. They reach out in weeks, and sometimes they don't even know what the problems are, and you keep coming back explaining what's happening with no resolution. Till this day, my account doesn't work for payments, and it's an IT problem that needs to be escalate but the reply is we don't know. I'm paying full price and a "I don't know" doesn't help, I'm not coming to CS saying I can't pay and keep going to the gym right? So it would be nice to have this problem fix.

Love the classes at this gym, the pool changing rooms could do with updating and need a good scrub, but apart from that this is a lovely gym :) the staff are always super friendly and the yoga and mindfulness classes are amazing

Badminton courts are mostly occupied with meet up sessions
Most of the time courts are used for meet up sessions and they are selling out the courts and making money. Hard to find badminton courts for an individual.

Great gym and leisure centre
They offer mindfulness sessions as part of their fitness class offers. They have wide range of fitness classes from morning to evening, they also offer swimming lessons at various centres that have a swimming pool. Some centres offer women only swimming lessons.

No car keys, No bank cards, No Spa!!
The access to the thermal spa and experience on the day of my visit was an absolute disgrace. My wife and I pre-booked and paid a total of £54 for a 2 hour spa experience. Unfortunately we left without gaining entry for the following reason. We were told on arrival that we had to leave a deposit to be given the band which gives you access to and from the spa. However the centre does not have a card swipe returnable deposit option at the desk. They believe or not actually ask you to leave a high value item with them which they supposedly return to you when you return the entry band when leaving the centre. We were given a form to fill out which showed previous patrons leaving items such as bank cards, car keys and watches. I was not leaving my car keys hoping some random member of staff would securely lock my keys away until I returned their precious entry band. Neither would I breach guidance given by my bank and hand over any sort of bank card to gain entry to the spa. The fact that other people had done so is irrelevant and I made that clear on the day. It beggars belief that Better would take such a stance, leaving themselves and their staff open to various allegations if those leaving bank cards find irregularities on their accounts. A clear data breach as well as insurance litigation when not if something goes awry. It’s only a matter of time.

Great fitness centre
What a great place to maintain your fitness. I regularly play Badminton here. Every tuesday there's a two hour session for 'seniors' costs £3 and they even provide tea and biscuits. I've been to a few classes here- the teachers are consistently excellent, as they are at all the Better Gym centres I attend. Front of house staff are always friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are kept scruplously clean.

Great Flagship Pool
I only use the pool and I have had a good experience swimming where you can use all tools to support and improve your swimming techniques. I have also had adult lessons and they are good in their approach, as I have taken those learnings away and can swim much better. All staff members are helpful.
